Staff were lovely and made us feel welcome. Great area to walk to several different restaurants. Would definitely recommend.

The breakfast was plain bad. The sausage was never cooked. I was there eating what couldn’t be cooked. All the time there was never an attendant present.the pool was nice but extremely hot.

Nice location. Water pressure could have been better but it was the 4th floor. Not informed of incidental charges and booked off another site. Have not had this problem with other bookings. However all in all a very pleasant property and comfortable sleep!

The staff was very pleasant and welcoming. The hallway near our rooms and inside our rooms smelled like marijuana. The shampoo container was empty and there was no hand soap in the bathroom. The room was otherwise clean. The morning of check out we lost all water pressure making departure less than ideal.

Perfect stay for our family. 2 bedroom with kitchen! Love having the space and appliances to have food and drinks in our place. Very comfortable. Super nice staff too! We will be back!

The person at the front desk barely looked up when we arrived. She did, however, perk up when we brought our dog in! The room was clean and well-equipped with everything we needed for our stay. My son commented that having the closet in the bathroom was weird. There was a light out in the bathroom that was not fixed, even though we reported it to the front desk attendant. Breakfast was good, but we did not like the limited milk selection in the cooler (Silk brand only).

Our family of four stayed for one night. I was a little Leary because some of the reviews weren’t great. I’m glad we stayed here! It’s a nice hotel. The pool was shallow but clean and the beds were comfortable. Our kids commented that the lady at the front desk was very nice. We would definitely stay again!

Worst stay yet
This was the WORST stay I’ve ever had. Pick another place. Thin walls, no one to answer when you call. I got no sleep. Hotels.com couldn’t even help me.

Excellent hotel for the price. The only downside is the pool which is a little bit on the small side and not super great.

The area is close to many restaurants and shopping options. The hotel was clean and staff was good enough in todays standard.

The issue with this property was not the property, but Orbitz. For the second time in 6 months, my reservation did not show up properly at the hotel. This reservation came up under a different name totally this time and the hotel says it is on your side, not theirs. Not sure why there have been these issues lately.

We were told that Expedia overbooked the hotels, and we were given a clean room, so be king, and do not sleep well together in the space

Room was clean but a little beat up. Reasonably priced We had our puppy so didn’t mind. Nice beds. Great friendly service. Good breakfast and clean facility. We had to complain about the teenage party until 5am two nights in a row, wasn’t happy about that.

Not my normal Marriott Experience
The first room I was assigned smelled so bad I walked right out and asked for another. The room I stayed in smelled a bit like dog. it was not cleaned very well, there was dog food on the floor and other dirt. There was also a gross brown substance all over one of the closet doors and the handle that I had to clean off. I am telling myself it was chocolate but who knows what it was. The air conditioning units are really loud and the closet doors stick so bad its hard to get them open and closed. The bathroom sink also was slow draining so puddled up any time you used it. The pool needs some care as well, it was dirty and moldy in spots. I stay in Marriott hotels all the time and this was definitely not typical for Marriott - it was a bit disappointing.

Recliner chairs?
On way home from surgery in Minnesota. It sure would be nice if some hotel chain offered accessible rooms that INCLUDE recliner chairs. My poor hurting wife had to make due with a couch and ottoman. It was a nice place, though.

Visit back to our home town
Very nice hotel. The pool was unpleasant. It was dirty and very cold. But that was not the reason for our visit. We loved the location. We liked the little fire pit, even though we didn't use it. It was a good visit to Des Moines.

Ok but not great
The room was nice but not clean. There was something slimey under the couch and a pan still had grease in it from prior guest. I like the area, the staff, breakfast was ok (not many options) but the cleanliness factor was off-putting

Nice area The staff was very young and unorganized as for the eating area. Trash was overflowing and they just walked right by and let it pile up. Breakfast was not what was on the website.

After we were already checked into our room at approximately 6:30 pm, staff knocked on our door because of possible leak in our sink. He had to talk to someone and then came back to check again. He said he’d let us know if we have to change rooms. Little later he said we did have to change rooms. Took over an hour before we could finally get settled in a new room. He also programmed our new keys wrong and had to wait for this. This was just such a hassle after driving over 10 hours and couldn’t go out to dinner until 8 pm. We got nothing from them for our inconveniences.

The bathroom sink was clogged. I let the front desk know and nothing was done about it. The rooms were extremely humid and sticky. We stayed in a handicap room and it looked like the place had not been looked at in months

Our staff should have worked right away to get you to a different room once they were informed of the issues in yours, so I do apologize that things were not fixed.
