"Nice place, only an overnight stay. A slight walk from the main road if you're on foot, under 10 mins. No direct transport from Newton Abbot station but if you fancy a 30-minute walk it's not a bad route. On the tip end of River Teign and quite scenic with a nice outdoor garden. Guessing you can take dogs in as they have a dog wash on site :) Restaurant and bar has some good choices."

"Food was great, staff very helpful, bar and dining room very tidy and clean, good range of drinks, both alcoholic and soft although I am out of touch with prices so had a bit of a shock. This is not a negative, just reality. Plenty of parking and convenient at the rear to avoid stairs. Some areas are in need of decorating such as stairwell and corridors however not terrible. Outside areas need tidying around the back of the building but the beer garden/smoking area was good. Wheel chair...

"We've been staying at the Trecarn Hotel in Torquay at least twice a year for the past 5 years as it's within 10 minutes walk of our son and his family , Its comfortable but basic ,I think it could do with a good freshen up .Sadly this time wasn't quite as good , we had 2 choices of room .Up 2 flights of stairs as the lift wasn't working or down 1 flight which we took as we both have knee problems.
