Cozy Cabin
This place is a hidden gem. Very quiet, secluded with a great view. The cabin is very comfortable and has all the comforts of home. Diane and Mitch are great host and I will be staying here again.

Snowy Mountain Escape
My husband and I had a great getaway from LA. The cabin is right out of town down this beautiful winding road on a mountain. It was warm and cozy, huge TV, and a very comfortable king sized bed. It made our stay in the snowy -10 degree weather so amazing. The views from the porch are beautiful! We had a couple things come up while we were there and they were taken care of quickly and kindly by sweet Diane and Mitch. We very much enjoyed our stay and definitely recommend this wonderful place!

Relaxing getaway
We had a wonderful long weekend at the cabin. Mitch and Diane were very welcoming and the cabin had everything we could possibly need. We enjoyed our time there and were able to just relax. We are looking forward to going back.

Quiet and Relaxing
Just over two years ago, we moved from the mountains to the city. We were longing for the peace and quiet of our mountain home, and found that at this cabin. We met the owners when we arrived, and were left completely alone until we left 3 days later, though they were available if we needed them. We hope to go back again next year. Thank you, Diane and Mitch.

Had a great stay
Great location south of denver. The view is beautiful from the deck. The hosts were very nice and accommodating. The cabin was clean and spacious for the whole family. Kids had a blast exploring the hiking trails.

Perfect cozy stay for couple
We enjoyed every minute of our 4 night stay in Diane and Mitch’s cabin. It was easy to get to, we were greeted warmly by our hosts, and there were plenty of amenities to make our stay easy and comfortable! Great location for exploring Colorado! We saw lots of deer on the property. They had great recommendations for food and things to do in the area.

Beautiful cozy cabin
This was my first house I've ever rented to stay on vacation with my kiddos. We had such an amazing time! It snowed while we were there and they had sleds available for the kids to play with. They provided everything qe needed for our stay. Such a beautiful home and the view was breath taking. We loved this location and will for sure be back in the future.

Wonderful solitude close to town
This is a lovely place to stay! I loved the the amount of sunshine in the cabin from early morning to sunset. The porch is absolutely divine. It is so quiet. Note that the internet was NOT reliable or fast enough to do video calls for work (and the streaming TV works intermittently). Cell service was not enough to serve as a mobile hot spot. This is no problem for a respite from normal life, but if you are hoping to work remotely from here or do other internet-heavy activities, that probably is not possible. I drove in to Castle Rock to work from a cafe.

Thanks for your input, Elizabeth. In the past, our 7 MBPS service has been adequate for our vacationing guests. However, after your experience we have now upgraded to a 25 MBPS service. This will now be much better for those who want to work remotely.

No regrets
We absolutely loved our stay at the cabin. Our flight had a late landing, and the hosts thought of everything by keeping the pantry stocked with some basics that really came in handy when the restaurants were closed. The view was amazing and the cabin was very comfortable. We didn't want to leave. I would recommend this location to anyone.

Incredible People

Quiet respite
This is a well maintained property and very homey. The large deck with gas warmer was a wonderful morning and evening quiet spot. Enjoyed watching the deer and birds. If you are looking for a grassy area to hang out or play yard games this is not the place. This is definitely a place for a couple or honeymooners. Owners added nice personal touches. The owners were helpful in suggesting which vehicle to bring as we don’t have four wheel drive. I’m guessing it would be a wonderful winter retreat location as well!

Comfortable and well equipped
Hosts were friendly, helpful, and respected our privacy while making themselves available for us. Fishing was a bit further away than expected but we loved the South Platte River. Large deck gave us lots of outdoor time.

Peaceful beauty, close to so much!
My family of 3 really all enjoyed our stay here. The views were beautiful and the cabin was just as described. We loved getting up and talking a walk around the property to look for wildlife or signs of some. We did see a deer once but saw tracks and evidence of wildlife every time we went out. Best of all was the proximity to so much! All within 30-60 minute drive are Denver, Golden, Colorado Springs and of course Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods. It was a great location that was just remote enough and a lovely place to come back to after a day of adventuring. The hosts, Diane and Mitch were delightful. They left the best homemade bread/cake/goodness assortment and their suggestions and visitors brochures were very helpful. Make sure you plan a day to just relax at the cabin and enjoy the view from the deck! We will definitely be back and hopefully when there's snow so we can go sledding. Joye

Perfect family get-away cabin
Mitch and Diane are wonderful hosts and have a welcoming and cozy cabin. My husband and young kids loved the mowed paths on the property. The location sits perfectly between Colorado Springs and Denver, making it easy to enjoy activities in any direction.

Perfect property with privacy and beautiful views
As a former VRBO owner I am very picky about the places I stay as well as my expectations when it comes to the description of a property, amenities, photo's etc. I can tell you that this property will exceed your expectations! The owners who built this cabin just below their home welcomed us upon our arrival were so friendly and accommodating ! The cabin was darling and came equipped with everything you could possibly need even some starter food items in case you arrive hungry. It is set in a high-end yet rural area surrounded by scrub oak on several acres with amazing views of the Rocky Mountain. Although below the main house you can't even see it and will feel like you have the land to yourself.

Best Location...you will bot be disappointed
Super friendly hosts, Diane and Mitch, who want to make sure your experience is great. Kitchen is well appointed with all your needs if you decide to cook or grill. Also loved sitting outside by the firepit with a glass of wine. We were also able to venture out and see a herd of deer on their extensive property. It was nice to come home to peace and quiet after a long day of adventures. Would highly recommend!

Quiet get away in the mountains
This was a place that we were able to get away to peace and quiet for a few days. Diane was so accommodating and made sure we were comfortable during our stay. Definitely recommend this place for a quiet little getaway.

Beautiful property in excellent location
This cabin was the perfect getaway. The owners are delightful and went above and to ensure our stay was everything we were looking for and more. The accommodations exceeded our expectations. Everything was clean, tidy, nice and cozy. The view from the porch was beautiful landscape with mountains in the distance. Everything in the city was easily accessible. We highly recommend this location!
