The unit was lovely. Loved having the private elevator. Master bath shower was really fabulous. Furniture was comfortable, view was great. Mattresses were okay. I had asked the host ahead of time 2 questions... Was the coffee maker a Keurig and did the owners provided beach chairs. I was told the unit had a drip coffee maker and beach chairs were NOT provided. So we brought them which took up a bit of space in the car. We arrived to find a Keurig coffee maker and a closet full of beach chairs and sand toys. The other issue was that the entire resort was without water for an entire day as a pump was being replaced. We did not receive any notice of this and when we asked the contractor performing the work he said it was a pre-planned event. It would have been nice to know ahead of time.

Wonderful unit but getting the key cards was a nightmare. It’s off location and the lock box is ancient and doesn’t unlock as it should. They expect you to return the keys there , again not able to get it unlocked had to stuff the keys and wristbands in the crack of the box door because the box wouldn’t open. Not fun times at 6am.

We had a fabulous time! My main complaint is we woke up to no coffee on the first morning since we all brought k-cups and the keurig didn’t work. The ‘extra’ bathroom is pretty small.

Great ocean view condo

The condo is great! Everything was clean, had amazing views, and direct beach access. We did have to buy our own beach / pool towels to use. You can rent an umbrella/beach chairs or take the chairs from the condo to the beach and save on the rentals. Overall great stay and would book again!

Family Time!

We enjoyed a long weekend at the condo. We were at the perfect height for a Birds Eye view of the pelicans flying by. Enjoyed the beach, pool and condo. The nearby restaurant, The Back Porch, was easy to walk to and get some family meals quickly!

Beautiful day place to stay

This condo is absolutely beautiful. The views of the beach are amazing. Everything is very clean and there is a lot of space to stretch out. The kitchen is fully stocked and made making Thanksgiving dinner a breeze. I enjoyed spending the holiday here with my family. I’d love to come back here again.

The check in process is not one we are use to. I don’t think you should have to drive to get keys/return especially when everyone is tired and ready to go. The place was fine but could use some updates. But looks as pictured. We had one key that wouldn’t work and I messaged immediately and they stated they would bring a new one however after several messages each day no one ever brought one. Still whatever enjoying our trip. However our last day I was changing my infant on the floor and a giant and I mean giant cockroach came right passed us. Overall leaving grossed out. This place isn’t the worst but definitely not the best.

Beautiful and Clean.

We would highly recommend this condo. It has large rooms and the kitchen has everything you need. The beach is clean, pool is hugh. We will stay here again. Thank you for a great experience!

Beach with besties

3 couples on an end of the year beach getaway. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at silver shells. The beds were comfy, great location and fun times were had! The only down fall to our stay was the condo seemed to have a musty smell. There was definitely a lot of moisture in the air as we plugged in the dehumidifier an emptied the water quite often. The other was the coffee pot didn’t work. There was a back up but it took about 45 min to make a full pot .Other than that the condo was perfect and we will definitely be back!

Wonderful Condo!

This was our first time in Destin and we could not have picked a better place to stay! The condo was beautiful and the gulf views were perfection! Everything from reserving, check-in, and check-out went as planned. The condo was comfortable and well stocked with everything (dishes, pans, utensils, etc.) we needed. We loved the parking garage space and easy access to the elevator and pool. We look forward to staying here again!

Family Trip 2023

We stayed at this resort last year and loved it, so we had to come a 2nd time. We booked this room so we would have a beach view. The condo is beautiful and very spacious. The kitchen is ready for anything you need and is so organized! We love Silver Shells for its location and amazing amenities. The beach bar and beach service really save the day if you don’t feel like going up to your room for food and drinks. The only downfall was the rip tides. Mother Nature did not want anyone in the water this week!

Most beautiful Condo in Destin!!!!

This Condo was absolutely beautiful! The wrap around balcony with emerald view coast was breathtaking! Huge Master that was separate from the other two bedrooms for privacy. All three bedrooms had full baths. Extremely spacious and newly renovated! Five Stars and we will be back!!

Wonderful vacation!

The condo was exactly as described - beach is absolutely beautiful! It does seem as if you can’t use your own beach chairs and the rentals can be a bit pricey but it honestly makes for an uncluttered beach atmosphere which was very nice. I would definitely recommend this property

water damage evident

The condo is in a great location I can see how they could possibly have renters year round. Upon arrival we were given wrong parking information. This prompted security to find us, accuse us of parking in the wrong place. We were given the wrong information on our check in package. We had to spend our fist day dealing with this. We entered into the condo and we could smell mold and water damage right away. They do hv a dehumidifier running which is obviously needed. The primary suite bathroom did not have a working shower, the tub was also broken. We checked in on saturday and the shower was not working for three nights of our stay. The bath tub was never operating. So we had two small showers for two families of four, not ideal. The maintenance team did come and fix both showers, bc the guest shower was not working either. The last day someone flooded the main elevator and we were unable to use it. There was another one in another area, very thankful. This condo could really be amazing if the primary suite continued to work and they get the tub fixed. The tub looks like it needs to be replaced. I am not sure what they can do about the apparent water damage? The floor near the main bathroom was buckling. The location is suburb, there was enough space, if only those few things could be amended I would agree to pay the top fee like we did. Some people might be excited about the large tub for themselves or kids so it would be ideal that it works. It seemed most condos came with a pre-paid set of chairs and umbrella. That would have been a nice touch or if the local rental company would have offered to pay for those bc of the other inconvenience.
