We are always pleased that our guests appreciate the design and comfort our Vacation homes. That said our guest dissatisfactions with the property are not legitimate. The distance from downtown Evergreen is well described in our listing, in our driving directions that are sent to the guest on reservation confirmation day, and fully available on Google maps which are part of the listing. . We appreciate the fact that one family member had a difficult time climbing 8 steps to the homes entry but please when renting a Wilderness location home check in advance if you have family members that may have mobility issues. Our home is all on one level once guests enter the residence. Also our pet policy is clearly communicated in our reservation confirmation information so complaining that a dog cannot be left in the residence unattended is very disingenuous when the guest knew this on the day they confirmed their reservation. Our lodging contract, that this guest agreed to before they confirmed the reservation, clearly describes this policy. And the pet policy is again attached to our reservation confirmation E mail that was sent on the day this guest confirmed her reservation. If you are a prospective guest please read the property listing and Lodging contract in full before you confirm a reservation to any short term vacation home. Respectfully Michael

Brittany noted that it is a “ Bit of a Drive from downtown Evergreen”. As clearly described in the property description it is 8 miles from Downtown Evergreen, about a 15 minute Drive. Thx Michael

Dusty.. during the time of Karis stay we have uncontrollable amounts of pine tree pollen which lands everywhere for about 2weeks and appears to be dust.. there is nothing we can do to control this daily phenomena. We are un aware of the mentioned dog hair as we try to clean snd remove any dog hair during prep. We would have gladly returned to removed mentioned dog hair but we did not receive a request concerning this condition during Katis stay. We apologize for this condition Respectfully Michael

We enjoyed hosting Carmel for her families holiday rendeveaux. Carmel left our property in A+ Perfect condition and we were happy to refund her pre paid cleaning fee. Correction to guests review; It is 8 miles to services in Evergreen and this information is well described in our listing. Our roads are only windy on general windy days. During this guests stay we had 2 windy days. Most days in our Wilderness Location the weather is very calm. We are in agreement that our location is not Convenient so please if you are a prospective traveler research the location of your selected vacation lodging residence and if its to far to be convenient to services please find other vacation home options but do not leave reviews complaining about the inconvenience of our location when you knew the exact location prior to confirming a reservation Respectfully Michael

The TV in the common space works just fine. The TV has multiple functions; ie streaming, HDMI function for device hook up etc. if you arrive at Sunrise lodge and cannot figure out how to set up the TV for your desired use preference please call or text us as we I are on sight and can assist. This guest never requested assistance and to assert that the TV does not work is a factually incorrect complaint.

Yes there are 1 & 1/4 miles of some steep and some flat county maintained and graded well packed and road base surfaced dirt roads. No one has ever had a problem or been unable to access our Wilderness location in summer or winter. If our non urban, hilly, winding, alternative surface Rocky Mountain Roads are a problem, you might consider staying at a hotel in Denver.

1. Disingenuous !!! This guest read and agreed to the owners policies as a condition of making a reservation. Our Policy; the 100% refundable housekeeping/cleaning deposit is credited back to a guests credit card on Ck out day when residence is left the way the guest found it at Ck in.. It is the guests option to tidy up behind yourself or notify us that you would prefer us to retain your Housekeeping/cleaning deposit. We find the negative tone of this guests comments about the policy he agreed to, to be very petty and obnoxiously Childish after he had agreed to the policy as a condition of us accepting his reservation request. Our policy of offering a refundable Housekeeping/cleaning deposit is unique in the Vacation home industry ( most Vacation homes charge a non refundable cleaning fee) and is overwhelmingly received with very positive feedback from our valued guests 2. We had a brief power outage during this guests stay. The guests attempted to reset and reboot our router extender and in the process removed all of it programing, thus when the power was restored the WiFi did not resume service. Please if you’re a guest do not attempt to perform IT equipment Maint activities with out calling us. We are alway available and on-site during your stay. The WiFi at Sunrise Lodge works just fine since we re programmed the router and router extender equipment. 3. We’ve owned this property for more than 30 years and have had many gully washer rain storms on our mountain roads leading to the property. In 30 years + We’ve never had our roads wash out as this guest suggested they would. Our guest statements about our road washing out are just false and most likely fabricated to attach a negative spin on this review because of their unskillfully disabling the internet equipment, then falsely complaining that the WiFi did not work-and then in fact not being skilled enough to restore it, which most likely lead to the fabricated items of dis satisfaction in this review. If you are a prospective guest please read deep into our many reviews to see what a wonderful property Sunrise Lodge is according to 19 out of 20 of our many past guests. Prospective travelers please note neighbors are 150 to 200 feet away. We only point this out as our valued guests observation that “Neighbors are close” could be construed to mean just a few feet away. As to the mattress pads, yes they are waterproof mattress pads and can feel distinctly different from most mattress pads. They are waterproof for obvious reasons.. We take our guests observations very seriously and on this issue have begun to replace our mattress pads with waterproof mattress pads that are much closer in material construction to general bed padding applications. We always appreciate our guests observation as to where we might easily improve the lodging experience Respectfully Michael
