I booked this VRBO expecting a relaxing weekend, but it turned into an experience filled with constant and unnecessary communication from the host or management company.
Before our stay, they asked several questions about our trip, which I was happy to answer, including that we were bringing two small dogs. The messaging quickly became excessive. For days, they repeatedly asked for our exact arrival time. I provided a two hour window, which should have been sufficient given the check in time was clearly stated. They continued to message anyway and later claimed the messages were automated, which should be adjusted to avoid frustrating guests.
On the day of arrival, they sent multiple messages and even a text saying they forgot to charge the significantly high pet fee and wanted to charge my card, plus an extra processing fee. This was their mistake, so I declined. One message even came at 12:45am, which was inappropriate. If they are going to be this particular about pets, they should reconsider allowing them at all.
During our stay, the messaging continued with reminders about basic tasks like locking doors and turning off appliances. Overall, the constant contact and billing issues made this a stressful experience rather than an enjoyable one.
