A very roomy home. It fit my family of 13 very comfortably. The bunk room was awesome! The pool was even more awesome! Quiet neighborhood, beach right there. There were a few things I took note of and let Elizabeth know as most often, the host doesn’t know what needs replaced/fixed if guests do not let the host know. She was very easy to talk with and helped with a few things at the beginning of the week! Overall, a fantastic stay, a fantastic week and one of the hardest places to leave in the numerous times we have been to Destin. We have put Casa Del Mar as our favorite and hope to make it back soon and maybe to one of their other 4 properties! Oh, and there are crockpots. Just in case anyone is wondering!

Nice neighborhood, easy beach access, clean pool.

The home is situated in a very nice, clean area. Close proximity to the beach and a quaint coffee shop called "Camille's". The parking next to the home will fit 3 cars but it's very tight fit and 2 is more reasonable. As an experienced short term landlord, I wasn't overly impressed with the home. The fridge has broken bottom selves, sand in all the beds as if the sheets hadn't been washed, no beach towels, the pool lacks interior lighting for nighttime swimming, the beach wagon needs updated, some beach chairs are broken, the backyard gate needs adjusted, black marks along the walls in the upstairs hallway, no hand soap in any bathroom, a possible presence of mold in the ceiling vent up stairs, broken shower door handle upstairs, the Tvs in the carriage house wouldn't work and overall the home seems worn needing a refresher.

Family vacation

So over all it was okay, I didn’t want to leave a bad review I just think the property could use some TLC. Almost all the door handles were loose, the dinning room chairs were bent and made it easy to fall off, the handle to shower in the master room actually almost came off the door which made it hard to get into the shower. The bunk bed in the pool house wasn’t in the post which we fixed before the kids slept on it. Which was all kind of whatever, the most frustrating thing was the fridge had almost no shelves (they were broken) and drawer was also holding a shelf up so you really could use it. We had 13 people staying here for a week obviously we needed food but that cut the fridge space in half. It just seemed the over maintenance of the house has been neglected. The location was perfect and the beach you had access to was awesome and the kids absolutely loved the pool.

Beachy Stay!

We had a wonderful time staying here. The house is a short walk to the beach and the area is calm. Everything is close by to be able to make a quick run to the gas station or grocery store. The house and cabana were big enough for the 12 of us and the pool was a big plus. The owner was quick to answer and very nice. I would totally recommend this place for anyone wanting to visit Destin.

Casa Del Mar

We had a week of awesome weather and spent a lot of time at the beautiful pool. Close proximity to Camille's for a short walk to get coffee and/or drinks. The neighborhood was quiet and low traffic. Short walk to the beach access, and the accommodations provided by the house suited our needs.

Great location and property!!!

We loved this place! Only a few short blocks to the beach, the location was amazing. House was newly renovated and super clean and nice. A thing to note - they only give enough toilet paper to last the first night/day. It didn't bother us, but it's nice to be prepared! Highly recommend and would 100% stay again!

Wonderful week at the beach!

So close to the beach, an easy walk. House is roomy and loved the cabana which was so handy. Made for lots of privacy and good for anyone sleeping in. The pool was really relaxing and a nice size. Easy communication with owner and would definitely stay here again. Our family had a wonderful vacation.

Family Reunion

We stayed at Casa Del Mar from June 25th thru July 2nd, 2022. Its about 5min walk to the beach. The beach had very clear beautiful water and puffy white sand. One of the prettiest beaches we have stayed at. We had a few glitches in the beginning but Elizabeth (owner) quickly took care of any issues. The property was very clean and the pool was crystal clear. We really had a great stay. Everyone enjoyed themselves

Excellent property

We loved everything about this house, from the rooms to the pool to the location. Communication with the owners was great. We had an issue starting the grill the first night but I was able to communicate easily with Elizabeth and the issue was quickly resolved. The home is spacious and very well stocked. The pool was perfect with our kids and the carriage house was a great addition. The house is a very short walk from the beach, which was important to us. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. Will definitely book again, at this property or other locations!

