The coffee pot was broken, but replaced same day. The shower head on the master tub was broken; after 2 service calls, had a workaround while a part was ordered. Ice maker broke on July 3rd; reported it same day but nobody came to look at it before we left on July 5th.The condo was very spacious and a/c worked great! Beds were comfortable, well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Beautiful view from the balcony. The owner may want to add more chairs on the balcony since the condo accommodates up to 12 people, but only 3 chairs on the balcony.

Beautiful location but issues with property itself

Pros : Very nice location, beach front, safe and secure and smaller building, not very crowded. Lay out of the condo is good with good size bedrooms and bathrooms. Cons - multiple issues with appliances not working as they should during our stay When I go to vacation, I dont want to to be calling property owners and rental agencies to fix things. Things should work as advertised/listed and it was the exact opposite what happened- not working dishwasher, DVD player, toilet making funny noises. You do not want to be washing dishes at home and on your vacation! I made calls to property rental agency atleast 3-4 times during my stay as if I was trying to get my own house fixed! I dont want to be doing that when I am renting an expensive condo. Maintenance did respond within 24 hours ; However, there was no acknowledgement of annoyance or proactive management of property owners to compensate for a frustrating stay which should have been a stress free vacation on the beach.

Very poorly equipped and managed

We have stayed in this building many times before, always renting from individual owners. It was always wonderful. Now this management company has taken over and it's a whole different experience. We had problems beginning as we drove in to the property. The management company called to tell us the A/C was not working properly but a repairman was on the way. Ok...the repairman arrived and asked us what was wrong. We told him we had just gotten there and didn't know anything about it. He checked it out and said there was nothing wrong with it. Great. The next morning there was water all over the utility room closet where the unit is and no air blowing out of the vents. This is Easter Sunday. The repairman comes back out after 4 hours waiting on him and again says no problem. All week, sometimes it blew and sometimes it didn't. We quit calling because it was cool outside but it was very humid in the condo.The unit is very poorly equipped. There were two black wash cloths that were for makeup removal and that was it in the whole place. We asked for more three separate times. Each time they said they would bring some, we never got any. The kitchen has two small serving or mixing bowls, no decent knives and the dishes and silverware are all mismatched. There were 2 dish cloths and 2 dish rags. A family of 10 goes through a stock like that pretty quickly. We had to wash towels all week also because there are only two in each bathroom. The bed in the master bedroom is so tall, it needs step stools to get in...but there's not one! My husband and I climbed and rolled to get in and out, it's seriously too tall for comfort. No beach service came with the unit, something I missed in the description. I guess because it was so out of character for the building. We rented chairs which is an additional expense. The code for the lobby where the elevators are didn't work after the second day so it was just unlocked all week. The code for the beach gate had to be entered sometimes up to ten times before it would eventually open. The wifi code was copied wrong in the email we received and it was the day after we arrived before someone called us about it. Fortunately, we found it on the router and didn't have to depend on them. Finally the washer broke Friday night around 7 and they didn't call us back till Saturday right before we left. They were sending someone right over lol. We miss the old care and pride of place.

Beautiful and spacious

Unit was large and well equipped with easy beach access. Some wear noted to unit as expected for age. Loved the balcony and close proximity shops and restaurants!

Would never stay there again.

First of all, the contract wasn’t honored. When you sign something, you can’t just change it and expect people to be ok with that without even telling them. One toilet you had to add water to get it to flush properly. The beds sucked. Some of the balcony furniture was broken. There was no gate opener when we got there and when told about it, we never got one. The guy above us was rude and completely ruined family vacation. Would never stay there again.

most horrible week we have ever had in 30 years of coming to Destin

when we first arrived, the place is very big and nice. men were there working on the a/c and said that it was warmer than they liked. someone was working on it. at this time it was 76. we moved all our stuff in as we had driven 13 hours from arkansas to stay here. the most money we have ever paid on a condo. my daughter just finished her chemo and radiation as she has breast cancer. i'm a type one diabetic on a pump and bad asthma and we had two year old babies with us. anyway another man showed up couple hours later and said it would be monday before they could see if they get the part. talked with elizabeth and she said she would send over fans to help til monday, HA HA, sent one fan. if we wanted to go purchase more at walmart, they would reimburse us. which we did as it took 5 more fans to even begin to be tolerable. temp kept rising up to 81 degrees inside. the freezer was not working properly and our $500 worth of groceries that we purchased saturday, took forever to freeze, some popsicles not until 4 days later. it was miserable at nighttime. lady never called me on monday morning, so around 9:20 i called her and she said let me check and the part can not be there for 4-5 days after a comedy of errors, id gladly explain this to comeone but i just walked in to my door at home and dont want to waste my time trying to type all this. will never use this again and we plan to get with the florida attorney general office to explain this issue. friday night late, finally after much on our end, they agreen to give us a little money back and for the fans. did not pay for the new coffee pot we bought as there was not one and the amount of issues that everyone had to keep working on just to get it tolerable. temps never got below 77 and that was with two portable window ac which we had to vent out the sliding door from the den and we could not even use that to go outside. it was just unreal. so worst experience we had ever ever ever and sacrificed much to get to come here, but NEVER again. ao much more to this story but dont want to waste my time explaining it cause no one will pay attention anyway

Run Down - Read the reviews..

