"Loved the historically accurate home and setting. It is obvious that the owners have taken great care in building and decorating it after the colonial Virginia period. Delicious, ample breakfast in the morning after a welcome with chocolate chip cookies and tea/coffee if one wishes. Lovely room with very comfy bed and pillows. "We were competing in a regional B.A.S.S. tournament on the James River and the house was in a very convenient location to Osborne ramp and park. The house was as advertised, and the communication with the host was exceptional! "

"Great location & wonderful amenities! You can’t beat the beauty of the river’s view and the woods that surround the property. We stayed with our two young sons and they loved playing outside, the arcade games, and the dock. The only draw back for families is not having an internal staircase, but it wasn’t too much of a problem for us. This is definitely more for a rustic getaway rather than a luxurious stay. It worked very well for our family of boys. "

"The hotel is located in an area close to many things. The cleanliness of the room was not good; one of the bed blankets had blood on it, as if it hadn't been changed. We were tired and didn’t have the energy to go to the main lobby to ask for a room change, so we opted to just request a clean sheet. There was hair in the bathtub, which makes me think it wasn’t cleaned very well. The beds were comfortable, but I don’t think they are queen size; they seem more like full size because they’re small....
