Lovely home with everything you need for a perfect week of relaxation. Toll bridge (3 east bound only) to a gorgeous quiet beach. Tons of great restaurants 5 minutes away and grocery and liquor stores too. Beautiful neighborhood with friendly folks who respect each other's peace and quiet. Wonderful host who responded quickly to a few questions.

Lovely home

What a wonderful home! Well appointed kitchen! We loved having a pool in the backyard. Super close to all the fun stuff and great restaurants. Quiet neighborhood too! Would love to visit again!

Nice and quiet family getaway

We really enjoyed our stay! The neighborhood was nice and very quiet. Property was located outside of busy areas and businesses. It was as described in the listing and very clean! The kitchen was well appointed for a rental and the outdoor seating by the pool made it a great place for family time! We highly recommend snagging this property if you can!

Great family home

My family loved our stay here. We spent a lot of time exploring the east coast of Florida. The place was clean and great for toddlers & our child that’s wheelchair bound. We spent a lot of time in the pool, and my 8 year old could touch in the deep end, which he loved!

Good little spot.

We had a great time. But, Pictures and listing description were a bit misleading. The house is a typical Florida house in a typical Florida neighborhood with some modern updates. The price was too high as well. We stayed 5 nights and had to purchase our own body soap and toilet paper. The soap provided was about the size of a half dollar and there was only 2 rolls of toilet paper in the entire house. The bed sheets were not quality and had to be re-adjusted back onto the mattress just about every movement in the bed. TVs had a weird sound quality. The pool was pretty awesome. We had to skim the pool because it was pretty filthy. It looked green, but couldn’t tell if it was the color of the surface or algae. The listing boasts luxury. But, more like a modestly updated 3 star hotel with an overly proud price tag. I would definitely bring my family back if the price was reasonable.

Great spring break trip

This property was exactly how it was described in the description. We stayed with our daughters family with two kids age 5 mo and 2 yrs. The crib they had was great for our grandson. We were in the pool everyday. If we were not in the pool we were outside in the patio pool area enjoying the weather. Our 2 year old granddaughter loved playing in the ramp area of the pool and learning how to swim. This house is very clean and close to Publix and Walmart. Just a short 15 min drive to Flagler beach.

Great Family Holiday

Clean, spacious, minimalistic home in quiet family neighbourhood. Close to grocery, restaurants and a wonderful park for the kids and pup. Peter was quick to respond to one issue we had. Pool is shallow and perfect for young kids.

Wonderful Stay

This location was great for our family! Close to town and not a long drive to the beach. Our favorite beach was Ormond, it was more flat and had better sand for the kiddos than Flagler. The house was really clean and could’ve easily fit more people than what we had (4 adults and 2 children). We were able to move the trundle bed into the master bedroom for our kids to sleep in our room with us. The beautiful kitchen had everything we needed to cook and eat with. The pool area was wonderful! The ramp going into the pool was great for the little ones. We rarely had to clean out the pool while we were there because the cage around the pool blocked debris. Communication with the owner was quick and easy. We had a problem with the TVs the first night and they responded right away offering help! Thank you for the wonderful stay, wish we could’ve stayed longer!

Poor Management and Disrespect Host!

Unfortunately during our stay at the "pally retreat" we experienced several issues upon our arrival including fruit flies in the kitchen/ guest bathroom, a mildew stained pool deck with a faulty leaking hose (which is a slip hazard), a poorly lit grubby caulk stained guest bathroom, and bedroom furniture with pet fur and dust debris. To add insult to injury the owner insisted we bought fruit flies with us and our pet (with light fur) must have left the dark hair throughout the house ! Overall the online advertisement of the property does not match the real life in person presentation. As 5 star rated guests at other VRBO rentals the only "retreat " we would recommend to other guests is to run far far away from this property.

Palm Coast 2022

We loved the house and the location was perfect! We had to cut our stay short due to approaching Hurricane Ian. We left 2 days sooner than planned. A couple of miner things need to be addressed and I have already spoke with Peter and Sally with a short list letting them know as if they are not made aware and they are not in the home they may not know. Home is well laid out and was way more house than we needed but worked out perfect as husband was still in work remote mode so he had to work a bit during our stay. Garage was nice to be able to keep things that we did not need to use immediately. Only thing I would have changed if I could was the living room furniture - not comfortable to just sit and watch a ballgame or movie. But that is just personal preference the Navy Blue Velvet couch is beautiful but did not seem really durable for a VRBO. Pool would be great for little kids as it is all one depth. Did not get to spend much time out there with the storm and the other things we wanted to do. Beach isn't far and eating places are minutes away highly recommend Metro Diner and Mezzaluna 2 of our favorites in Palm Coast. We will definitely come back - excellent location to everything. Kudos to Peter and Sally they have a great property.

