Wonderful stay at Silver Shells

We love all the amenities offered. Our place was more than enough room for the two of us. RealJoy responded promptly when we contacted for several small problems early in our stay. Our suggestion to improve the overall appearance is to replace all rugs which show wear and have seen better days. This goes for the couch pillows as well. Bedding in the master bedroom was lacking. The top sheet wasn’t even large enough to cover the whole bed. There were no extra blankets so I had to purchase a throw to use in the living room and the bedroom on chilly nights. These are minor fixes that would add to comfort and first impression! We love Silver Shells and plan to return next year.

Love this place!

This was my first time booking a VRBO. And all I can say is no more hotels for me! This property has its fair share of rules, but its worth it! The property is very clean and well maintained. The amenities and location were perfect for my family of 4. We liked to people watch from the balcony. We were minutes from the beach. This condo was so nice! We had plenty of space. It appreciate the little extras like the books, games, and extra beach equiptment. Check in/out was so easy! They even checked on us mid trip which was really nice. We truly enjoyed our stay!

Week stay at Silver Shells

Third time staying at Silver Shells. Always have stayed in St. Lucia building. Love the unit design and window views of the gulf. Enjoyed the super large pool, pickle ball courts, and the fitness rooms. Would definitely stay again. Unit was clean and location is right next to the beach.

Good time

It was a good time place was great and very nice a clean. One small detail and it might be my fault for miss reading. I thought beach chairs and umbrella were including. Did not realize it was an extra 325 for the week if we wanted to rent them. It might have been a mistake on my part just might want to make that more clear in the description. Otherwise it was great and everyone was very nice.

An amazing honeymoon!

We had an amazing time at this location for our honeymoon! The condo was clean, seemed newly renovated and was gorgeous! The view from the balcony could have been better but was accurately represented on line so not a surprise... the only downside was that the Jacuzzi tub (a big selling point for me!) Didn't work... I was especially disappointed that the response I received simply was that yep... it doesn't work and it won't be fixed during your stay... did it ruin my stay? No! But I would have liked a better explanation for the seeming lack of effort to fix a promised amenity...

Great condo

Our condo was just as listed. I thought it would be more on the beach but we could see the ocean from our balcony. That was fine. The resort was great and felt very secure. The pool was huge and had various depth levels which was great for our 2 children. Overall great condo and would return in future if go back to Destin!

Clean property and great location

Property was very clean and well kept. It was very spacious for a two bedroom. We were In town for a wedding but needed to bring our nanny and toddler. The nanny was in a good location to go to target or Walmart when needed.

Moms Birthday Trip

Took my mom here for her birthday. It was her first time to Destin so the expectation was high. The condo was very nice, clean, A/C worked great, pool was nice and is an easy walk to the beach. The only thing is, the condo is in the airport landing/takeoff pattern so it could get a little noisy if you were sitting on the balcony. But nothing unbearable. We enjoyed ourselves and mom was super happy. I would stay here again.

Highly recommended condo

A beautiful and very clean condo that was convenient to everything we needed. Great gulf views. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great getaway! Wish we had better weather this week, but it was a good trip despite the rain. Our only suggestion would be to provide more detailed check-in information such as a map that shows where exactly to enter the resort (since google maps takes you to the side of the condo with no access and we were first time visitors to Destin), the guard gate, and instructions to the parking garage. Also mark which outdoor parking lots are useable. The map should also show the gates you can access with the fob to enter different areas, including using the large pool and beach access. It took us a while to figure out these things but, overall, it was great and we plan to return.
