Great unit, busy week!

This unit is updated and great. I highly recommend it!. Unfortunately Fourth of July week has gotten really busy and so much traffic we hope to find another week to come.

Not our best trip

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: check in was changed to 4pm. As I recall, it had always been 3pm. We arrived at 530pm and our condo was not ready and were not allowed in. I went by the unit and no one was there. I went back to check in. They could not get in touch with the maintenance. I suggested they give me a key to let me see if it was clean. They refused. After about 10 minutes, they were able to contact maintenance and we were given a key. There is no longer the ability to swap out towels. We were allotted one dish towel for the week. We had to buy our own toilet paper, etc. I have been staying at Silver Dunes since I was 17. I am now 59. It is not what it used to be. This year and the last year, large parties of 30 or more have taken over the place making the swimming pool unusable in the evening. On the positive, George is still great.

A Great Week on the Beach

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We took our daughter and two granddaughters to Silver Dunes for the week. The two granddaughters were 4th generation Silver Dunes Guests. The unit was great, the staff were helpful and George on the beach was accommodating as always. The water was very clear until our last day when a storm blew in some weeds. All and all it was a great trip, and the military discount was most appreciated.

So easy to get to the beach and pool.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I needed to change the dates of our stay. I was told in the spring this would not be a problem. When I called in August to change I was told they would get back to me. I have called multiple times and management has not returned my calls.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit was ok. The ac went out on us and had to contact the front desk. They sent someone to look at it but it was not fixed. I then had to contact the after hours service desk, who might I add was extremely unprofessional and rude at his job. The issue was resolved but took the entire day to resolve.

Destin vacay

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our condo was very clean, furniture was comfortable. The beach was perfect and wasn’t crowded. You can’t beat the beautiful emerald waters and soft, cool sand. My first complaint is management had charged an extra day without my permission. After sending an email asking how much an extra night would be they responded with a price and went ahead and took money without my confirmation. Secondly, to be such a family oriented place I was surprised to be woken up late one night to a group of loud, drunk men right outside our bedroom window. Security was supposed to be on duty til 3 am, this happened 20 minutes til and nobody ever answered when I called to have the problem resolved. For only having one month to find a place when planning this vacation our stay was nice.
