This house was perfect for our senior boys trip. Eight boys and seven moms and it worked out perfectly! Basically there are two bedroom bedrooms off of the game room where the boys lived and the moms had the other half of the house with the kitchen and the family room and our own bedroom bedrooms and bathrooms. Pool was warm, hot tub was hot, and near lots of great hiking and golf and disc golf. The boys played a lot of bags. Two fridges was key. Plenty of room for parking and 10 to 20 minutes from anything you need.

The Grotto was a perfect setting for our family reunion. Clean and comfortable, we enjoyed the indoor space as well as the several games and especially the shaded swimming pool and hot tub. The back of the house is desert landscaped with a beautiful view of the mountains. Norman was quickly responsive to a minor issue and the kitchen was well equipped including a nice espresso machine for my son the barista. In summary, a great venue for a family reunion. We would happily stay here again next year.

We had a great stay with our extended family at the Grotto. It was a nice home base for exploring Joshua Tree National Park and Palm Springs. Both the kids and adults especially loved the game room. The house also has a helpful, detailed guide explaining how everything works. Norman was very quick and responsive to our questions.

A beautiful restful oasis we enjoyed with the entire family. Kids absolutely lived in the pool and hot tub. The house has everything you would need for a great vacation including a spacious property, stocked kitchen, game room entertainment, and comfortable beds. You are located outside of Palm Springs, but we had no issue with finding an Uber to take us into town. Make sure you bring a portable speaker if you want to listen to music by the pool. We didn’t have one and thought the house would. Also, keep an eye out for insects. There was a black widow (we killed it) and wasps near the pool. Other than that would definitely recommend staying here. The hosts were very responsive and the house truly elevated our trip!

We had a great stay at the Grotto! There were 12 girlfriends on this trip, and we fit perfectly into the space. The property is beautiful, and the gate and door codes made it easy for everyone to get in and out. Food deliveries and Ubers can come out to the house as well!

Our favorite yet

The house and pool were amazing allowing all of us adults to have the much needed relaxation that had escaped us. The kids played in the pool, spa and game room the entire time. There was plenty of space we could all lounge to retreat from the heat when necessary. The waterfall and foliage all made it seem like we were in a tropical destination.

Fun house for a family trip. The front yard is a perfect spot to hang out all day long, with the pool, game room and space for games you can play on concrete. The pool is a little smaller than expected and the fact that the pool wasn't by all the backyard games made it a little difficult for the family to be all together.

Old UCLA Friends Reunion

Great place for friends to gather. All 12 of us were able to eat around the table together and gather comfortably in the living room. Beds are comfortable and house temperature easy to control. Owners very responsive via text.

Three generations enjoy vacation together

The covered patio and grotto pool with waterfall was a real hit with the whole family, and the arcade room had all the right games to keep active teens entertained. The whole house is well appointed and all the bedrooms and baths were comfortable and neat. There is plenty of parking for larger groups. We all enjoyed our stay.

The Grotto

The home is within 15-20 minutes to everything. There is a lot to do right on site with the games room, cards and board games. With three families and generations the layout of the house was perfect for all of us. It had a private area for each family group and communal areas for all to meet as well. It's starting to show it's age but still very functional and peaceful (except for the rooster next door). I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this location for a larger group.