Great Palm Coast house

We really enjoyed this house and the pool. It’s in a cute little typical Florida neighborhood and close to the beach. It’s a wonderful choice especially if you have a dog due to the totally fenced in backyard. Most everything was exactly as expected and we had no problems!

Terrible Experience - Don't book this property

This property on pictures looked amazing this is why I booked the location for our family vacation. However once arriving at the property it was far from what we expected. It was very late when we arrived so we unloaded and went to bed. The next morning my children woke up early and extremely excited to get into our in-ground swimming pool in the back yard. However when we went out to the patio it was GREEN / slime green. I sent the owner a text message immediately letting him know the condition of the pool and something obviously was wrong. The pool deck was a mess the hose was disconnected the automatic fill machine was disconnected the skimmer was in the bottom of the pool. The owner responded with a text and said the pool man would be over never came he sent me a message back stating this was the same pool they had problems with a few weeks back. Then sent another message saying he would be by the next morning before 8am. He then started to question me as to why everything was disconnected I said I have no idea I showed up and this is how the pool and the auto fill were located. He told me I need to add more water to the pool as it was below the skimmer and the pump shut off. I went ahead and added water to the pool and waited for the next morning for the pool man to arrive. He showed in the 9 o'clock hour on Monday to find out the pool filter had a crack in it. The owner authorized the filter be replaced he said within 24 hours the pool would be to working order and we would be able to swim. Then on Tuesday the pool was still GREEN I sent another message to him letting him know something is still wrong obviously he stated he would send the pool man again. Then that afternoon I made a phone call to the property owner trying to explain how upsetting this was as we checked in on Saturday and now this was Tuesday still with no working pool. He started to shout at me stating things break and happen and the pool was fine on Saturday and was checked and he had a picture of the pool that morning. (He never sent me a picture of the pool as he said he would) I tried to tell him all of this should have been taken care of prior to arrival I understand things can break but the filter was obviously broken prior to our arrival the pool was green. I told him we had multiple issues with his property it was dirty, multiple lights not in working orders, the TV box didn't work in the living room and many other safety concerns.

Good Summer Vacation

The owners of this house are very nice and quickly respond to any issues at hand. The house is in good condition. The kitchen is open and easy to make meals in, there are plenty of pots and pans and other essentials you need to cook with. I left a pot holder behind for the future guests because there wasn’t one or a dish rag to wipe off counter tops with. That’s definitely not a deal breaker!!! We had a little problem while there, but Peter was on it and took care of it the best he could for sure. The beds were really comfortable. The neighborhood is very quiet and clean. We swam most days in the heated pool, me mostly!!! I loved it! (Saltwater pool too!!) Overall our stay was great. It was my husband, my mother, our Yorkie (Peanut) and me!! We all had a wonderful time and I would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking for a place that’s quiet and well kept.

Disappointed - Owner stated he would contact VRBO and have my review removed

I initially contacted the owner, shared pictures and let him know that I was unhappy with the condition of his home and was leaving the property. Instead of taking our concerns and dismay into consideration, the owner called me a scammer, said his home has a 5 star rating and let me know that if I write a review he will contact VRBO and have it removed. I can only assume that is his regular practice to maintain a 5 star rating. My email to the owner: Unfortunately, we do not find your home to be comfortable or clean and it shows a lack of care. We traveled from Delaware in hopes of enjoying a home with a pool in sunny Florida. Your property fails in comparison to the two previous VRBO rentals we have used. The welcome book is disgusting Stained Clearly dried out after becoming wet Scribbled throughout and incorrect information Windows throughout the home are filthy We had to wipe down the release buttons on the blinds because they were filthy The fan blades on every ceiling fan are caked with dust build-up The stove handle was sticky The kitchen trashcan does not function properly The bar stool seats are crusty and filthy There is dust and trash under the bed in the master bedroom There is dust build-up on top of the master bed headboard The guest bathroom tub needs to be reglazed The toilet paper holder does not have the tension rod to hold the toilet paper There is soap build-up on all the faucets The pool area is not clean Spider webs everywhere with eggs Pool furniture is filthy – not what is in the picture Pillows are filthy Seat cushion covers are filthy There is a hair weave extension on the pool deck The pool has scum around the top above the water Neither one of the pool guys brushed the sides of the pool We left the thermostat on 70 while during our stay and heat would blow from the vents periodically The trash can in the garage is already full, I can only assume from the previous renters I put our bag on top I did not put out the recycling since we will not be there to bring it back in. I grew up with a pool in our back yard and both VRBO’s had pools and none of these pools had dark brown scum around the sides above the water. In addition to not wanting to get in your pool, we were definitely not sitting or lounging on the outdoor stained and disgusting furniture. We do not live like this at home and certainly do not expect these conditions when we travel.
