All Positive!
Everything we needed was available during our stay! The owners were very responsive to any questions that we had. The "extras" (hot tub, firepit, Wii, jungle gym) were a nice touch and fun for activities for our little one. We also enjoyed walking to dinner each night, as there are many restaurants within a one block walking distance.

Spring break
We wanted to stay somewhat close to home for spring break, within 6 hours of our home in Missouri. My daughter picked Iowa so I searched for things to do and places to stay. This rental was perfect location to the heart of Des Moines. 5-10 min drive to everything we did. Concert at the Wells Fargo arena, zoo, monsterama arcade, bowling, escape room, and many restaurants. Beds were comfortable and each room had a smart tv. Kitchen had everything needed plus some . Plenty of towels and laundry on site.

New Years Eve Wedding
The Cow Tipper meet all our needs. The house is exactly as represented on line. And very clean. We used it as a home base for my son's wedding in downtown Des Moines. The location was close to downtown and also had great restaurant and bar options along Ingersoll Ave, just one block south. Would highly recommend staying here!

Fun, relaxing stay
We stayed here for the BBQ competition at the state fair. The place was just as described and pictured. The backyard was amazing with the hot tub, firepit, and a table for eating. There were plenty of towels for the 4 of us in our group. Check in and check out were easy.

State Fair Stay
The property met all our needs and expectations during our stay. It was clean, had all the necessities, and provided great entertainment in the game room to occupy two10-year olds. It was in close proximity to downtown Des Moines with easy access and ample parking. The backyard patio was a nice place to return to after long days at the State Fair. I would certainly recommend this as a family friendly property. Instructions for check in and check out were clear and easy, and owners were accommodating. Overall a very good experience.

Adventureland getaway
The house was less than 20 minutes from Adventureland and a quick ride. The kids loved the video games and outdoor play structure. The property was clean with space for all 8 of us.

Clean house, fun for kids
The house was very clean, and exactly as described in the listing. Our 3 kids love playing with the Simpsons game and the Wii in the game room, and the check in process was simple. We loved our stay here!

Beautiful Property
This was a great place to stay for our families who were in Des Moines for a softball tournament. We had 2 families stay and it was a great central location for the different ball fields. The property was very clean and comfortable with plenty of space for everyone to have their own space. The kids loved the game room and hot tub. We didn’t have time to have a fire, but the back yard is very lovely and private. Since we were at the ballpark most of the time we didn’t have time to explore downtown much, but we would stay again if we are ever back in DSM!

Perfect Vrbo!
Every year I take a group to Des Moines for my birthday, this year we had 8 people. We couldn’t have asked for a better location and place to stay. Super clean, plenty of room, incredibly cozy and comfortable, very reasonable check in and check out times, no annoyingly long check out list or anything. Hosts were prompt and went well out of their way to accommodate. We will definitely book here again in the future!

Guys Weekend
The property was as advertised. It was set up and ready for our stay. Very clean, and plenty of space to hangout. It is located in a great neighborhood. Walking distances to many bars and restaurants. Would recommend to anyone looking to visit DesMoines.

Amazing!!
My husband and I stayed here with my 86 year old mother, 3 children and 2 spouses, our two grandchildren and our dogs! It was the perfect set up! Fenced in backyard, near a park, baby gate for the stairs, high chair, porta crib AND toys! We loved every minute! The hosts are wonderful and when I messaged them at 11 pm at night that the stove had stopped they responded within minutes! Easy fix-we’d tripped a GFI outlet. Adored this older home and can’t wait to come back!

Cozy, clean, home
Very clean property./cozy. Owners very easy to talk to. We went to an eagles concert, so we did not spend a lot of time in the house. It’s nice that they allow 10 people, but really 8 sleep comfortably, the last bed is in a very small central living area, so it’s ok, but no privacy. We really loved our cozy stay at this home. The beds are really comfortable, and the remodeled bathrooms are great.

Family Wedding
Was a great little house, 3 private bedrooms sleeping a total of 6, 2 pullout sofa beds- 1 in living room 1 in back room sleeping a total of 4. Only difficulty was not having hot water for all people to shower. Neighborhood is in the process of being restored/renovated.

Hey Aimee! Our home is equipped with a 50 gallon water heater, which is larger than average residential homes. However, we do apologize for the inconvenience you had. Over 50 stays at this property, and this is a first for us - but, we we will look into seeing what we can do to improve.

Cute, clean and central location!
This house is super cute and updated inside. Very clean and walking distance to restaurants and shops. About a 5-minute drive to downtown and only 10-minutes from the airport. We would stay here again!

High Street
This was truly an amazing experience. We loved the attention to detail. They thought of everything including the grill. I asked a question and the owner responded instantly. Another satisfied customer!

Family vacation
Property was clean and more spacious than we thought when we booked. The air conditioners in the bedrooms upstairs were a wonderful surprise since it was very hot outside. We definitely recommend this rental!

Team Home Away from Home
3 moms and 3 (15) year old girls stayed here while playing in a basketball tournament downtown. The house is old but completely renovated and updated! It had everything we needed. The beds were amazing. The moms loved the backyard patio with lights. The location was close to downtown, interstate access and had nice restaurants/coffee etc. nearby. We definitely recommend this house and will stay again in the future. Ownership was easy to work with and answered all questions.
