Destin Trip

Location of the house is excellent. Close to the beach and other attractions. Layout of the house works really well for big groups. Pool and hot tub are really nice to have as well. However, there were a few negatives. VRBO check in says 4 PM but property calls to tell you it could be any time between 4 and 6 PM before its actually ready. House was painted right before we arrived so it had a strong paint smell. Certain appliances also didn't work well (toilet had an issue, dishwasher filter needed to be cleaned). Finally, the TV in the living room didn't work and had a much smaller TV in front.

Wonderful

Great home and furnishings. pool and outdoor kitchen a great area. Would not reccomend to those with mobility issues. Alot of stairs and if you have small children, take a safery gate

Perfect Getaway

Wonderful location. Private pool and hot tub. Steps away from the beach. Beautiful home with everything you need. Shopping very close as well. Owner and Compass were super responsive. Will stay here again for sure.

Spectacular

Good afternoon. the experience in this house was EXCEPTIONAL. The house is spacious, comfortable and spectacularly decorated. The pool has a view of the lake which makes for a beautiful view... the toilet without any detail to say. It has 5 super comfortable rooms (more comfortable beds and pillows than the ones in my house😅) with a bathroom each and a half bathroom in the living room. The first floor has 1 room with a King bed and another room with 2 bunk beds for 8 people, the second floor has 1 room with a king bed and the third floor two rooms with a king bed and in the living room a sofa bed for 2 people for a total of 18 people. the beautiful and comfortable kitchen for several people at the same time with utensils for all the guests, everything you imagine you need in a kitchen you get it there... the owners thought of all the details and did not let anything go unnoticed. the path to the beach is very short, I counted about 120 steps from the house to the entrance of the beach. When you get to the beach you have someone register you because it is private and that area is only for those who are staying there. The rental of the house includes an umbrella and 2 chairs, they allow you to bring your chairs and umbrellas (they do not allow awnings) and if you don't have them, you can rent them right there. Umbrellas and additional chairs cost $50. I would like to summarize that the stay in this house is a DREAM. We will definitely return next year.

Beautiful home and perfect location!

The house is gorgeous and very clean. Lots of space, great pool/hot tub and a very short walk to the beach! Very nearby to everything in Destin and backs up right to a nice lake, which is peaceful. Check in/out was super easy and the management company was extremely helpful when we accidentally left an item behind at check out. Only items to note were that while the kitchen had a more than enough cooking utensils, dishes and gadgets, there were no spices or anything so you do have to buy all of that and throw it out when you leave if you plan to cook there. Also had to purchase dishwasher and laundry detergent, as there was only enough provided for a couple loads of each. The upstairs master bathroom at the back of the house has large windows that lack window coverings and privacy glass (except in shower) so we felt exposed to neighbors whose windows looked right in. Otherwise, it was everything we hoped for and we would return here in a heartbeat!

Moseley summer vacation!

Property was beautiful and had everything we needed to enjoy our week in Destin. View was amazing and private beach and pool great. Kids and grandkids really enjoyed location and easy access to beach and pool!

Perfect for families

The best house for a family vacation in Destin. Well-maintained. Kid-friendly. Super quick walk to the private Dunes community beach. Heated pool and hot tub. Beautiful lake views from the deck and patio (feed the turtles!). You can spend a whole week at this house without needing any other entertainment--which is exactly what we did.

Amazing Home

Great floor plan and location close to the beach. Very short walk to beach. Access to garage is nice to put cars in. Very clean inside the home and beautiful finishes. Host needs to pay more attention to cleanliness of landscape. Need more instruction for use of the hot tub.

Casa Di Amore Destin

This is a great place to stay, located very close to beach with a great pool and patio area. Enjoyed watching the wildlife off the deck. Had some issues with the ice maker, but all issues were resolved quickly. Management was very good to work with. We had 10 adults, and there was plenty of space to get together, or have our own space. The location is very central to lots of restaurants and activies, but the traffic on HW 98 was terrible. Had to wait quite often just to make a left turn. Decided to take a short drive down the coast, but were afraid we weren't going to get back due to traffic. There was some road construction, but I have a feeling that Destin has allowed too much development with not enough attention to infrastructure. Overall good experience.

Beautiful property and views

Overall this property had everything we needed for our family vacation. We enjoyed the heated pool,hot tub and waking up to the beautiful view each morning. The only issue we had was checking in early. We were told we could check in early but had issues with the entry code. We weren't able to check in early after all but once we got in the rest of the stay was amazing. I recommend staying at this property for sure!

Grown Folks Getaway

Let me get the bad out of the way: the neighbor on the right would blast her music at 6:30 pm EVERY EVENING no matter how low we had our music, the first night we never turned it on because we didn't know how, to the point we would go in because it was so loud. the water faucets in one of the master baths needed to be dipped in some CLR. NOW the GOOD!!! I love this house. From the customer service to the Swimming pool. From the location entrance and the community was inviting. This home was everything! A much needed relaxing place for adults to enjoy the down time. The beach access was very close and within the community that captured the security and needed peace when you are away from home even in the mist of this pandemic. Did I say Customer Service gets a A plus(before, during and after my stay). I recommend getting the pool heated during your stay you will thank me later. I will be coming back.

If you missed the road entering into dunes of destin then you missed it. They need street lites

I wouldn't use compass resorts again. They just aren't educated enough on destin and some girls weren't friendly at all. One girl Stephanie was awesome.

Bachelorette party!

This is our second time renting the house. First time was ten years earlier, didn’t disappoint either time! We love the back yard pool on the small lake and the short walk to to the beach.

What you see is not what you get.

This home was poorly cleaned and poorly maintained both inside and out. It had a beautiful pool and hot tub, however where you sat near the landscaping was a pile of old broken furniture that was piled up and not taken away before we arrived and was not removed during our stay even after calling about it twice. The pool was dirty and there was mold and mildew around it. There was lattice around the hot tub that was coming off. The outside furniture and wet-bar were covered in old bugs, cobwebs and spider eggs/sacs. We did have clean sheets and towels but as a whole I am not sure the property has been heavily cleaned in quiet sometime. There were piles of dust under beds, in the ceiling around the fans,etc. the garage door also broke right after our arrival. The rental company was timely in responding to our issues, however most things did not get fixed or taken care of. I did appreciate not having to pay the cleaning fee. I would definitely not stay at this property again.

Covid stay

We stayed at the beginning of all the closures. By wednsday of our stay all restaurants and beaches were closed. The pool became the awesome hangout. The kitchen became our 5 star dining. Great house and great location.
