Palms of Destin visit

We enjoyed our stay here. Nice spacious living area and balcony overlooking very nice pool area. Family friendly place, and good location just a short drive to beaches and attractions.

Honeymoon stay

Are stay was perfect from the room to the whole property being very clean and nice the staff was amazing the hotels and the pools were cleaned daily even multiple times a day if it stormed or was really and there was a mess it was cleaned almost instantly

Destin stay

This was our first time traveling to Destin and i will say we will be back. This resort was absolutely beautiful the rooms were clean the condo had plenty of space with the bonus of a kitchen and dinning area with appliances included. It is a very family friendly resort and the staff are very friendly and helpful when needed. The view from the outside patio was gorgeous and the amentities included were a plus! I would highly reccomend staying at the palms of destin amd will definitely be back with my family.

Good stay

This was our first time staying at the Palms. It was in a perfect location as far as food and other amenities. Publix and Walmart are right down the road. Beach access is right across the street too. Check in process was easy. Parking deck offered ease to our condo. The only bad thing was we couldn’t find any “blue carts” to load our stuff on and take to the room. So we had to make many trips to unload. We enjoyed the gym too. We did not get anything from the coffee shop. We wish they offered smoothies for after the gym, but found a smoothie place at the commons down the road. The pool was great! Never had an issue finding seats or tables. However, we do wish more shade was offered on the pool deck. But the water seemed to always be clean. Our room- it met our needs. The master bed was extremely firm and woke up a few times with neck and back hurting. There was also only one thin blanket offered. But plenty of pillows. The washer and dryer were located in the kids room. This made it hard to do laundry while the kids were sleeping because the dryer made a lot of noise. The dryer also wouldn’t dry clothes on one cycle. We had to spin 2-3 times to have them dry. The shower in the master room leaked like crazy due to the position of the shower head. We ended up placing towels on both sides of the bath to absorb the water. Other than those mentioned above, it was a good stay. Nothing that we couldn’t get past.

Upgrade

The living room furniture was pretty outdated And the pillows are pretty dirty the front door you had to slam it each time in and out, which made a noise, Had a view of the pool but rather view of the ocean, which were told that that wasn’t available. There was a hard time grabbing cards to transport your things to your floor. I’ll give the reading three I wouldn’t give it a perfect rating. My kids enjoyed themselves.

Wasn’t clean and the hallways smell awful

The cleanliness of the unit wasn’t up to par with our standards. The washing machine was dirty. There was a nasty red/black film in the washer so we had dirty laundry the whole trip because I did not want our clothing touching it. The floors and the kitchen chairs were visibly dirty. The floors definitely have not been swept or mopped. My kids feet were BLACK at the bottom from walking on the floors. When I wiped the chairs down, you could see the dirt on the chairs coming off on the wipes. There was a used/dirty plunger in the bathroom that made me sick. All of the pillows looked old and yellow. We went to the store and purchased our own pillows to sleep on because I was too grossed out to sleep on the ones in the unit. The couches had stains and the kitchen/dining furniture needs to be replaced altogether. I’m afraid of what else hasn’t been cleaned that just isn’t visible to the eye. The worst part…..the hallways and elevators smell awful. I got sick every time I stepped out of the elevator. There was a very strong vinegar/ketchup smell every single day. We all had to cover our noses to get through the halls and elevators. The building and unit just seemed really outdated. Even the splash pad and pool area had rust. I will say that all of the staff were very friendly and helpful, so nothing against the staff at all. They were a pleasure. While we enjoyed our Destin vacation and the beach, I don’t think we will stay at The Palms or use Compass Resorts again based on th

Great experience!!

The place is strategically located for it to be close to everything! Destin Marina is like 10min away and you can go to crab island. Also the pool was fantastic, big enough for all guests. There’s a restaurant where they had live music and karaoke nights! Definitely coming back we had a great time!

AMAZING home

We booked this property only a week before our vacation and it did not disappoint. EXACTLY, like pictured. Something that isn’t pictured that should be is that there is a washer and dryer in the unit which is a HUGE bonus for us. I hate coming from vacation with dirty laundry. This unit even came with washing detergent. This home is beautiful and equipped with everything you need; pots, baking dishes, blender, dish soap, PLENTY of towels, and etc. Also the view is pretty good. You overlook the pool, it does have a few trees in the way but not too bad. Absolutely LOVED this beautiful unit. Will book again. Also, access was easy. It’s a code on the door. We had no issues.

Great time for the family!

Property was clean and not too packed over a holiday. Pool was cold but it just had rained for several days. My son got what I think was food poisoning from the wings at the condo restaurant. I ate something different and was fine. He was much better the next day and we refused to eat there again. Overall, I would stay again. The condo itself was beautiful and had everything you needed. Limited pool furniture because they were waiting for a shipment that was supposed to come in February…..so bring your own chairs. Most loungers were gone. We spent a day at the beach and it was beautiful.

Will Book Again!!

The property was very nice and the condo was clean when we got there. The kitchen was well stocked and even had a Ninja Blender which was a surprise. The pool area and hot tub are nice as well. Overall it was a very enjoyable stay and the property has a lot of amenities.
