Wedding Stay

My family stayed at this VRBO for our wedding and we actually had the wedding right behind this home. It was beautiful. The house was perfect. I highly recommend this home.

Great location

Perfect spot on the beach. House is as advertised. 5 star review. Couple things for owner to consider...we are thankful for opportunity to bring our pet, however it appears a lot of dogs urinating on the curtains, so they could use a wash. Cooking equipment needs to be organized and replaced. Right now it is junk drawer of pots and pans of questionable utility. I like to cook more than most but consider a modest upgrade and clear out some of the junk. Lastly - pay for double ply toilet paper and paper towels...comes off as super cheap. I have a rental, I get it, but surely 25 a year is worth the extra effort for your guests. Thanks for a great stay.

Wonderful place to stay right on the water!

I give it a great review! The only things we had to work around was the refrigerator/freezer didn’t get cold enough. There was no under the cabinet ice maker or swing under the deck like advertised. One of the toilets had an issue with the handle coming off. Absolutely nothing we couldn’t work around. We would definitely stay here again! And we will be back!

Best Vacation Ever

Perfect location….steps from the beach. House is cozy and homey. Comfy beds and plenty of towels! Games for rainy days and sand toys, boogie boards, beach tent and a small umbrella's in porch closet. Every kitchen item you need except a big pot and oven mits. Pot and keurig coffee makers. I liked having a gate on the stairs for my little dog to run free on the deck. Plenty of seating on deck and in living room. Iron and ironing board in closet. Everything was wonderful!!

A total nightmare.

If I can go back in time to change one thing about this trip, it would be to turn my happy butt around, say to the house, “Sea Y’all” LATER ✌ and tell everyone to go back home. Because this happy butt turned into a real sad butt when she witnessed the most shocking, disgusting, appalling thing about this beach house. And that was — There. Were. Cockroaches/bugs. E V E R Y W H E R E ! I wish I was exaggerating, I really do, because I’m still in shock about how sh*tty this whole vacation was and I am absolutely disappointed in how Vacasa handled the situation. DID NOTHING — I am one very unhappy customer and I won’t ever use them again. So I urge everyone who reads this to go on ahead and click on that back button and to. Get. The. He*l away from this rental. I ain’t joking. Here’s the breakdown. Cockroaches on the floor, on the front porch, on the walls, on top of the ceilings, out on the patio. Little tiny bugs in the bathroom, on the bathroom sink, on the towels — INSIDE the bath towels. Fruit flies all in the kitchen, on the kitchen table, in the kitchen sink, on the kitchen windowsill, on the stove! A total nightmare. Here are some other very disappointing things we’ve encountered with at our stay here. Nothing here works properly e.g. TVs, refrigerator, water temperature. Everything here is old and outdated i.e. the fabric dining chairs and patio chairs itch your hiney. Nothing provided either so make sure to BYOS(h*t) — don’t say I didn’t warn ya. R U N 💨

Days were wonderful and then the bugs came out at night

The location is fantastic and the house is great during the day. We enjoyed all the island had to offer and loved being right on the beach. My son got his car stuck in the driveway that had drifted with a storm and someone from the property management company noticed and helped us to get it out quickly. All was wonderful until the sun went down and the cockroaches came out. We were sitting on the deck the first night we noticed that they were pretty thick outside, so we retreated inside quickly. We made sure all trash was picked up and nothing was on the floor each night, but still came out to bugs every morning. On the second night, a very large cockroach fell from the ceiling onto my husbands face as he slept. Needless to say, he and my older two children did not get sleep during the night the rest of the trip. I contacted the management company immediately about the issue. I got an apology and they asked for a description of the bugs. I sent them pictures of many of the dead bugs around the house and never received any kind of response back. What started as an ideal vacation, turned south as most of the family was scared of sleeping at night. We will definitely be back to Dauphin Island, but will never visit this house or any other that uses Vacasa management company again after their lack of help or response in this situation.

The house is perfect for our party of 7. Right on the beach and close to town. Dauphin Island is a cozy little island, perfect for a lazy day in the sun!

Good time, accurate property

We love dauphin island. The house location and beach access was amazing. There were very few household items like trash bags, dish soap, detergent, etc. We could have brought it but didn’t realize there would be so few items. Not a problem just different than typical vrbo’s, likely because it’s managed by a realty company.

Great location

Excellent location. Gulf water is 50 to 75 feet from balcony. Only negative was the noise the large Ice maker made at night. Which, in the summer would be well utilized, not so much in February.

First time on the Gulf Coast

We were delighted with the house and location. Loved being so close to the water. The week before Christmas appears to be time that is slow, fewer other visitors—just the way our family needed in order to re-charge. SEA YA’AL provided an ample kitchen. In fact it was overly supplied with utensils. I suggest that the owners go through and purge! The dishwasher also needs a thorough cleaning. It had a musty, moldy unpleasant odor. Those were the only things that needed improvement to a wonderful visit.

Sunset paradise

We love this island and this house. It was our second time to stay there. I gave it 5 stars, but we had 2 issues. The wifi would not work. We were told that they are changing companies. The other issue is the driveway. There is too much sand. We got stuck when we arrived. This should have been corrected while we were there, but it was not.

Great location for relaxing getaway

House was very nice with lots of oceanfront views. Beach was not crowded so we had space to ourselves. Internet was out the entire trip and was never even looked at despite 5 days of calls to mgmt. We did get a small discount for this inconvenience but with three teens it was not a small issue. Several maintenance issues with the home. Some were corrected during our stay. Overall great home but management needs improvement
