BOOK THE HOUSE!

We treated our high school grads to a trip to Destin, and this beach house was absolutely perfect! The moment we walked in, we were blown away—the space was warm, beautifully decorated, and incredibly inviting. Honestly, it was so comfortable that we almost didn’t want to leave to explore!But when we did, the beach was just steps away—so close that we could easily walk back and forth throughout the day. Morning coffee on the balcony or afternoons in the gorgeous pool in the back yard relaxing—it was everything we hoped for and more. And the customer service was stellar! If you’re even thinking about booking, do it. You won’t regret it.

100% Beachy Vibes

A great place to stay right near the beach. Newly renovated, beautiful inside with a coastal aesthetic and vibe. The thought and detail is fantastic with a very well equipped kitchen, as well as equipment for the beach. Everything has been thought through. The hosts were very communicative and make a great effort to look after you. Highly recommend!

Fun beach house

We really enjoyed bringing the family to Destin. The house was a short walk to the beach, and the two chairs and umbrella reserved there made it easy to always have a spot. The backyard heated pool was a great place to relax before dinner. Good location a short drive to shopping and dining. The house was clean and everything in good shape, and property management was very easy to communicate with before check in and while on site. Highly recommended!

Not what we expected

Review of “Off the Clock”Not What I ExpectedAfter a stressful period that landed me in the hospital in late December, it was recommended I take some time off. I decided to book two weeks at “Off the Clock” through VRBO, bringing along my wife and son for what we hoped would be a relaxing getaway. Unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations in several ways.First ImpressionsThe property was difficult to recognize upon arrival because it looked noticeably different from the photos on VRBO. For instance, the photos depicted a white privacy fence separating the property from the neighboring yard. In reality, no such fence exists, and the neighbors parked right up to the edge of the property, creating a less secluded feel.Smoke Alarms: The Biggest ChallengeOur first evening was far from peaceful. My wife made toast, and the overly sensitive fire alarm system was triggered, setting off multiple alarms and a loud, repetitive voice declaring, “Fire!” This required us to open all three doors to create enough airflow to stop the alarms—a routine we would repeat many times during our stay.The sensitivity of the alarms rendered the gas stove nearly unusable. Even with the downdraft system (as instructed by the owner), cooking anything, from frying fish to baking pizza, would set off the alarms. Rain made grilling outside impossible, and when the grill was eventually tested, it didn’t work-Many issues they say they are fixing we will see

Beautiful Home

This house is perfectly decorated, well stocked for all needs! We enjoyed sitting on the porch and using all the amenities in the back yard. Very close to the beach and equipped with everything you need to enjoy the day by the water.

True to the name

Off the Clock was an amazing property and experience for our family of five. The house felt like home. Very well laid out and the details really made that feeling possible. Extremely clean, very spacious, the decor was thoughtful and comfortable. The kitchen was especially nice. It’s not easy to feed 3 hungry kiddos for multiple meals, but the open kitchen and breakfast bar was the perfect platform for many meals and memories with our kids before they ran back to jump in the pool. We sat down for a few family meals at the beautiful kitchen table as well. The proximity and location on the beach was perfect. The short walk was easy and a fun little adventure for the us and the kids to explore and talk, while also allowing them to help pull the wagon and cooler that was provided (much appreciated!) ;) Truly an amazing stay for us, best property we’ve visited in our few years of starting to travel with our little fam. We’ll definitely return! Thank you to the Cohen’s for sharing your house with us.

Awesome House

Love this house! Its beautifully decorated. Cozy and well stocked inside and out! Very short walk to the beach and the pool was so relaxing. The lights and fire table out back were the perfect end to a fabulous day at the beach!! We will definitely be renting again!

Changed my opinion of florida

76 stingray was the nicest, cleanest, most “feel like I’m home” rental I’ve ever stayed in. Location was prime. Amenities were spot on. And the host was on top of their property and communicating with me. Can’t say enough good about it all

“Off the Clock” extravagance!

