Amazing views, amazing pool, and amazing amenities. Perfect for kids, family friendly environment with lots of entertainment.Unit had boogie boards and lots of sand toys to use. We really enjoyed having the beach bar just steps away to not fuss with going off the resort for lunch/dinner. Host was very quick annd accommodating with any requests. Overall we loved vacationing here.

The area rug in double bed room, under the dining table, and the rug at the sofa area were so dirty and old, no one should have that old and dirty kinda of rugs, It make my skin crawl and I wanted to vomit everytime, I think about it. They could have changed those rugs, they are not expensive.

Beautiful resort, security needs improvement

Beautiful resort, we enjoyed our stay immensely. However, the security of the property could use improvement. The elevator in this property opens directly into the unit. You must have a key card to access each unit. However, there could be people accessing other floors on the elevator when it stops in your unit. This did not feel safe at all. Not to mention that I'm sure maintenance workers could have a master key that could also access your unit without your knowledge. Also, there is one door that opens to an outside corridor. That door does not have a deadbolt or latch. It only has a simple lock on the door knob. If I was staying here alone with my kids I would not have felt safe at all!

Everything we expected!

This unit was amazing. It was perfect for my family of 5. One teenager, one pre teen and a 7 year old. Everything was clean, organized and we had everything we needed. The unit was stocked with beach toys, a cooler, beach chairs and a very unique private elevator entry that made us feel very secure. Communication with the rental company was impeccable. Any question or request that we had the response time was prompt and informative. Looking forward to returning to this exact location! The only thing that I wish was different are the palm trees in front of the resort that mildly blocks the complete shore view but this did not hender the quality of our stay. 100% recommend!

Renters Beware

The few most important things to me while visiting Destin is my balcony view, my beach chair set up to see the view, and decent mattresses. This unit does NOT provide an unobstructed view of the gulf. Palm trees are right in the line of sight so you only get small peaks of the gulf. This property rental group does not have a relationship with the chair rental company, so no vouchers are provided for a beach umbrella and chairs. At the price of this unit, you still have to pay an additional $1000k to rent two sets of chairs and umbrellas. Many other rentals provides this service for free. So if sitting in front of the gulf is important to you, be prepared to pay a hefty price to do that. The mattresses were terrible. The washing machine ruined our clothes; it was filthy and our clothes came out stained with a black substance. The unit is large; but completely dated. Again, at this price I was VERY disappointed in this unit. I personally would never rent this unit again and I would never rent from Beach Blue Properties.

Won’t stay at this unit again!

The pictures grossly misrepresent the unit. There is not a square inch of this place that doesn’t need updating. Cabinets don’t close, furniture is beyond old, washer and dryer are so old the dryer vent folded in half when removed to empty and dryer left black smudges on our clothing so we got to bring two weeks worth of laundry home, we were there for two weeks and like things clean vacuum did not work at all! One of the toilets ran every ten minutes which is a waste of water and annoying. Very disappointing VRBO and owner are misrepresenting this unit. We won’t be using VRBO again.

Fall Retreat

Love the Silver Shells location. Our condo was not very clean--toilets were not clean, and floors were very dirty. We were told we would have 6 wrist bands provided and there were only 4. When we requested someone to clean the toilets and bring us more wrist bands we were told they would--NO ONE ever came! The kitchen linens were very limited. We were disappointed as this was our 4th time to stay at Silver Shells. In the future we will seriously look at other options in the area.

Poor communication and horrible check in process with the management company. I will NEVER book thru Blue Beach again. The floors were dirty throughout the unit. The 2nd master bedroom was at least 10 degrees warmer than the remaining unit. We had to buy portable fans to make the room tolerable to sleep. Very disappointing

Great Property Great Location

Great stay ( minor things were taken care of right away ) very nice property - clean everywhere- easy excess to beach- pool- shopping- restaurants etc. Definitely would stay here again!

Beautiful place

Our stay was very nice. Communication with property manager was easy. Check in was a little awkward but once we got in everything was great! Location is very nice, love the pool area and the access to the beach. Lots of teenagers here so our teens were happy that they had people to hang out with. Beach was beautiful. Wish the unit came with chair and umbrella service for the price … it seemed like there were tons of chairs and umbrellas that weren’t being used but were owned by the resort but we couldn’t use them 💁‍♀️

Perfect Vacation

This area is beautiful! Next vacation I would love to bring my sons and grandchildren for sure for my next stay. Although had some trouble with getting into building on arrival. Codes did not work and luckily someone let us in front entrance after struggling. Wish there would be more amenities for the properties as toilet paper, Paper towels and garbage sacks for we arrived with Uber and our rental car was not accessible till a few days later from another family member. Also, when describing where trash dispenser is please indicate it is by back door for we never used the back door during our stay other than first entering unit. Otherwise, all in all a beautiful place and I would defiantly stay again if this unit would be available.

First time in Destin

We loved the location and the proximity to every store imaginable. The view off the balcony was beautiful and it’s very peaceful listening to the waves. Lots of restaurants to choose from or you can cook in the kitchen like we did for several meals. Highly recommend!
