Just blocks from downtown, you’re perfectly positioned to explore Clear Creek, the Golden History Museum, and the shops and dining along Washington Avenue. A truly unique, walkable home base in the heart of Golden.
This unique property features four buildings; the Old House (short term rental), Casita (short term rental), The Straw Bale House (long term tenant residence), and an old Vet`s office. This listing is for both the Old House + Casita, you will also have access to the shared courtyard. Please note that another unique feature of the property is that the Golden History Tours start in the old Vet`s office on site- adjacent to the Casita. There may at times be tour groups on the property for short periods of time. Reach out to inquire about tour discounts!
BEDROOMS & SLEEPING The sleeping arrangements include 2 Queen beds, one twin bed, and two sleeper sofas.
Old House – Two thoughtfully designed bedrooms feature comfortable Queen beds with historic charm, offering a relaxing retreat after a day exploring. You will also find a full sized sleeper sofa in the living room.
Casita- One cozy bedroom with a Queen bed and a smart TV. You will also find a full sized sleeper sofa in the living room.
Extra Details: All bedrooms include room-darkening curtains to ensure a restful night’s sleep.
BATHROOMS The Old House and Casita both offer one full bathroom with a walk in shower, each come stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hotel-quality towels.
KITCHEN & LOUNGE Old House Kitchen – Fully equipped with modern appliances and everything you need to cook meals from quick snacks to full dinners.
Casita Kitchenette – Perfect for coffee, light meals, or late-night snacks. The kitchenette includes a full sized refrigerator, coffee maker, sink, and microwave.
The main house dining area seats 4 guests, while the shared outdoor dining table accommodates 4 guests as well. The lounge area features comfortable seating and large windows that fill the space with natural light. Whether you want to relax, plan your day, or gather for a meal, the open-concept layout offers plenty of space to unwind.
HEATING & COMFORT Casita – Gas fireplace with thermostat control for cozy evenings. Main House – Forced-air heating keeps the space warm and comfortable.

You’ll have access to the entire home during your stay except for the Straw Bale house, as well as all sheds on the property. They are strictly off limits and not accessible to guests.

We expect our guests to respect our guest and noise policies at all times- parties will not be tolerated. If you are unsure of what might be considered a party, please reach out to ask and we will be happy to help. Extra fees will be charged if these policies are not adhered to. •Please note that smoking of any kind is forbidden inside and will result in a minimum fine of $250 to cover the cost of mitigation. •Reservations may be subject to extra guest fees. •Early check ins may be requested the day of check in through your electronic guidebook. We do our best to accommodate these requests, however it depends on our calendar and the cleaners schedule. If approved, there is a $50 charge for early check in. •We do not allow late checkouts under any circumstances. The cleaners are very busy and plan their days ahead of time, we expect guests to be checked out by the designated time or a $125 charge will be incurred. •To make your stay more comfortable, we provide a complimentary starter supply of essentials, including toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. For extended stays, we kindly ask that guests replenish any additional items they may need throughout their visit. •We welcome one dog under 30 pounds with pre-approval. Please reach out if you would like to bring a dog. We do not allow cats. •Please be aware that the long term tenant residing in the Straw Bale House has a dog that lives on the property. However, the dog is kept separate from the shared courtyard. ✔️No smoking in or near the home. Smoking outside is ok but please keep a distance from the windows and doors. ✔️ Parties are not allowed. You are welcome to have a few guests over to visit but please let us know if you will be doing so. ✔️ Please remove your shoes by the front door ✔️Out of respect for our neighbors, please be mindful of quiet hours from 10pm-8am ✔️We are not able to accommodate late checkouts due to our cleaners busy schedules.