If your wanting a decent sleep while on vacation take note.. The beds in this condo are worn out and are shaped more like a bowl than a bed. The headboard is just about ready to fall off of the bed in the guest suite. The carpets in the rooms are also in bad shape and is apparent just by looking. The unit was plenty big and offered good access to the beach. For the price I was disappointed in the overall shape of the condo. I sent a message expressing my concerns to Destin Getaways with no response. We won’t be returning, nor would I recommend.

A fantastic week for our family-9 of us ranging from 18-77

We have been to Destin probably 10-12 times over 20 years and this was probably our best experience ever. Location-condo-facility-nearly everything was super. We will check out this property for our next Destin stay. The ONLY things that need attention are a replacement kitchen faucet and the sliding door from the living room to the deck needs some attention. We’re anxious to visit again.

Incredible first trip to Destin, Florida!

LOCATION: This condo is situated just 2-3 buildings down from Henderson Park and 2-3 buildings away from the public beach access on the other side. This allowed our beach area to remain private and quiet despite much larger beach crowds further down the beach. In addition, the condo is within walking distance to a ton of shops and restaurants, including Camille's at Crystal Beach, the Beach Walk Cafe at Henderson Park, and 790 on the Gulf (TIP – if going over the summer, make reservations in advance). This was incredibly important given how crazy the traffic was in July. We were also only a 10-15 minute walk down the beach to Captain Jambo's Parasailing at Tarpon Beach Access. We braved traffic to make several trips out to explore the area (including a Crab Island pontoon adventure which I highlight recommend), and I have to say that this condo area was by far the NICEST and QUIETEST of everything we saw. I was so glad that I didn’t book a place further east towards Sandestin because it was so incredibly overcrowded. THE CONDO: The condo setup for unit 103 was perfect for us. We had two families for a total of 8 people, and everyone had their own beds, bathroom space, and plenty of seating and dishware. This could have easily accommodated 2-4 more kids willing to share rooms or beds without feeling over- crowded. In addition, the condo was on the first floor in the center of the building. This made access from the elevator and stairs very easy and kept our balcony more private than the condos closer to the pool area. I was also happy to not have to climb to the top floor every day. Lastly, the condo had plenty of parking space for 2 cars AND included a dedicated storage unit at ground level for beach supplies. We were able to take advantage of a floating boat and several floating devices that were included and used the storage daily to keep our beach chairs (which we purchased and left there for the next group – enjoy!) without having to lug them upstairs or carry sand into the condo. I did a ton of research when I booked this place and I’m happy to say that it paid off! Everything worked out perfectly. I would highlight recommend this unit to anyone looking to explore Destin and plan to go back again. BTW: I saw a few comments about the appliances, beds, and cleanliness. I have to say, the condo was clean and well-kept for our stay. For the little bit of food preparation that we had, the

Nice location but …

We enjoyed our stay but had several issues that took away from the experience: (1) Were told right before we checked in that oven was not working and part would be in Tuesday but wasn’t installed until Thursday. (2). Was advertised when we booked that condo came with one beach set-up but we were told repeatedly by beach service that they had no record of it and it had happened before with this unit. (3) sliding glass door in living area was almost impossible to slide open and closed, they sent maintenance and they did an adjustment which helped a little but were told new rollers were on order (4). The filter to the a/c unit was incredibly filthy and when maintenance came to look they were incredulous because it was supposed to have been changed but obviously had not. I will say the location and view were wonderful and we were comped for the inconveniences but will not stay there again.

Condo on the beach at Dunes of Crystal Beach

Great location! Nice size condo and great layout. Appreciated the beach supplies in the storage unit. We opted to have the umbrella and chair service daily, which was a great time saver! Negatives...mattresses desperately need updating, dryer needs to be fixed, and the glass sliding door was very hard to open and close and would not lock.

Nice but needs work

Beach set up not included. Very disappointing. We have been staying in area for 11 years and first time no beach set up included. Chair guy said this condo only one that does not offer set up for guests. Much larger than it looks in pictures. Kitchen is fully stocked but need more silverware if you have a group. There are some things that need to be fixed or updated: The glass door to patio is horrendous to open Front bedroom head board is falling down Brown chair in living room is stained and gross Mattresses were hard and uncomfortable. Would only stay here again if could not find anything else.

The location is great but the place needs some things fixed

The fridge was messed up and the owner knew it and had ordered one but no one told us until we figured it out which was 3 days into our trip. The condo is not very clean. The beds are very hard and we’re about to fall and had to fix them. But it was a great location on the beach.

Family Vacay

Our family vacations in Destin annually and has stayed in several beach front properties but this one is a disappointment. There is mold in the bathroom, the beds are uncomfortable, there is papers/dirt under the beds, dirt on the ceiling fans. The kitchen has several pots but few dishes to serve in and no storage containers except a 1 gallon ice cream container. This 4 bedroom condo can sleep 12 people but you will need to bring your own coffee cup because there are only 6. The blender leaks too. One of our children made a mess so we needed to change the sheets but the spare sheets were dirty. I do not recommend staying in this unit.
