Our stay was great. Very peaceful and clean. Lots of places to eat. Great pool and great beach. Definitely worth the money👍👍

Beautiful Resort

This property was amazing, great rooms, Pool area was our fav! We didn't see much staff, as we were on the go a lot, but really enjoyed out stay. Would def. come back!

FIVE STARS!!

Definitely one of the best properties I’ve stayed at and will return to in the future. I just wish early check in was available. Other than that, everything was AMAZING! And super clean, which was my biggest concern

Perfect location

This is the 2nd unit we have stayed in at the Palms and so far this has been our favorite spot. The 2 large bedrooms are perfect when traveling with twin toddlers that need their own room but since we travel with blow up beds we need the floor space more than the bed. Pool and splash pad were a HUGE hit this time with the kids and we will definitely be back!

Best family friendly resort

I was looking for a condo that had a huge pool for my 3 little ones to enjoy and this place did not disappoint! The condo was very clean and updated. We love that there was an onsite coffees shop/bistro and the shuttle made it convenient to go to the beach. Devin made sure everything was set for our stay and the check in/check out process was seemless. I also loved this resort has a light to the main road making it easy to get in and out of with all the summer traffic! I would definitely recommend as this is family friendly!

Exactly what we needed

For our few days in Destin, this condo was perfect! The rooms were spacious and the common area with the kitchen was perfect. The carpets had a few stains that I wasn’t thrilled about but overall the facility was clean. The internet was not the greatest as we did have some issues with the tv but of course, the tv wasn’t why we were there. Overall, the facility was perfect what we needed! The grounds and the pool area was WONDERFUL!!!!! Worth the stay!

Spring break

The condo was the perfect size for the 6 of us. The beach was just a 5 minute walk down the street, there was a shuttle but we walked instead. The pools were exactly what we needed on the days the beach had no swimming flags up. I have no complaints!

A Pleasant Vacation

Our stay at the Palms was very pleasant. The suite was clean and spacious. The pool is great and was one of the highlights of our trip. The location is good with two different beaches a short 5 min drive away. The staff was very professional. We had some issues with some doors and the microwave but property management quickly resolved them. I was very pleased with their communication. The whole family is looking forward to staying there again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This is our 3rd time booking with RealJoy and we have never been disappointed with our stay. My girls love Palms of Destin, especially the lagoon pool.

Very clean and close to the beach

The place was very clean and close to the beach. The only thing we thought was a little inconvenient was that only 1 trash bag was provided, but we had an infant with us so we had lots of diapers and food trash. We couldn’t bring extras of anything since we flew in. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay. The bistro downstairs was also really good!

Friendly Staff and great value for the room!

The property was amazing! The space was so clean and perfect for 4 adults. We loved the lagoon pool and the Good Times Bar on the property. The check-in process was so simple and having the complimentary bellhop bring our things to our room was a life saver! Parking is a bit far from the room so plan on using the carts to haul everything up. Overall we had a wonderful time!

Great for baseball tournament

We stayed here for our son's baseball tournament that was just across the street. It was very convenient for that and we felt comfortable leaving our teenage daughter and her friend to hang out in the condo or at the pool while we were at games. The pool was great. The poolside restaurant was decent and definitely convenient. Parts (hallways, stairs, etc.) of the complex were not the cleanest. The actual unit was a nice set-up for the 5 of us. The king bed in the "master" bedroom was quite hard, but tolerable. The king bed in the other bedroom was much better. The sink in the "master" bath was VERY clogged. We even bought some drain-o, but it wouldn't touch it. Parking is VERY far from this unit. My husband dropped us off at the door most of the time when we had a lot to carry. Overall, it was a good stay.

My Stay

Resort was very nice. There were only a fews issues. I had a few questions and did have difficulty communicating with RealJoy. One of which was black mold in the grooves of the track for shower door. Another no idea as to how to dispose of trash (finally found someone at front desk of Resort) and finally didn’t know if we were expected to wash towels and wash cloths so assume that would be something better done by professional staff since other guests would be using.

Excellent hotel alternative

The only compliant was sofa was very uncomfortable. Everything other than that was so well thought out. Really appreciated the kitchen.

Right in the heart of Destin, the location was great! The cleanliness of the property was very questionable. Carpet needs to be cleaned or replaced. Shower in master bedroom reeked of urine. I had to purchase disinfectant spray to clean it before using it. Rugs in master bathroom appeared to be stained with blood. Used towel on floor instead. Extra pillows in both closets had stains on them. We had no confidence in the cleanliness of the property. The unit had a nice layout but the pullout sofa was very uncomfortable.

Not as nice as we thought it would be

We were here for Labor Day holiday & to escape Hurricane Dorian. Wish you allowed pictures! The shower was disgusting! Mold all over! I wore flip flops to shower the entire Labor Day Holiday! And, yes, I contacted the property manager who blamed it on maintenance! Seriously! Why not just say “sorry, we will take care of it”??? The cable service on all the Tv’s did not work...yes, I reported it. They told me to reset system...of course we did that at the start of our visit. It never worked during the entire visit....we wanted to watch College Football & Hurricane coverage...that’s all. No one came out to fix it. On a positive note, despite the property being totally booked the condo was quiet. And, the unit was nicely decorated. This unit is only good for 4 people. The sofa sleeper was AWFUL! We had to spend $60 to purchase a blow-up mattress for our daughter to sleep on. The couch cushions sank down & it smelled like mold. Definitely time for them to purchase a new couch!!! I did NOT like the location. Lots of construction on roads. We were told we could just walk to the beach....NO WAY! You would risk your life walking around that area....traffic is CRAZY & there are a lot of sketchy people walking around. Beach is ONLY accessible with your own vehicle or the onsite shuttle(you are limited to 2 beaches with it & they drop you at a restaurant not the actual beach). Pool is very nice. The security guys at the gate were very nice & very helpful as we had issues with our codes. On a side note... we asked about canceling our visit as we live in south central Florida & did not want to drive through the hurricane on way home. There is a no cancellation policy. Managers told us to buy insurance....we did but insurance has LOTS of FINE PRINT! So I wasted $$ on buying the policy. Would I book this property again....absolutely NOT. For the same price I could have booked a place on the beach. This place would be good if you are attending a business event/conference. It is not what I would consider a vacation property. There are no amenities except pool. And you really need your own vehicle to get around the area. There is a restaurant & bar on site but it was not family friendly. Only booked this place because a family member knew someone with rental company. “Never mix religion, politics, or business with family or friends.”
