The prioperty was exactly as described. Very spacious, clean and a great value for the price. The location was excellent as we needed to be in downtown Des Moines. The only negative at all was the sketchy feel to the neighborhood. The Bodega next to the property entrance always had a number of people milling around day and night, and there was a Police presence there several times which made us wonder. We had no problems personally.

It was a wonderful stay! The host was extremely thorough, made sure we had everything we needed and answered all of my messages within minutes! The theater room was icing on top and we enjoyed it! A great landing spot AND hangout spot for our family vacation!

Great place!

Location was amazing! We walked almost everywhere we wanted to go. The Flemming building is a bit dated, but the apartments themselves were really nice. Beds were comfortable. The theater was a great spot for our group of 9 to hangout!

An unique setup

My family of four stayed at Dan's over Christmas. The downtown location was incredibly convenient, but the highlight for my kids was definitely the theater room. Between the theater apartment and the studio, we had two differently styled spaces to give us room to move and differentiate our activities. Would definitely stay again!

Bachelorette Slumber Party

We stayed at this property to celebrate my sister getting married! The location was great with the close parking garage with skywalk/indoor access was great when we left when it was raining. Everything went very smoothly and the host was extremely responsive and attentive to our needs!

Girls Night Out

Property was clean, and host was great to work with. Close proximity to Wells Fargo Arena so made getting to and from our concert easy. We opted to park in the nearest parking ramp, and it was spendy. Host did offer a cheaper option but didnt check it out.

Great setup and location!

Great location in the heart of Des Moines. Owner even recommended a cheaper parking garage a block away from the closest one as a nice tip. Theater was a lot of fun for a guys weekend. Would be a fun place to catch some football games!

Great! As advertised, very attentive, fun setting with everything needed

We had a great time here! It was as advertised, with very responsive host and management crew. The big screen was awesome, the setup was fun and unique, and the beds were comfortable. We had only one small issue with the bathroom faucet not turning on and it was promptly addressed and fixed. The check-in process to get the FOB and parking takes a little bit of effort, but was smooth, and well instructed. Overall a great experience.

I think this property is ideal for party-goers but not for families. Having 1 tiny shower in only one of the 2 units is not comfortable or feasible for a family of 7 and an infant. A lot of the furniture was broken, the carpets in both units were filthy, and the check in process was confusing with having to get a fob to get into the building and then using a different code to get into the units. Our codes never worked but the property manager was extremely friendly, helpful and responsive. The neighborhood did not seem safe and there were multiple homeless people loitering right outside the entry doors. There were blinds on all the windows and the curtains didn’t fully cover them in the smaller unit which meant my infant could not fall asleep until much later, and there was not enough extra bedding or towels. The movie theater was fun for the kids and we appreciated the responsiveness of the property manager but we won’t be coming back or recommending.
