Host communicated very well with us from post reservation, leading up to stay, and during the stay. We had on minor issue, but it was resolved very quickly. Property was perfect for our stay and highly recommend staying with RealJoy!

Honest opinion

Our stay was lackluster to say the least. Despite having to wait until 4 pm even though it was a holiday, check in was easy. Starting from the beginning, the couch had visible stains, the toaster already had toast and crumbs all over it, and one coffee maker had an unknown substance on it. The secondary coffee maker was broker, leaving us with just a Keurig to use, which we of course had to supply the expensive coffee pods. The baseboards under the dishwasher were coming apart, causing a headache anytime we wanted to use it. The washer and dryer were severely lacking. The clothes were sopping wet coming out the washer, requiring multiple additional spin cycles to remove some water. The dryer took 5 cycles to get our clothes to a damp dry before we finally gave up. The glass top stove had multiple scratches and a large chip that posed a risk to our safety when in use. The manual specifically states it is unsafe to use a stove in this condition. Moving to outside the home, the listing mentions multiple times that there is a heated pool at the house. What they fail to make clear is that it costs $75 a day to use. This is mentioned in a hidden menu at the bottom of the page. The umbrellas on the pool patio were broken. On one side of the house, loud construction was continually taking place, in addition to blocking the road multiple times. Our codes for beach access would not work. The neighborhood and area were lovely. But overall, I am disappointed with our stay

Family Getaway

Family Vacation 2024. First one with our grandbaby. We had a great time as a family. The home was beautiful and very spacious. Everyone was able to have their own privacy space and we enjoyed having family dinners together for a whole week. Great Location & Property

We loved our stay! The house and location were great! It was a short, easy walk to the beach. We also enjoyed the private pool. One complaint is it’s marketed as being a 5 bedroom home. One of the bedrooms is a side room off a master with clear French doors…so there was no privacy for the couple that stayed in that room. Would be ideal for a family and their kids. Other than that absolutely no complaints! We had a great time!

Great Place to Relax

We spent a long weekend here to celebrate my friend's upcoming wedding. There were 8 of us and the house had plenty of space. Real Joy responded almost immediately when I had questions, but I didn't have many. The listing was very thorough and the property was exactly what we expected. We had a very relaxing and wonderful stay! I would definitely recommend them!

All Good

Property was advertised. Clean was the property, corners and behind of items could use attention. Bedding and dishware appeared to be freshly washed. Lawn was cut 8:00am sharp the second day of visit. Pool filter was full and pool water wasn't crispy clear. Could not smell chlorine nor could fine tablets for water treatment. Overall 7 out of 10. Didn't help for sale sign in front of house.

Family Getaway

We had a great stay! Would consider staying here again. Could use some updates and fix the upstairs balcony railings. Just not safe. The pool was key…warm and clean and enjoyed after a day at the beach.

A day in paradise

The online pictures looked better than the property. The pool needs to be repainted. There were chips on the bottom of the pool where the paint had come off. There wasn’t lighting in the pool or the back yard. The gas grill was not cleaned. The check in process could have been much smoother. I thought that I would receive an email with access information but that information was on the front door. We had a good time on the property and after finally getting in the house we realized that this was a good choice for being away from home!!!!

Decent Stay at Good Location

Overall experience was good. Rooms, Bathroom and Living area was smaller that it showed up in property pictures. Kitchen was well stocked and swimming pool was neat and clean. Kids had lot of fun at pool, i wish it could have came with heated option. We had a water leak issue from the living room ceiling but maintenance guy showed up next morning and did the bandage work. Overall we had a good time!

Relaxing staycation @ Destin Beach House

This beach house was perfect in terms of location, space, cleanliness and décor. The kitchen was equipped with all the required utilities. The bedrooms were spacious. The pool was small though, but enough to relax. We were there for Hallooween weekend and hence the host was thoughtful to keep some candies for the kids along with a hand written welcome note. Access to beach is like only 3-4 minutes away. We had a good time with barbeque in the evening. Also kids loved playing in the community Tennis and Basketball court. Winn-Dixie and Publix was easily accessible within 3 miles. Morning walk by the beach is a good start. This is the perfect spot to simply relax. If your looking for easy, relaxed, and still be eventful; then be sure to visit Boardwalk in the evening. You will love it! Sand at the beach was white and soft like powder.
