This property was exactly as the pictures showed. It was perfect for our family. While we did get a surprise when we could not use the beach that was a 5 minute walk from the house the beach chairs available at The Crab Trap were perfect!!

Wonderful Experience

Absolutely loved our stay at the Hook Wine and Sinker Vacation Rental in Destin, Florida. I’m not including any photos here because, frankly, the online listing is spot-on—what you see is exactly what you get. The home is incredibly spacious and beautifully laid out, with high ceilings and an open-concept design that makes it feel even larger than it is. Every room is thoughtfully decorated, blending modern coastal luxury with comfort in a way that immediately makes you feel relaxed but pampered.The location is also a huge plus—tucked just a short stroll from the beach, it offers the convenience of quick access to the Gulf without sacrificing privacy. The pool and patio area are perfect for unwinding, though be aware that the neighboring balconies do have a clear line of sight to the space, which can make for a few unexpected social moments.A few quirks worth mentioning: The home gets a lot of natural light, which is beautiful during the day, but the master bedroom in particular lets in more than you might want if you’re sensitive to light—bring a sleep mask or something to block it out. Also, the master bedroom doesn’t have a standard locking door, just a decorative swinging one, which means toddlers can (and will) make surprise appearances.Overall, a fantastic and luxurious place to stay—we’ll definitely be back.

Beautiful Home

The property was gorgeous inside. The pool was surprisingly was much smaller than it appeared in the pictures. But we adapted. Somewhat disappointed that we were not allowed to get into the house even an hour early. They said they had time locks. But on our departure, they wanted us to let them know if they could get in early to clean. It should go both ways. It was very confusing to go to the beach. There is a beach at the end of the street. But we were told that we could not stay on the beach as it was private. You had to go down a few houses . The beach area that they have reserved chairs is down at crab trap beach, which is about a half mile away. So when you’re carrying stuff you have to go by car. There’s a restaurant in parking is very challenging. But the beach was actually quite lovely down there.I would recommend this house again, but you need to know about the beach.Management was quite helpful about the beach access and very friendly

Destine Paradise

The house was wonderful. It had everything I was looking for in a vacation home. Except I wasn’t told about the rat traps in and outside the house. Why rat traps in this location you might ask, for snakes of course. Yes I’m aware that Florida has snakes just not informed that they were prevalent in urban area. Maybe the 2 snakes we had were trying to find the dead rat on the side of the house. If you don’t mind no hot water occasionally, then this is your VRBO! We had maintenance people over almost daily. Brand new grill, used once the night before, and they were over maintaining grill the next morning. There were maintenance people for gardening the yard, moving garbage cans twice a week, and to fix the water heater. It was fun trying to catch some sunshine when extra unwanted visitors were always dropping in. As this house is owned by a corporate entity communications were as expected. Call back on their time. Would I stay here again, never for the 5500 a week it cost me. It was lovely having a heated pool for an extra 400. Nice location. Walking available to most places but you have to cross the bustiest road in Destin. Just say a prayer before crossing with little people and you should be good. This was my first VRBO experience and I am hesitant to go this route again.

Perfect Destin Getaway

Beautiful Destin Home Near Beach

The home itself was absolutely beautiful, clean, and overall comfortable. The location is excellent; while not on a busy road, the home is extremely close to all of the beautiful beaches. We were very happy with our stay, and there is no complaints at all. The hosts are excellent.

Hooked Us to Stay Again

This house is absolutely amazing! The owners have thought of everything you would need for your stay and all the amenities are a bonus! The home is welcoming and very comfortable for a large group. The plunge pool was a perfect hang out after being on the beach all day. The walk to the public beach access is short, but just at a mile to the area with the reserved chairs so we drove to the beach to take advantage of the reserve set up. It was perfect! We were also very thankful for the grill and grill tools. The house was very clean and fully stocked! We will be back!! Thank you for sharing your home!!

Fabulous everything!

And our family of 10 just enjoyed a four day stay at this property. The house is full of amenities- beautifully decorated, fully stocked, kitchen, front porch seating, back porch seating, Cabana/grill, private, swimming, pool, spacious backyard, corn hole area n more. I love that we could spread out to different areas if you want it quiet to sit and read. A short 2 block walk to the beach made it easy to come n go as you wish for the most part. Owners were very thorough in their communication. Lovely property- would highly recommend and would definitely return.

Great house and great location!
