We stayed here June of ’23-It was clean & beautiful. We enjoyed it so much that we booked it again this year 6/24. Sadly, our experience was a LOT different this yr.
Upon entry we were met with a gagging odor! EVERYTHING was damp, if not WET - the floors, counters, furniture, BEDDING and bath towels! We dried the towels to be able to use them after a shower!
There were no sheets for the sofa bed. We got them the NEXT day but had to sleep on our beach towels the first night…There was mold/mildew around all the vents & water dripping down the grates-It was nasty. We contacted Debra several times regarding the problems but either got no response, weak excuses or total disregard. On Day 3 I sent Debra photos of the wet floor & the mold/mildew around vents & expressed my concern regarding AIR QUALITY. (my mom has COPD). Her text: "Theres a lot of humidity because of the gulf.” She clearly thought we must not know the difference between normal gulf moisture & an AC unit problem!
After leaving I received a text from Debra apologizing for the ac problem & an offer of $100. After this acknowledgement that there was an actual problem-$100 is not sufficient compensation for a damp bed for 6 nights. We were unable to stay elsewhere after spending $4k for this unit. We chose this location with its close proximity to the beach for my mom (COPD). Spending more for lodging wasn’t in the budget.
We are considering reporting the condition of this unit to the FL Dept of Health.
