Great location and place

We found this location at the last minute and couldn’t be happier. Nicely kept, lots of amenities/supplies, great location, very professional. Wonderful place for a family get away!

Perfect for a family of all ages

The customer service of the apartment company was fantastic, great communication, easy to communicate with. Property is clean and garage is large and nice for beach accessories. Nice to have beach towels provided. I highly recommend.

Photos don’t do it justice!

Me and my friends didn’t expect for this place to be as amazing as it was. From the photos and some reviews complaining about outdated appliances we settled on this place due to the prime location and affordability for our group. We were blown away by how clean and bright the space was! We had so much fun, were comfy the whole time and were able to cook our meals with absolutely no issue. The vibes were clean but beachy. My only complaint is that the photos don’t do the place justice. The rental company was so efficient and the check in and out process was painless! Comfortably fit 8 people.

Great condo!

We absolutely loved the condo! It's close to the beach and the way it's set up is so wonderful if you have older kids and want a little separation. The owner's suite is on the first floor with the remainder of the rooms above. It gives such a nice sense of privacy and seclusion to enjoy a little time alone in the room or out on the beautiful secluded patio. Everything you could need is in the unit and the beach is a short walk. Just an overall amazing experience!!

Great location, mediocre duplex that could use some work

Great location, super close walking distance to beach with beach amenities available to use. Bottom floor is perfect for grandparents or couple to have some privacy with their own bathroom. This place has great potential, but for the price, I feel it is sub par for the actual facility. If the owners put a little money into the place, it could really make a difference. Everything was a little grungy and old, cabinets and drawers are falling apart. The fan chain in the bedroom is breaking, and hard to use. Could use black out shades. Minimal cooking supplies, a tiny Teflon frying pay with spray PAM. The brita water filter was expired. The dishwasher is falling apart. The washer and dryer are very old, the washer takes an extremely long time and you need multiple cycles of the dryer to dry towels. There were a bunch of beach toys, but a lot of them were broken, and the surfboards are water logged. If this place was cheaper, I would never complain about these little nuances, but for the price I expect more. It bothers me when people can afford multiple homes and turn them into vacation rentals, charge a ton and do the bare minimum.

Great location, but not cleaned or maintained well

Check in was a bit delayed due to plumber needing to fix an issue in the downstairs bathroom. The one bedroom/bathroom are on the 1st floor. It shares a wall with the garage in the other unit, which is very loud in this room (and upstairs bedroom) when operating. The location is good, though it is on a corner so you hear a lot of traffic and people noise if the windows are open. It could be a great place if it was maintained better and cleaned well. It advertises that it is cleaned "according to CDC cleaning guidelines", but this isn't true. The dirty fingerprint marks on frequently touched areas like doorknobs and light switches indicated that it doesn't get a thorough disinfecting. There were so many fingerprint marks on the walls in the kids' bedroom that I didn't let my son sleep in it. I had to wipe down all the doors and touch points in the house before we entered because it was clear that it hadn't been done in a while. There was a mildew odor, and all of our clothes smelled like it once we got back home and opened our suitcase. The bottom of the shower curtain had mold/mildew so I bought a new one to use while we were there. Like others reviewers have mentioned, the sofa is extremely uncomfortable due to a lack of padding and springs poking up. However, the beds were very comfortable. When we checked out, I noticed that the cleaning crew didn't wear gloves or masks when entering the property - again, not up to covid-19 cleaning guidelines. Overall, it could be a really nice property, deserving of the higher price, but I would never stay here again due to it's poor maintenance and lack of cleanliness.

Location great but needs some updates

The location of this property is amazing. That being said, bathrooms and kitchen are definitely worn. Biggest issue is that the master bedroom is incredibly hot and does not get any air flow, no matter what you do. It needs an air conditioner downstairs to be livable (upstairs has an air conditioner). The beach chairs and boogie boards also need to be replaced. Overall the location makes the rental, but in order to rent in future, would need these updates.

Nice property real close to the beach. Great service from agency. Boogie boards in garage are no good. Bring your own. Perfect stay and just what we needed. Will book again for sure.

Ok Stay.

