"This secluded home on a remote lake was very peaceful. This place is ultra clean, very spacious, and ideal for a family or friends. We appreciated the ‘no pet’ rule as both of us are sensitive. It’s close to Rice Lake for restaurants and local events there. Carrie also decorated this place with a simple but elegant understated beauty, so it was easy to maintain for us. "Codax retreat was a fantastic home for our family of 14 people (ages 2-60). We did have to get creative with sleeping situations with kids as some of the sleeping areas are in the loft which is very open. We comfortably slept 8 adults in beds and 2 kids in the bunk beds. The other four kids slept on kid air mattresses (not provided). The 2.5 bathrooms were great to have. The open space was great and the garage - the kids LOVED. There were so many games/activities for all ages. We had plenty to...

"We had the most amazing time at Chuck and Sherry's. Our family will cherish their memories on the lake (the pontoon was an absolute blast), on the dock catching fish after fish, and watching the sun set over the beautiful lakefront view. They were amazing hosts - available whenever needed but leaving us to enjoy our stay as well. Getting to see some awesome horses was just icing on the cake. We're already booked up for a return next summer and can't wait. "

"We had 2 families with adult children stay here. We had plenty of room. We had a great time and only wish it hadn’t rained as much. We did get one day to enjoy playing pickleball outside on the driveway and then going on the lake for a boat ride. Id say our only complaint would be that 2 pull out couch beds were not comfortable. And the “library desk area” could be better utilized as another room or a twin daybed (trundle bed). Thanks so much! We hope to visit again!"
