We had a great time in this cabin (family of 4 with 2 adult kids). It's very nice, very comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed, beds slept well. Living room seating is great, and the rocking chair on the back deck was perfect for sunny morning relaxation. Owner was very communicative ahead of time, and responsive whenever we had a question. I would recommend this cabin. Saw deer regularly, including laying out back - only about 15 feet out the bathroom window! Pretty cool to see.
Wifi worked well, but bandwidth was not very high (~4mbps). Not a complaint - it was fine for smartphone or laptop internet browsing, but if you plan to stream some high-definition video, it might not suffice. DVD player worked fine, but is DVD-only, not Blu-Ray (again not a complaint, just a note if you bring your own movies).
Location worked well - only 10 minutes from Maxwell Falls hiking, and 25 from Three Sisters. About 20 minutes into Evergreen. But do note that there is a bit of a steep and windy drive in and out.
Driving tip to future guests. Once the road turns from paved to dirt, it can get steep and slippery. My Mazda CX-5 did not shift correctly by itself. So I would switch to manual-shifting as soon as I hit the dirt road, and used 1st and 2nd gear only. That worked perfectly for me. Even on a rainy day, with tires-that-should-be-replaced-soon, I was able to make it up the hills fine. So it may sound daunting, but it should certainly be do-able for everyone, though I can't speak for ice/snow conditions.
Again, nice cabin, and especially recommended if you're looking for a place to just hang out and relax for the week.
