Has potential
The location had potential — we really enjoyed the canal access and the pool, and appreciated the basic necessities provided. However, several issues made the stay less enjoyable. There was loud construction on each side of us with banging, pounding, and saws running all day every day and was not relaxing at all when we were outside. We also found large dead rats in the front yard, which as addressed immediately and one of the bedrooms had a strong, unpleasant odor — like something may have died in the wall. Cleanliness was an issue; the home was not very clean upon arrival, and I’d recommend hiring new housekeepers.Another surprise: we weren’t informed about the strict HOA rules until the day of arrival, which added extra stress and restrictions to our stay. Also, it’s a good thing we brought our own toilet paper and paper towels — there wasn’t much provided.With better communication, improved cleanliness, and more transparency about the neighborhood, this could be a great rental. We had lots of room for all of us which was a plus. For the price we paid it we shouldn’t have had the inconveniences.
