Annual Family Beach Vacation

Our third time at silver shells, first in this unit, and we loved it. Elevator opening into the unit is really cool. The resort has it all, even the gym and pickleball is clean and new. Beach, pool, and gulf are all top notch and why you come to Destin. View from the balcony is incredible. if I had to nitpick: table on balcony is shedding, sharp, rusty, and extremely wobbly with broken legs, needs to be thrown out. The unit could be stocked a little better, bathroom and kitchen stuff is really the cheapest, bare minimum options, and for a stay that is really outstanding, could be a little better for the money. -maybe some other minor updates throughout the unit but overall it’s wonderful, would highly recommend.

Nice condo

We were seldom there as we were out doing other things. I did not see anything that would be a negative of the condo. Will probably find another place next year but not because this unit was undesirable. Just looking for something a little bit more.

The property looked nice online and all wonderful reviews which is why I was so shocked when we got there. Beds were lumpy, and had dips all in the mattress. The beds were also not put together very well as they wobbled and shook at the tiniest movement. The tvs weren’t working when we arrived, the sliding glass doors didn’t not nor did they open well. The Wi-Fi was extremely slow or didn’t load at all. Water pressure was terrible in the showers and one guest room didn’t cool down very well. Having a whole week on mattresses that you might as well have slept on the floor, did not provide rest and relaxation. I wouldn’t return to this unit. I will say, the property manager was responsive but you can’t fix cheap by tinkering around.

Family of 4 - had a great time at Silver Shells St Maarten 1107. Semi-private elevator direct to the room wowed my kids!! Rooms were beautiful and view from balcony couldn’t be beat. One of best locations at Silver Shells. Highly recommend.

Great condo, great stay

This condo was very nice. Really like that the elevators take you straight to your room. Enjoyed the pool, chair service and the beach bar. It was convenient to The Back Porch, which is a beachfront restaurant nearby. Walmart was right across the street, which was great for picking up a few things. Only wish there were more restaurants within walking distance. Had to jump in a car to get to most places. Overall, it was great.

Amazing view!

Overall great trip. Very nice condo with the two masters overlooking the gulf! Absolutely beautiful area. My compass resort suggestion would be every adult could have a key. We had 3 couples and with needing to use key to leave property for a run/ walk we were always shuffling keys. Just seems like a simple fix that would've made our visit easier.

Absolutely breathtaking views and the property was gorgeous!

My family and I spent 3 nights in the St. Maarten condo at Silver Shells and we were so impressed with everything. It’s absolutely beautiful and has an amazing view. We will definitely be back! Thanks for an amazing experience! I, personally, had never been to the beach and I’m 45. What an incredible experience!

Very nice space.

Tastefully decorated. We were a party of four adults and one child and it was the perfect amount of space. Both master suites offer lovely waterfront views. The property has a fantastic pool as well. I did expect that the beach would be more private but people seemed to be able to come and go as they pleased and it was a little louder at night than I preferred. You can’t sleep with the windows open to hear the waves bc you can hear traffic and blowers than begin in the wee hours of the am. The condo is accessed via elevator that opens up directly into the unit. This made unloading and packing up easier. You can also hear the elevator moving to nearby floors from the living area.

We loved our stay at Silver Shells!! The staff were very responsive to our needs, the resort was very secure, easy access to the beach and pool and the resort location is close to everything and right next to the Back Porch! And best of all we loved the view!!
