Amazing home away from home!
Myself, husband, and 1 year old son had a mini-family reunion to celebrate some birthdays with his brother and sister-in-law, aunts and uncle this past week. There was plenty of room for all of us, a great kitchen for meals, and wonderful common space to hang out. The grounds are lovely, nestled inside one of JeffCo’s many parks. The location is convenient to access and close to so many things. The owner, Dennis, was super responsive the whole time we were there and everything we needed was available, including laundry, a pack n play and high chair for our son, and lots of hot water for all the showers. We even had a picnic dinner in the gorgeous patio garden once all the snow melted. This location is perfect for us and we will certainly be staying here again the next time we’re in town (which is often!) Thank you, Dennis, for being such a warm and generous host. We can’t wait to stay with you again!

A little creepy
We arrived after dark. It was creepy driving up with a weird dummy along the road. Inside the house not a single light was left on in greeting and the furnace was set at 55. If felt very unwelcome and made it creepier than it actually was. The house was very clean but we felt uncomfortable rest of the trip based on how it started.

Amazing House
The house is in a great location, is very secluded but easy access to Denver, Golden, and lots of nature activities around. The house itself is very spacious and cozy and has a great space out back for hanging out, and a great living room for watching movies/sports. The host was great and very responsive and helpful, will definitely be staying here again if I’m ever back in the area!

Winter Stay

I want to live here!
My daughter was married at Boettcher mansion and this home was ideal for our family. The host allowed us to have our rehearsal dinner at the home and everyone simply loved the grounds and home. I highly recommend it for anyone visiting the Denver area or mountains. Great location, beautiful home!

Great stay
Came to watch concert at Red Rocks. Great location, very cool history with this place and has a wonderful outdoor area. Will stay again next time for sure. Great communication also.

attended nieces wedding reception at Origin Hotel. Supper convenient. Enjoyed the house with our family. Saw 2 Rattlesnakes mating in front yard! What an experience.

Had all the amenities needed. Beautiful place
The house is set in a beautiful scenic area with a cold stream in the back yard! Has everything you could possibly need. There were 8 adults and there is plenty of room inside and out.

Family vacation
Came out for a wedding as well as a vacation. It was centrally located for all of the activities that we chose to do. There was plenty of room for all of us to do what we wanted to do while at the house.

Amazingness
We stayed at the Vermont house and our stay was over the top enjoyable. We chose the location for its closeness to Lookout Mountain, where our wedding was. We had plenty of space for our immediate family and guests for the rehearsal dinner. It's well maintained and has awesome antiques and flowers and views. Great amount of privacy outside and easy access parking. Definitely book this place for a special occasion or simply a few nights for a quiet getaway with amazing views and fresh mountain air.

Easy access
Loved the historical building. The house was centrally located to the wedding, rehearsal, entertainment, shopping, and restaurants. Loved the easy access to hiking and biking trails. The property is secluded yet easy to access anything you might want.

Historic Ranch House Close to Red Rocks
This was a perfect setting for a group of friends visiting to watch shows at Red Rocks. The house is located within a large park and connected to the concert venue by a series of easy hiking trails. Walking home under the stars was the highlight of our trip.

Quiet Historical Stay / Great Location
College reunion for our 40th birthdays (9 people total). Quiet location that is right on hiking paths and very easy to get to local Golden hotspots. Streamlined check-in and checkout for this historical house that allows you to relax. Dennis was very accessible and we highly recommend this property!

We weren’t certain we had the correct address when we saw the gate and private property signs. After passing the gate we then saw the property as listed. It was interesting to stay in such a historical place. All the rooms were nice. The old wooden floors added to the charm of the house. Thanks for renting it.

Great house and owners
We had a great time staying here. The owner was super accommodating and went and bought a French press and grinder for us! The owners dogs are friendly and add to the experience. The property is a convenient location if seeing a concert at red rocks. All in all we would definitely come back!

We loved this place!
We just returned from three nights at this property and it was fantastic. The location was superb for exploring Golden and Morrison, and for a concert at Red Rocks you absolutely can't beat the location (we went from driveway to parking lot in about 7 minutes). The nearby park has some beautiful trails, too, and not too strenuous . This was a great destination for our group of six friends/family. Thanks Dennis!

Dog Owners Paradise
We went to the property to celebrate New Year’s with our children and dogs. The house is located in a private area of a state park and had a fenced in yard where the dogs had so much fun running around and playing in the snow! The location was right off the highway so it was very convenient to head west to skiing air south east to the city. The home was cozy and had a great main gathering space. The kitchen is a bit smaller for cooking and there weren’t enough seats for a all our guests at the dining table. The wi-Fi signal was inconsistent which made it difficult to watch movies and use our computers. Dennis was a extremely responsive to all of our questions. While there wasn’t heating upstairs it was plenty warm with the space heaters and plush bedding. There were ample supplies for all our needs. This was a beautiful setting in a quaint historic home. We would definitely come again.

Amazing historic house
Wonderful historic house on the edge of Red Rocks national park. A cozy get away on our trip to Denver. The host was very nice and accommodating. We will definitely be trying to stay here again on our next trip.

Charming Old House in Great Location
Was at CO School of Mines for Parents Weekend. How was located closeby. Also great for Red Rocks. House is historic, which is part of it's charm. Don't expect perfection in an old house. But again, that is what makes the place so cool. Has WiFi and a big TV downstairs. Kitchen is small but functional, and worked just fine for out party of 10. Master bedroom upstairs is nice and spacious. Each of the other bedrooms are smaller. No central heat upstairs, but each room has their own heater Wich worked just fine. Property is great. In the Matthews-Winter Park, tucked back in the canyon. It it adjacent to the owners small shop. Dennis was great. Communicated well and checked in periodically. We enjoyed the stay and will look for it again when we have a bigger group.

Beautifully situated with a cozy feeling. The beds are very comfortable and there were enough utensils/supplies in the kitchen. The only suggestion would be to fix up the downstairs shower as it was not welcoming to use.

Awesome house and property. We could not have asked for a better place to stay.
First of all, what an awesome piece of history. The listing information and photos are very good and accurate; however, our expectations were far exceeded by our actual experience. The location of the property feels rural, but the amenities of a city are just minutes away. There is plenty of parking for at least 3 vehicles (we had three trucks, and two had big trailers). The space around the property is beautiful with a live creek running within earshot. We were already looking to book our next stay here prior to leaving our first one. Overall, our experience was a 10/10, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay.
