Stay the night for easy access to Lembongan...

This is a classic Balinese hotel = quite old and not keeping up what you maybe are used to. The rooms are small and bathrooms quite outdated. Towels in bathroom should really be replaced for good... I would say it’s priceworthy to stay here for a night or two when passing through, but never travel here for the destination nor the hotel itself. The staff was however very tender and the restaurant, with both breakfast and dinner, filled its purpose. Get the coffee from the Kopi next door tough. Great location right by the beach and minutes away from the boats to Lembongan.

Great location for island transfers!

I had a stopover here on my way to Nusa Lembongan and had a great stay. The environment is beautiful, breakfast was a good selection and the room was spacious and had all that was needed with a comfortable bed. The restaurant is on the beachfront - a great location for catching the boat to the islands. I had a massage too and was really happy with the spa service on-site - easy! Would stay here again

The staff were very accomodating and looked after our every need . The established gardens were beautiful . The pool area is lovely ; could do with a few more lounges . The building itself is showing its age now . Tiles in bathroom needed to be cleaner !

There are a large number of hotels to choose from in Sanur. Like a lot of people we made our choice based on price and the pictures on the websites. It was a good choice. Sanur itself is a quiet resort, certainly compared to Kuta. It is a starting point for many of the ferries to the islands. Diwangkara hotel is well positioned in a great location with direct access to the beach and the ferries. The hotel has quite a few negative reviews on line; we can see where some of these are coming from but think that people are being a bit harsh. The towels do need replacing, the bathrooms need refurbishing. But they are clean, breakfast is good value, the restaurant looks onto the beach, the pool is excellent. The best bit was the staff who were pleasant and helpful throughout. We stayed for a week and were very happy there, using Sanur as a base to explore the island. Would we stay again? If we go back to Sanur then definitely.

Traditional Indonesian Style

The hotel was exactly what we hoped to find in Bali. We had a great and clean room with a good bed. Every thing worked well. The staff is very friendly and helpfull.

Very much enjoyed our stay. Excellent staff who do their job well. Rooms was in need of some refurbishing. Fresh coat of paint. Bathroom needs to be upgraded.

Väldigt slitet!!

Väldigt slitet. Dörren till toaletten gick inte att stänga. För att låsa ytterdörren behövde man vara två då en behövde hålla igen dörren medans den andra låste. Skicket på hotellet och rummet (villa shared pool) var dåligt. Slitet. Polen var skräpig. Och de mesta var mer eller mindre sönder. Annars fint läge. Mysigt och lugnt.

Canadian Girl in Bali

This is a very nice property with beautiful pool& right on the beach! The Manager& staff are all very helpful at arranging cabs or recommendations where to eat! The room was huge with a stocked mini fridge& it's very quite at night for sleeping. You also get a delicious welcome cocktail& mini massage which was an excellent surprise. The hotel is at one end of the Promonade which goes on forever, but if you like walking as i do it only takes an hour or you can rent a bike. Overall, it's Good value for your money& i'm an a woman traveling alone& felt totally safe staying here😊

Leuk hotel, schoon en ruime kamer. Ze waren het zwembad aan het verbouwen. Maar omdat wij maar twee nachten verbleven vonden we dat geen probleem. Locatie is prima. Restaurant zit aan het strand, eten was er prima. Badhandoeken service. Personeel vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Very handy location for Island transport.

Stayed one night. The staff at check in were very friendly. The room DJ or the price was great . The bed was comfortable for Bali standards. Linen a little grayish. Spa had the best massage. Hotel restaurant on the beach lovely food and service for dinner. Breakfast included in room price was very good. Enough choices. Unfortunately the pool was under repair due to earthquakes damage. With one night stay we didn't miss using it. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Ok men kunne være bedre

Hotel havde desværre skader efter jordskælv måneden forinden. Ingen pool da denne var igang med ombygningen. Vi blev opgraderet til villa med pool, men bar tydeligt præg af at kunne bruge en kærllighånd. Ingen liggestole ved poolen. Vi havde rotter rendende ved udhænget under taget og dem kunne vi høre frelse højlydt rundt på taget os 3 par der boede ved siden af hinanden. Vi sagde det, med det forstod meget ringe engelsk på stedet. Vi ventede 31/2 time på at få vores værelser da vi ankom lidt før, de sagde de var igang med rengøring, men der var ingen derinde, da vi var forbi flere gange for at se efter. Lå langt uden for gaderne med butikker. Ved stranden lidt små boder med turidtti g og en masse der tilbyder sejlads til Gili, nusa Penida samt Lembongan, som er til at handle med... Husk at tage små tasker med ikke store kufferter da de skal slebes ud i vandet og op på bådene. På hotel Spa, men feks manicure på 60 min blev til 30 minutter og var negleklip, filtning og en neglelak intet andet.

Old Original Balinese Hotel

The hotel has faded charm but work is starting on upgrading some areas. Restaurant served very good breakfast and food in the evening is excellent. Staff are young ambitious and gracious. All facilities worked and gardens are well established. The area is quiet, unlike the centre of Sanur and the more popular modern hotels. The best coffee in Sanur is at the Kopi Kiosk next to the restaurant on the paved walkway. We chose to stay here as my wife uses a wheelchair sometimes and the paved walkway which runs for 7kms was well suited for taking her out and about. Both my wife and daughter used the services of the Spa/Massage in the hotel and said it was excellent. I did not go as I am extremely tickleish!. Prices for food and drink are comparable with other hotels on the stretch. If you like to people watch, this is the place to do it. The beach is full of locals in the evening and at weekends and they are very friendly and nice to talk to. All in all, we enjoyed our 15 nights here, the bed was very comfortable and the hotel was half full, just the way we like it.
