"BENEDICTINE FAMILIES STAY AWAY! The smell of death in the parking lot should've been our first hint that this was no slice of heaven. We proceeded to the check in desk. The attendant, in her pajamas, helped a man paying for an additional week's stay. She ignored us, clicking slowly on her computer mouse, no eye-contact. I was about to interrupt her game of solitaire when she dead-panned, "may I help you." It was not a question. My teen daughter and I decided to join my son for freshman move-in....