The property was even nicer in person than it looked in the listing photos. The property was immaculate when we arrived and the location couldn’t be beat! There are so shops, restaurants and grocery stores within a short drive. Not to mention the beautiful sandy beach was less than a 10 minute walk away. The property manager, Louise, was incredibly easy to communicate with and very attentive to any and all needs. No detail was missed with this property and we can’t wait to come back! PS: there is a private pool and personal oasis in the backyard!! Robert J

Relaxing “Destin”ation

Loved our stay in beautiful Destin this spring. This is our 3rd year in a row visiting the Crystal Beach area. This home is charming, exceptionally clean and has everything you could think of to make your stay a dream. We loved the heated pool, spacious back yard and how near you are to the white sandy beach. We will definitely look to stay at “Off the Clock” again next year. Till then.

Fall Break

Everything about the stay was flawless. The instructions and communication prior to arrival were complete and clear. The property was beautiful, clean, kitchen was better equipped than most homes. The location is just a few minute walk to beach. The reserved umbrella and chairs on beach were perfect. Also the wagon and beach chairs provided by owner were nice too. The backyard was great pool, and fire pit made for nice evenings. We will definitely be back.

Family Getaway

We absolutely loved this house! The property manager was wonderful and responded quickly with any questions that we had. The house is beautiful and well-outfitted and it was the perfect size for the six of us. We loved having our own pool and the backyard had a very fun atmosphere, and we also enjoyed just being a block away from the beach! We used the reserved beach chairs every day we were there. We will definitely stay there again when we are back in the area.

Home Away from Home

Can’t say enough about “Off the Clock”. Fantastic place to unwind and relax. My family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our stay there over the 4th of July week. The home was ideal to entertain and host dinners for extended family who were also in from out of town. Pristine place and completely turn-key. There’s nothing the host hasn’t thought of to ensure an excellent experience for anyone who stays there. They truly care about their guests. The backyard and pool was beautiful, and 1 block easy access to a beautiful beach and crystal clear waters with chair and umbrella service built in was so convenient. There’s even food and drink service right on the beach from the local hotel. Truly was a home away from home, and we would reserve again in a heartbeat. Thank you again to our hosts for making our trip one to remember.

Wonderful, no PERFECT, vacation home.

So many reasons that made our experience amazing: 1) the hosts are responsive, thoughtful and make sure everything is just right, 2) the house was new, clean, modern luxuries, outdoor heaven, absolutely everything we needed and 3) the location is literally a 1/2 block from gorgeous Crystal Beach access. Summer vacation

Amazing stay! Beautiful home close to the beach and very close to some good restaurants. All the things you will need for your vacation is already here. Beach wagon and chairs provided , made things very nice. Very clean home and super easy check in-out process. Will definitely recommend this place to anyone going to Destin!!!

Perfect Destin House with Great Location

We absolutely loved our stay! The house was beachy and modern with tasteful decor. It is adorable. We greatly appreciated the relaxing covered porches, large televisions, fluffy towels, and the spacious master bath. The driftwood floors were gorgeous, clean, and easy to swiffer for sand. We really enjoyed night swims in the heated saltwater pool complete with string lights and firepit warmth. And, to top it all off, we loved the proximity to the beach and inlcuded beach wagon and chair/umbrella set-up. We will definitely return!

Beautiful Destin-ation

This was our second time in Destin and what a beautiful home to stay this year. We wanted a place with more room and close to the beach with a pool and "off the clock" did not disappoint. It felt like we were at a hotel with the linens and towels and those beds were beyond comfy! The kids loved the heated pool and I loved the back yard. We cooked out and went for night swims often, and the firepit made a great place to sit and warm up at night. The place had it all, location, amenities, superb hosts (thank you for the welcome basket by the way!) and great layout of all the rooms. We had a perfect week and wanted to thank you for such a lovely home for us to stay in.

Perfect, perfect, perfect!

The house was exactly as pictured in the listing but even better in person. Very clean, FULLY stocked kitchen and cute backyard. Location was great! Very short walk to the beach (so short that our kids didn't even complain :)) This was our first time back to Destin in four years and this house exceeded our expectations. The weather was cooler than we were hoping for, but the heated pool made up for it. Highly recommend this rental. Owners have done a great job with the house and all it has to offer. Huge thank you to the property manager, Louise, as well for making sure we had everything we needed!
