Celebrating 50 years of marriage

Overall, we had a great stay at this rental. The price was right and it had the correct mix of bedrooms for our family.We enjoyed the time in Destin and really felt at home celebrating my parents 50th Anniversary!

Great Family Vacation!

I stayed with my family for a week! We loved it! There was lots of space, we loved having the pool (spent more time at the pool than at the beach), and were super close to the beach as well! Highly recommend staying here! It’s even better than the pictures!

Hot tub inadequate

Property is nice and private. Hot tub didn't work all week despite several repair attempts and at best did not heat to normal hot tub temperature.

Absolutely stellar!

Where do I start? This place is amazing. We were a group of 14 middle-aged best girlfriends and we all felt like we had the best bed/room in the house. This house is 3 floors and the extra refrigerator on the ground floor was PERFECT for our backyard/pool beverages. The walk to the beach takes only a couple minutes which makes it so easy to go back and forth! Hope to stay here again!!

Great Space - Not Great Property Manager

Overall, the place itself was clean, huge, and perfect for my group of 20. The only thing that I was not satisfied with was the communication from the property manager. She let in a chef that I did not authorize her to let into our home, and had an extremely aggressive attitude with me when I did not ask her to do anything in addition to giving me the code when checking in. It was very unprofessional as well as not very secure to just let someone in without talking to me first.

All Decked Out not so Decked out

Family before trashed the place. Trash was in the yard, closet doors broken, patio chairs broken, floors were dirty, vents had mold on them, and third floor patio white chairs were black. There was broken glass pieces in dishes. The pool was not clean and plugged with water balloons. Descriptions on VRBO were misleading and numbers do not all match. Furthermore, prices don't match signs posted in house.

Perfect home for our entire family get-away!

Short walk to the beach was perfect, we used the "beach wagon" to haul our things. There was a golf cart available to rent, but found we didn't need it. Property manager was very accommodating and came and fixed a minor problem with a light as soon as we called. We had all the room we needed, and the POOL was fabulous! Even on the rainy days, the kids spent their time jumping and playing in it. There we a LOT of toys for the beach and the pool. The only downside we found was that it was not stocked with the basics like other VRBO's we have rented. We had to purchase everything from a dust pan, light bulbs, toilet paper, dish soap to the staples we are used to being there like coffee and filters, salt & pepper. The manager said it is against Florida law to leave things like that. I can see food items I guess, but the basics ...???? Also, the hammocks were dirty and we didn't use because of that. All in all, we'd rent it again in a heartbeat. Just know there will be that cost of supplies going in. The home is lovely, and decorated well.

This was….fine. The house was mostlyclean but there were a number of maintenance/management issues that felt like death by 1000 paper cuts. -The door to the back patio (and pool) didn’t lock. We had 10 small children in a home with a door leading to a pool that didn’t lock and it took over 48 hours for them to fix it. -A pipe under the kitchen sink was leaking, forcing us to keep a bowl under it and empty it frequently until they got around to fixing it.-They provided 11 beach towels for a home that slept 20. After 2 days of swimming and not having enough towels to dry the guests, they finally delivered some towels with Walmart tags on them. -There were 6 bath towels provided for 20 people. -The pool toys closet was full of moldy pool toys and water toys. -One of the bathrooms had a significant amount of black mold on the shower curtain.-The air hockey table needed the legs to be tightened. We had to ask the kids not to play with it for fear they would break it. -There were several broken dresser drawers.-3 random screws were found on the ground in the pool area.-The living room coffee table was so rickety we moved it out of the main living space for fear of a child breaking it.-The fridge was far too small for a house that holds 20 people.I’ve never spent so much time speaking to management about issues when staying at a VRBO. NUMEROUS calls and messages were exchanged over the first 3 days we were there. It was not how I wanted to spend my vacation.

Great house!

The house was perfect for the 18 people we had staying there. The manager was great to work with. Absolutely no complaints! We did have to buy bath cloths because there was only 4 bath cloths in the whole house but that was no big deal.

Great place!

Great place to stay! Owner was very responsive. Short walk to the beach. Pool was a lot smaller than what we expected but otherwise we had fun! Patio was a great addition to the home.

Not so decked out

While we had a blast and the location and house is amazing. The house lacked some basic amenities. There was no beach towels, extra rolls of toilet paper or any basic kitchen supplies such as salt, pepper or cooking oil. Would definitely book again but would be nice to know beforehand.

Perfect multi family getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at “Decked Out”. There was a ton of room with plenty of beds for our three families (5 adults and four kids). The pool and outdoor space was perfect when we got home from the beach each day. The older couple of our group stayed downstairs and liked that they could make their coffee early without disturbing us. There was plenty of kitchen equipment and tons of beach toys- no need to bring pool or beach toys (a large collection which even included beach chairs, one small boogie board, a beach wagon, & two umbrellas (although both were slightly broken) They even had four beach bikes and a ping pong table which we enjoyed using (the table needs a screw reworked underneath to sturdy it more). The downstairs fan remote didn’t work even though we tried a new battery but the fan still works. They had some games and the decor was very nice. We used the washer/dryer daily without any issues. Our only complaint was that the floor was sandy right from the start and we had to sweep (but being at the beach this may be near impossible to avoid). Our feet would turn black real quick so I just wore flip flops indoors the whole time. We were also told they had staffing issues due to the pandemic so it may have been the best they could do for the time being. Overall, we loved the home and experience. Many memories were made here. Thank you!

Fun Family Week

Great Property, pool was perfect for the kids when they weren't at the beach. Super location, easy walk to the beach. The beach toys, chairs, and bikes were an added bonus. Property had everything we needed. Maybe check the cleaning staff. The floors were sandy and I assume several bunk beds on the main floor were not washed from the previous week's group. The bunk beds had sand in them as well. We washed the bedding and had great week. We'd definitely stay here again!!!!

Property and VRBO management issues.

Communication with VRBO prior to vacation was very slow and sometimes no response. Had requested Rental of Golf Cart months prior to date of vacation, but no reply from VRBO. Ended up paying double for Golf cart rental which wasn't fair. Property floors were very dirty. Dishwasher broken, stained linens, broken bed spring, broken toilet. Pool spa jets didn't work.

Perfect Vacation

We did our annual family vacation in Destin and this definitely tops the list. Our group had no issues with the house despite others experiences. I don’t remember having to contact the property manager Ms. Moody for any issues. We rented the golf cart last minute and she worked with us to ensure all the documents were completed without difficulty. Someone came by to repair the washer/dryer but it worked fine for us. We did several loads of laundry while there. We were given the code to check in when we got there and that went seamless. We were sure to read all the instructions for the use of the house which are clearly posted in the kitchen. Everything we needed was there from pots and pans to the bicycles that everyone enjoyed. Location is very close to the beach and when not at the beach we made good use of the private pool. The kids loved the pool and this is something that’s a must for all future rentals. We rented the golf cart since I had my mom and mother in law with me and mom recently had knee replacement. There is free parking for the golf carts by the beach. There were 3 wasp nests at the house on the ground floor but my husband is handy, we just purchased some spray and took care of it but we also let Ms. Moody know. I can’t say enough about this location and Destin. We definitely will be back. Oh and Crab Island is a must. Do it. You won’t be sorry.
