The issue was my fault. I doubled booked a room through Expedia. I thought I cancelled the one but clearly didn’t.i know missed means missed but I missed the cancellation by 1 day. Soon as I noticed, I reached out to Expedia and the hotel.i went back and forth between Expedia and the hotel for 2 days straight. Messaged the hotel through the app and even personal email. Pretty sure Allen only reached out because Expedia and I kept calling. I even replied to Allen and still haven’t heard a thing. Erin at the front desk was the only one who was helpful during all of this. They should be lucky she works there. She was the only one to show any compassion or just be a decent person through all of it. It sucked the pool wasn’t open. The room overall was clean. However, the ac/heat unit was so loud. When it kicked on, it sounded like a diesel engine just sitting in the room with you. Then when it was time for it to turn off, it was a like a plane powering down. Woke me out of a dead sleep at 3am. In the bathroom, the shower, the ceiling had work done from a previous crack. It’s cracking again. My mom stayed as well and said her room also had a crack on the ceiling in the bathroom. You couldn’t really pull up on the faucet for the shower. When you did, it was like you were pulling it right out of the wall. The caulk job has worn off. Like I said, I know the double booking was my fault but 10/10 I feel like it could have been handled wayyy better between Expedia and Allen.
