This place is all about location. We love staying at Crystal Sands yearly! We’ve never stayed in this unit and although it was accurate on photos except for a few changes like the tv being updated and no lounge chair out on the patio. I will say we were disappointed in the bed, it wasn’t comfortable. The unit itself had a mildew/mold smell and that was the biggest let down. Usually the first thing you want to smell walking into your condo is fresh clean air especially being on the beach. It smelled awful and was disappointing. The cleanliness wasn’t the worst we’ve stayed in, but a good deep cleaning is definitely needed. The ottoman in the living room needs replaced, it’s peeling. The unit is outdated as far as decor goes. Other than those things, we had a wonderful vacation and always love staying at Crystal Sands especially on the bottom floor! I always love the 2 chairs and umbrella beach service included and it was nice they had shampoo conditioner soap makeup wipes etc in each bathroom! They also had a dish detergent pod and 2 laundry pods! There was also plenty of towels and rags and a ton of kitchen utensils and pans etc!

Crystal Beach

Property was perfect for us. Being on the ground floor we could walk out to the beach. We enjoyed breakfast every morning on the patio at the table. I would stay here again. Only recommend some type of lounge chair for the patio and beach equipment.

1st time in Destin

This place is great. You are on the beach. You get 2 free chairs and umbrella everyday. The condo was on the end of the building and close to the bbq grill. Potter the cat will come by and see you once in a while. She's not lost her owner knows she likes to stroll the area. She lives close by. There are a few things they need to fix. One is the screen on the screen door. The sand is so soft and I doesn't get hot. The Gulf water colors are so beautiful. Highly recommend!

This place was very dusty. All decor and door frames had looked liked they haven't been cleaned in probably a year. Dishes were out away dirty. The patio furniture is old and a chair is broken and about fell out of it

The perfect little get away!

This condo is absolutely perfect for a couple to stay or small family. It’s hard to find small condos on the beach and this did not disappoint! The management company was easy to work with and very communicative. They even called after we checked in to make sure we were all set! We will be back for sure!!

We’ve stayed at over ten condos at Crystal Sands over the years. This one was probably the most dated. We always stay first floor for the location and ocean walkout convenience for our kids. NEVER AGAIN will we stay during spring break. Crystal sands advertises as a private beach, but it is the only condo complex in the area that makes zero attempt to keep that so. I have pictures of the hundreds of college students that took over the beach in its entirety to the point I could not walk to our beach chairs without stepping on them. The music, the trash, and the crowds were appalling. For the first time ever we feared for the safety of our children walking from the condo to the beach chairs. Even after speaking with the on-site staff they were not willing to do anything. As far as the condo goes, it is dated and could use an extreme paint job. It seemed clean. The sheets left on the couch in the plastic sack were wet and had water stains on them. (I notified the property management). The ice maker never worked, and some of the kitchen utensils were either dirty or rusted. The couches were newer than the pictures which was a nice surprise. We did have ants on the kitchen counter after a heavy rain. We were told by the rental company someone would come by the next day, and they never did. We checked out the following day so did not worry about it after that. Overall, it is an okay property. The beach and the view is what we come for, but this time the beach overrun by young partying kids was a deal breaker. I’ll submit a pic of the beach full and the one next to ours if I can figure that out.

Anniversary Getaway

Perfect for our 5th year anniversary getaway. Access to the beach was wonderful, and the condo had all the amenities that we needed. Thank you for allowing us to stay. We had a wonderful time and did not want to leave.

The view is what matters

As long as the gulf is visible from the living room I can overlook the shortcomings of the unit. No holder for the toilet paper, a stuck and torn screen door. The beauty of the gulf makes the need for attention to the unit less important

Great location but unkept

The condo has an amazing view with a stone's throw from the water. The problem is some areas weren't cleaned/repaired and the furniture could be updated. When we arrived we notice that one leg of the coffee table was not attached. I found a bolt in a drawer and had to secure it myself. The table also had food stuck to it. The blue chair has seen better days. You sink right into it when you sit down. The pull out couch has stains on it and it is uncomfortable to sleep on. There is a bar in the middle that prevents you from sleeping flat. There are light bulbs out in multiple rooms. When we first arrived the place smelled of cleaning products and mildew. We drove 16 hours to get to the place from our home. I timed it almost perfectly and we arrived 30 minutes early. I thought that we were close enough to check in time that the passcode would work. That was not the case. It was set to work at exactly check in time. When we called about this the property management company had to call the cleaning company to ensure they were finished then they called me back with a new pass code 15 minutes before checking in.
