"Overall, the Silver Bell was a good value for the money paid. The owner, with whom we spoke only by phone, was very pleasant. The room we stayed in had just been renovated with new flooring, toilet, etc., so it was very clean. For us, safety and cleanliness were our two key concerns. Be aware that there are no amenities or decorations of any kind (coffee maker, closet, suitcase stand, pictures, etc.), other than the soap that is provided. "The management left an envelope in the room for tips for the housekeeping. I sometimes will give individual housekeepers something when I meet them. But the envelope suggested to me that the mgt wasn't paying the housekeepers enough. I will not tip them like that. Besides, what are the housekeepers being paid? Do they have to get foodstamps like people who work for WalMart? Show me that mgt is not exploiting them. "
