The Condo was Great!! Clean, spacious, comfortable bed, great kitchen, the beach service was great, spectacular view. Sterling Sands 707 was Outstanding! The hosts, RealJoy, they were the best! I’ve stayed in many condos in Sterling Sands, they rank right at the top. Great Communication, friendly and quick to respond with any questions. Had a great time. Thanks so much!!

We have been staying at Sterling Sands for years and we thoroughly enjoy it every year! Great property, great location and RealJoy Vacations was awesome! They reached out the day after to check-in to make sure everything was perfect!!! The check-in and check-out processes could not have been any easier!! We would highly recommend RealJoy Vacations and Sterling Sands for your next vacation!

Good resort to stay on the beach in the heart of Destin. Some suggested improvements for the Cabinets and screen doors which were not aligned properly to work as intended. Providing more essential supplies such as more than one roll of toilet paper, trash bags, and paper towels. There were used coffee grinds in the drip coffee maker. Since we are paying a large cleaning fee, I expected the place to be clean. Vent covers were very dirty as well. I appreciated the text updates from the property manager as well as the included beach service. I enjoyed the resort as this was the third time we have stayed at Sterling Sands but the first time in this particular unit.

Beautiful warm condo

The view is stunning! Truly appreciate the clear glass railing instead of iron ones you have to look through. Also we really enjoyed the height and comfort of the patio furniture. Loved the grounds, pool and hot tub. All the other places we’ve stayed have zero landscaping, and a boring pool. Furniture and beds were very comfortable. The one and ONLY drawback, is when sleeping, the rooms are so close to Hwy 98, we had a little trouble sleeping.

Weather not so much

The beech wasn’t as beautiful as it had been in recent years; However, as we were leaving, the blue water began to emerge. The condo is small (perfect for 2) and a lovely view from the 7th floor.

Our stay was pretty relaxing. Even though we couldn’t go in the water on the beach we still found things to do around the condo and explored out. The condo was spotless, bed was comfortable, and we loved the view of the golf. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Nice view outside but ehhh on the unit

The condo view was amazing! We had to submit 3 repair requests during our stay. Maintenance came same day and fixed all things. We had 2 more requests that were a bathroom cabinet above master toilet fell on me while I was standing. I’m glad me or my child wasn’t using the bathroom. It wasn’t securely in a stud and most of the travel items, our pill reminders, and other items fell in the toilet. It hit my arm during the fall and has left a bruise. Mgmt was sincere and agreed to reimburse for items that had to be thrown away. The condo was clean but did see some blood stains on a pillow. We never had an issue getting a parking spot either. Would we stay here again? That would be no only because things fixed seemed to be put together choppy or wall cabinets not being in a stud. Oh, and the bedroom TV’s didn’t have an HDMI. They had a note saying not to connect anything to the TV’s. That’s kinda crazy being most everyone has some sort of streaming device or gaming system. The fitted sheets didn’t fit well on the bed either so we had to constantly readjust. Master mattress was so-so with dips on each side but noticed as we went to leave that the 2x4 on frame had fallen. I don’t believe this wouldn’t made a difference though.

Floors could have used some scrubbing. Condo Very dusty! Dryer located in hallway needs attention. Raised the vent to clean it noticed it was full underneath. Fire hazard for sure. Smelled musty. Very crowded! Which would have been ok , but no room on beach. Umbrellas, umbrellas and umbrellas! We had beach service included in our stay. The gentleman working with the shaved ice and managing chairs and umbrellas were very kind. In fact all staff were very nice and helpful. Never seen Anyone from “the office.” In fact the offices looked kind of deserted. Up against lots of people every day on the beach. Small space on beach for such a large complex. My husband and I went to a public beach a couple days to get away from the crowd.

Needs allot of work

We have been booking on VRBO for many years. Booking in and around Destin, FL for 22+ years 1-2 weeks each year. This unit was not what we expected. Sent a note to RealJoy vacations recommending they close the unit until everything we identified is resolved. I would not consider booking this and my wife and I will not book with RealJoy again. We thought we were booking with an individual until it came time to pay. Our mistake we will not make it again. Property is run down. A/C not working when we arrived, was fixed a day later. A/C is hard set to not go below 71. Carpet is really nasty. Kitchen is missing door handles, glass ware was plastic ware for the most part. Refrigerator and Oven were both rusted. Blinds broken in the master bedroom. Sheets didn't fit the bed. The bed swallowed you whole. Glass has not been cleaned in a very long time. Add to that the pool was down for a day and 1/2. Both elevators were up and down, one day both were down we had to walk down 7 flights of stairs. The building had a planned week of power washing the entire outside of the building, all week. We were not informed of this until we arrived. If we would have know, (which we should have been) we would have chosen another location. bad, Bad, BAD

Needs a deep cleaning and upgrade to appliances/ Great beach view!

Pros: Great location and view. You have easy acceSs to a private beach that is not crowded. Which is awesome! Close to anything you need, liquor store!! Walmart is less than 5 min. Chick fil a is very close too. Lots of parking spot no need to worry about not finding where to park. Cons: Unit could use a good deep cleaning. A/C vents were full of dust. Regrigerator door was dirty. Bed sheets had stains. There was a smell as if it had been closed for several days. Master shower does not have much water pressure from shower head. Bed is not very confortable as it is way too wiggly. Closet door from master bedroom does not work. Coffee maker does not work. Appliances should be upgraded asap, TVs are not smart, refrigerator is old and bed matters is old too.

Great for a quick beach trip

Nice condo complex, very well maintained, clean. Excellent beach. If you’re looking for a secluded private spot, this isn’t it. However, the sand and ocean is quite beautiful.

We have stayed in several units at Sterling Sands over the years. The property is somewhat dated but more than adequate for a elderly couple that still enjoys the beach. We enjoy breakfast on the balcony with a beautiful view of the Emerald Coast. Then a Beach walk followed by a dip in the pool prior to lunch and hanging out on the beach after lunch with a few cocktails. We found unit 707 as advertised.

Just ok

Tub in master bath didn’t drain. Lamp was broken, vent was off outside which caused a very loud wind noise, no front availability for beach, 1 elevator broken so only 1 slow elevator.
