"I have stayed in Sri Lanka 4 times previously so I know what to expect. The Eden hotel employees are very kind and polite. But other taxi providers are not allowed to take you to or pick you up from the hotel! So the extortion on taxi fare charges is controlled to the point where nobody will charge you less than 9,000 rupees to take you to the airport and we even hear of violence between taxi drivers if you don’t use the taxi drivers that control completely the Eden hotel gates!!!!!"

"Excellent and welcoming staff. Nice clean rooms with beach view. Excellent food. Quiet and convenient location. "

"Noisy 2 dogs on property barking very loudly periodically thru night not best welcomes me only guest maybe tells you a lot, worst stayed in dur ing Sri Lanka Visit"

"By far, one of the best places to stay. Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Room was HUGE, and the breakfast prepared by Sarath was heavenly delicious. I, as a traveller for more than 30 years and with 50 countries known, can say that this place is perfect for spending a great time. "

"A really comfortable 21-night stay in this delightful villa, with its beautiful pool and garden. The host and his staff team were the stand-out feature, serving up tasty breakfasts and dinners, keeping the property spotless, ferrying us around by tuktuk, and looking after us in so many ways! There was very good air-conditioning throughout the villa and a superb beach at Bentota just 15 minutes away."
