Home was beautiful and well kept. It was very adequate for our needs and we really enjoyed our stay. We didn't use the pool as it was pretty windy on the days we were there but the pools were clean. Over all great weekend at the house and would choose to stay again.

Dupre Family Vacation

Property was excellent with a few issues. There was a leak in the roof on the third floor, adjacent to the family room. The third floor bathroom door is hard to close. The door handle to the garage needs to be fixed. There was also a few roaches in the kitchen. The biggest issue was the parking. The website listed up to 10 vehicles, we received an email just prior to arrival listing 8 vehicles and once we arrived the yard sign indicated 6 vehicles. We did receive a citation for the amount of vehicles, but the citation that Beach Reunion received indicated that we were parked on the sidwalk which was not the case. The golf cart did block the sidewalk for a short period of time while we were unloading the vehicles. We did move 4 vehicles to another parking area because we were told the citation was for too many vehicles. Otherwise the stay was great!

Long weekend wedding getaway

Property was great as advertised. One fridge was not working upon checking in. Management was contacted but no one ever showed up to take a look at issue even though was told they would come by. Also, kitchen had the small roaches. We took care of that on our own. House needs to be sprayed for bugs better.

Great for large groups

Check in was easy. Place was nice, roomy and great for large groups. My only “complaint” would be to book with the host directly as we paid a VRBO service fee to not use them for anything besides initial payment. All contact went through Hosts email. Would book again.

The house was amazing!

We had a great time with six families at this house. We had more than enough room! The beach was beautiful and within walking distance, however, the space allowed for all the vacation homes is not nearly large enough. Your best bet is to load up and head down the road to the state park which has plenty of room! Really the main concern we had was the poor drainage in all of the smaller showers. Other than that…the space was adequate, the description of the house was spot on and the location is perfect for a large group!

Vacationing in Destin, FL

Our family had a wonderful time. 11 children were involved so they participated in many things. They enjoyed their room from the top floor outside to their individual rooms. It was only a couple blocks to the ocean so the golf carts were used. The kitchen was short on cookware so we bought what we needed. Three refrigerators were great. My room had a broken blind. There was also a broken bed in another room. I think they were trying to finish a remodeling project just before we came. The pool was great. All in all we had a wonderful time as a family there!!

Pool maintenance hadn’t came until end of stay. If we hadn’t called they wouldn’t have checked it. Also, there’s roaches. Silverware drawer.

Beach House

My family enjoyed our time together at the Beach House, but it definitely could have been cleaner. We found candy wrappers under beds, the furniture was stained as where the carpets. Also, we killed a lot of cockroaches. There were 15 of us, so the size of the property was perfect. The proximity of the house to the beach was a quick walk, but if you are looking for a quiet location that wasn't it. Neighbors on both sides of us played very loud music until 3am several nights.

Life's a beach

Disappointed

I am sure it is difficult to keep a property updated, in good shape, and clean when you are renting to 20 plus people. But, this house was more run down than we expected. When we arrived the pool was dirty and full of yellow algae. The skimmer baskets were not working and the water was cloudy during our stay, even after they serviced the pool. There was black mold on the ceiling in two of the bathrooms, along with noticeable water damage to the baseboards. The carpet in the bedroom I stayed had multiple, multiple stains. Needless to say, I did not feel good walking around in bare feet. Alot of the furniture was also noticeably beat up, worn, or stained. For the money we paid, I would not stay at this property again. Every shower I took on the second floor was cold, also by the way!

Very nice house in a super location

We stayed for the month of January to work and school remotely, a unique opportunity due to covid. We brought my folks along also, so with six of us in the house we still had all kinds of space to spread out and everyone have their own area. The house does have some wear due to being a rental, mostly in things like how drawers move and carpets that could use a cleaning, but we had no real complaints and very much enjoyed our stay. Overall we loved staying here, and the elevator is fantastic if you have family members who aren't able to do stairs. The location is half a block from two different beach accesses so we could be down there in just a few minutes. We definitely didn't want to leave at the end of the month. A couple of tips if you do stay here.. That kitchen light switch you are looking for is between the refrigerators! The only bit of trouble we had with the elevator was due to leaving a door open for a short length of time. Let's say you are just going upstairs to grab something, don't leave the elevator doors open while you go get it, just always shut them both. We had trouble with the outdoor fireplace, it needs some maintenance but even assuming that is addressed you need to know if functions like a pilot light, not like a grill where you just turn on and light. You need to hold the knob in until a temp sensor is satisfied before it will stay on. I will also say that Beach Reunion was a pleasure to work with, so even if you don't rent this one if you see them on another listing have confidence that your rental is in good hands.

Spring Break Review

Our stay got off to a rough start. We arrived at 5pm, and even though check-in was at 3pm they were still cleaning the property. Apparently one of the previous guests had thrown up and the area required extra cleaning. To make matters worse, they had also broken a bunk bed which left us two needed beds short. To Turnkey Vacation Rentals (property manager) credit, they did send over a maintenance man the following day. He was wonderful, and fixed the bunk bed and was very accommodating. In addition, there were not enough bath towels on-site to allow for one per person, so we had to do laundry just to have enough towels for everyone. Other than that, the property suitably served our needs and the property manager was very responsive.
