Lovely house. Poor management. Wifi and tv service not operational for duration of the stay in spite of 4 visits by the service tech. Check in instructions regarding the pool were buried and not part of check in materials to review beforehand. Lack escalation and follow up by the management. Recommend you look at other properties not managed by this group.

The house was great. Like so many rental properties there were some normal wear and tear but overall excellent house in an excellent location. Five Stars has really improved their customer service and communication. I would recommend them as a 5 star company to rent a home from.

It’s what you expect but nothing impressive

You stay here for the location the house has potential with amazing features if they worked such as spa and pool. Really need to clean the ceramic out of pool, we couldn’t use either as the filters and heater didn’t work. Fireplaces didn’t work, couch needs a good steam cleaning. Elevator is a fire rescue waiting to happen as it doesn’t open correctly. It’s all about the many rooms and location great gated community and community pool and tub. We stay in this community four times now this is our least favorite house mainly to the features not working and outdoor areas being old and dirty.

Was basically nice. Unfortunately, some of your prior guest may not have been as kind to the home. The kitchen faucet was broken but it works. At least 2 kitchen drawers were broken as someone must have pushed down on the drawers and broke the runners. Also a few other small things were broken. It's a shame it's a nice home. We did enjoy the experience and would do it again. If the owner asks for an idea on an improvement the walkway to the beach could be raised to pass over the sand dune. It's difficult for older people or small children. Just a suggestion of course

Family Trip

The accommodations were great. My husband fell in an ice cream shop when we arrived and spent two days in the hospital so we did not really get to enjoy the beach but the house works well for wheelchair and walker.

Loved the property, 5 star support was fantastic, 1 gate security person and Destiney by the sea manager both treated us terrible. Gate pin pad wouldn’t work even for them, but they became angry at the guest. They are enough to make me not rent again. I would love to speak to someone about this

Best Family Memory

Thank you for such an amazing experience! Our family enjoyed every minute and the access to the beach with the incredible view was breathtaking. We will definitely be back! Also, the convenience and support from the maintenance team when called was so professional and timely throughout our whole stay. This place is fabulous and would highly recommend to any family that want a weekend away for rest and relaxation.

Sent email to owner of Five Star Properties because it was that bad!!

There isn't enough room to even tell all the problems we had with this house. It wasn't clean. Hypodermic needle left in kitchen, open can of baked beans and chips in garage. Plumbing problems and maintenance came out our first night and he overflowed the toilet from the upstairs bath into the bedroom below all over the bed. They didn't clean until the next day and we had to call them. Dishwasher was broken before we checked in, AC went out on Tuesday night and wasn't fixed until Friday before we checked out. My mom missed the bottom 2 stairs because they blend with the floor and she spent the day in ER with multiple injuries. I got locked in 3rd floor bedroom. I stepped out on the balcony to go to connecting bedroom then I slipped and fell because there are no rugs by doors. The pool is terrible, duct tape all around on the cracks on the ground and broken tile. There was mold by all vents. I can't fit it all in this post but I am very disappointed in this home and Five Star. Unacceptable for the money you pay for 1 week. I have pictures and videos of everything. I sent email Friday July 23 and still no response from Five Star. This was our 2nd week stay for my husbands 60th birthday our first week was amazing at another location. Highly recommend using Your Friend At The Beach for future bookings. I have been visiting Destin over 30 years and have never had this kind of problems in the past. Was not handled professionally at all and the owners of this house need to step up and do the work or sell it to someone that can.

The location is perfect. The layout of the home is good. It would have been perfect had it had a second gathering area- a second TV room or living room. The gulf views from so many of the rooms was beautiful. The pool was used all the time. The grill was a great asset.The kitchen was not equipped as well as it should be for a home this size. We were ten people and there were no decent frying pans and only one oven mitt. In addition, the icemaker in the main refrigerator should be looked at. The design of it causes ice to overflow the bin and collect under the drawer. Plenty of flatware , dishes and glasses. Another issue was that our first night a smoke alarm started beeping at1 AM and continued on and off until 5 when I called the emergency number. He suggested we remove the device from the ceiling which we did. Someone was dispatched to fix the alarm sometime late that afternoon. He came and did something, we thought, however the second night it went off again and again ten people were awakened. This time we removed it from the ceiling and did not call in a report. Our week was wonderful, but our overall impression is that the house could use some maintenance. It is a beautiful home that gets a lot of use.

Wonderful Family Holiday

Beautiful home and property

Some things wouldn’t work- the fireplaces in the master suite and family room but would work in the master bath. Never turned on the gas to heat the jacuzzi after 3 requests, it was locked so I couldn’t do it. TV in family room far too complicated for most people to use. Just the small things kept me from giving it a 5 star review.

beautiful setting and property

great 4 day vacation birthday celebration with 9 adults. very responsive management and maintenance for couple of little questions. Every place in house was completely spotless clean. all baths had luxury feel, not just master bath- which is over the top. Nice to have elevator for luggage. The view of Gulf from living room feels private and like right on top of surf...can hear waves from deck and balcony. Well constructed 10 ft ceilings and little upscale details. in a gated neighborhood of upscale homes. Speaker system runs off a Sonos app.

A great vacation spot. Highly recommend.

Great views. Wonderful beach with clear water. A pool with an ocean view. Bedroom balconies over the beach. Two minor things to change. Get a better trash service or more trash cans (they didn’t pick up any trash bags set on the ground) and the security guard was a bit over motivated to squash any nighttime conversation that’s “over 55 decibels”. But minor nuisance to our stay. Great place.

Could be a nice property if properly maintained

This home is a great location but has many issues: Pool and hot tub did not work, leaked, shut of at random, lose broken and missing tile. Deck was covered in black mildew, drain channels were plugged with dirt and mildew (took an hour to clean). TV remote missing. Dishwasher did not work. Alarm system was off but randomly went off all night. Some shower drains plugged. Steps to beach were falling apart. Deck chairs were falling apart from rust. Wine cooler did not work (corroded plug and outlet are fire hazard). Due area infront of home has can, bottles rotting word and paper and shards of glass (clean what we could easily reach). Rental agency 5 Star Properties did noting to fix issues. Would never rent this property again or any property handled by this agency. Interior cleaners were good and grocery shopping and food caterers were very good. Pool people had no clue how to fix hot tub and other service people left with out fixing anything!! Stay away from this property and this rental agency!!!!!! It is a great community and beach.

Front row seat for beach bliss!

Millenia is beautifully and luxuriously decorated while still feeling welcoming and comfortable. The pool and hot tub are located with a perfect view of the ocean and the rooftop deck gives the perfect place to watch the sun set each evening. We were close enough to walk to local shops and restaurants but far enough off the beaten path to enjoy minimal traffic with easy in and out of the gated neighborhood. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and large enough for the family to congregate and enjoy talking during meal preparation. The open floor plan is ideal for everyone being "together" without being on top of each other. We saw dolphins every day. The beach chair service made it so easy to relax and this property has private beach designated just for its visitors. We weren't scrambling for a piece of beach every morning. If you are in the market for a luxury beach rental with all the bells and whistles, this one is worth the price tag.