The location is good, close to the beach. The home needed cleaning. The bathroom had a layer of grit in the shower, toilet and sink. The rubber mat and shower curtain liner in the shower upstairs had mildew on it. The sofa in the living room was uncomfortable (need new seating cushion) and there were several stains on it. The master bedroom and 2nd bedroom upstairs shared a wall and ceiling/floor with the neighbors garage and yard, so you could hear the activity and conversations. The rules of the house has a low noise level from 9am-9pm yet there was noise from the neighbors gardener and from the garage before 9am. I don’t think the price lived up to the value of the place and stay.

Great place & great location especially if you have dogs! Only thing I had wished was if we had a 2 car garage. there was a nice 1 car with nice additional space for washer/dryer and water gear but if we had a 2 car, there would not have been all that rooom for the other stuff. Great time anyway.

Great location, lacks a little on comfort

Our family stayed here recently to celebrate my 40th birthday. It was me, my husband and our 2 little kids (2 & 4). The location is amazing, about a block from the beach. You do have to cross a somewhat busy street but with care it's super easy and fast! Pros: Garage for off street parking Laundry facilities...especially with kiddos, we had laundry almost daily Beach towels, toys, boogie boards, etc Location to beach, fwy, restaurants (about a 15-20 min walk to 15th street where coffee, restaurants, shops are) 3 bedrooms were amazing to have for all of us Cons: Definitely a layer of grit on things...maybe being so close to beach but just didn't feel super clean. No cleaning products provided except dish soap. Would have been nice to have a counter spray so that we could do some extra cleaning. Some things need to be updated (stove/oven, sofa in living room is super uncomfortable and had stains everywhere, master mattress doesn't fit the frame so my husband was hanging off and we kept kicking our shins on the end. The mattress pad is also too old so when we took off to wash, we noticed the mattress has tons of stains; rug in kitchen has a huge stain) The toys in bedroom and in garage need to be refreshed...my daughter cut herself on the sand bucket for example. I realize my husband and I are extremely clean so maybe too high of standards for a rental house. But, for the price and location, this place was great. Don't mean to be too nit picky just honest about some upgrades that should happen.

Great family vacation

This is a great house, in a perfect location. Nice and quiet neighborhood and a block away from the beach. The basics for small children were provided, toys, pack and play, high chair and all the beach toys you need. We had a light bulb burn out and it was replaced early the next day with a smile! It was especially nice that laundry soap was even provided and even hotel style bathroom toiletries. Parking was a breeze with a garage and several spots on the street. We would definitely stay here again.

Family stayed here and really enjoyed the house and location. We were close to the beach, and the layout was great. Master bedroom was downstairs and kids had their rooms on the second floor! Highly recommend for families.

Beautiful house just one block away from the beach!

If you're looking for a place that will allow you to just casually pop by the beach for a run, swim or family time, this is it. It was driving distance from fun attractions like the zoo and Legoland, but we also enjoyed ourselves with a family BBQ and hanging out on the beach. The decor is adorable and the area feels nice and safe. They also have toys, which kept my nieces entertained. I highly recommend this home.

blue beach house in Del Mar

The house was very cute and clean, the location amazing. Beautiful weather this weekend, town was a little too quiet maybe better for a couple. But overall was a very relaxing weekend and the beach was perfect.

Excellent Management Company

Kim and Erin are outstanding rental agents who took care of absolutely every issue I had with the property in a timely manner. I rent often in Del Mar and San Diego area and this property has a fabulous location right across from the beach, but it is not a value property compared to rentals I have stayed at in this price range. (We are 55 years old and avid travelers.) Note that the living area is on the second floor with stairs that made groceries and luggage a chore to get upstairs. Ist floor has the Master Bedroom which has a concrete, garage type floor and even with throw rugs, it is not comfortable. Access to patio is oddly through the Master Bedroom or out the front door. It is a duplex that you share with owners and the Master Bedroom wall is shared with their garage which was noisy when owner worked on his car. I appreciated that they accepted our dachsund, but the owners have three dogs that barked when you enter or leave (even when my dog was not with me) . Drawers stick, appliances are old and furniture needs updating. I give management 5 stars and would rate property higher if price was in line with the amenities.