Amazing stay for a large family vacation

The property was really clean expect for the porch area for the cabana with the beach gear in a mess and the patio around the pool was not recently cleaned but nothing major. We had a family of 12 and had plenty of room between both houses. The amount of pool and beach gear was amazing. Overall an amazing house for a large group and a easy walk to the beach. Will definitely be staying again!

Great for families

We stayed here during Spring Break and had a great time. The place is more sea green and peach despite its fluorescent appearance on the website, so that was a pleasant surprise. The rest of the photos are pretty accurate, the house is beautifully remodeled. The kids loved the heated pool, the “grandparents house” (aka the pool house), and the enormous kids room which could have slept our entire family. It is a block and a half away from the beach access, which takes about 5-10 minute walk depending on how much stuff and how many kids you have in tow. Neighborhood is top of the line but still attracts some noisy partiers at night so bring earplugs. We liked how close it was to upscale restaurants, shopping, and groceries all within a walk or minute drive. Owners are attentive, proactive, and very easy to work with. Would recommend overall.

Great place and location!

The house is in a great location and was super clean. The pool are and pool house are also very nice. Communication with the owners was very easy. The only issue we had was a few broken outdoor chairs, which wasn’t a big deal. I would def stay here again!

Family Thanksgiving!

Our family was blessed with the opportunity to spend some time together in Destin Florida. We had an extended Thanksgiving holiday. Wednesday thru Sunday.... Our Group traveled from Arkansas and South Dakota age range from under 2 to 70.... The family adventure was spectacular. The hospitality from the owner of Del. mar was beyond amazing. Every need was met!some way beyond. Expectation... The house was very clean, well organized, location was great for easy beach access... plenty of sand toys for kids at the beach.. Master bed was very comfortable.. will stay again in this beautiful home

Fabulous home and perfect location

We booked this home for our family vacation and it was perfect. Everything was as expected and definitely did not disappoint. The walk to the beach only took a few minutes and we were extremely close to restaurants, shopping and grocery needs. The hosts were wonderful to work with as well. I would highly recommend this property and will definitely book this same home upon returning to the Destin area in the future.

10/10 would come back every time!

Owners were so helpful and the place was so cute! We enjoyed every second of our stay and the walk to the beach was not even 5 minutes!! The pool is perfect and the carriage house makes it easy for everyone to have room! Grateful we found this place!!

Great house and location

We were lucky enough to spend 4 nights at Crystal Beach and had an amazing time. The house was clean and comfortable for 5 adults and 4 children. We opted to pay extra to have the pool heated and it was nice and warm for our stay. Very short walk to the beach. We’ll be back!

Paradise!

Everything about this house was amazing! The owners were super easy to work with. Loved the beachy decor. Loved the pool (the extra charge for heating it was worth EVERY PENNY). Loved the separate carriage house. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked. The house even came stocked with all kinds of beach equipment. Best of all though, was how close the house is to the beach. We were shocked to see how close and easy it was to get to two different beach access points! We really couldn't have asked for a better vacation in paradise and cannot wait to come back next year!

Perfect Vacation

I could not be happier with my decision to book this house for my family vacation. First of all, the house was spotless when we arrived. I am a stickler for cleanliness so this was a big deal to me. Second, this house was so close to the beach! Way closer than I even imagined based on when I checked the map. It was so easy to get to and from the beach, even with my kids. It also helped that the house comes with several beach chairs, umbrellas, a rolling cooler, and even a wagon to carry everything to the beach - the owners truly thought of everything. I could go on and on - the house was super cute and beachy, the pool was so nice and surprisingly private, even the string lights by the pool made for a super fun night time environment! The last thing I want to mention is how great the owners were to work with. They literally responded in minutes to any questions I had both before and during my stay, and clearly care a lot about their property. You can tell this isn't just a "rental property" to them - it is their home and the put a lot of time and effort into making sure their guests have the best vacation possible. I cannot wait to book with them again!!
