Very spacious! This place had everything we needed for our stay. We were not directly on the beach but there is a small walkway that leads you to the beach, which was just perfect for us. The views were amazing. Love that so many things are within walking and biking distances. Best of all, it was pet friendly!

Spacious, clean, inviting...everything we could have hoped for! Everything was in working order, property was exactly as advertised/accurate. Best time at the beach, ever...Dauphin Island never disappoints especially staying in a property that makes it an unforgettable experience!

Early check-in available and easy to get in. Loved the cargo lift, makes it so much easier to unload. The kitchen had pretty much anything you needed. 2 bathrooms in master made it a little harder to use those bathrooms but you had 2.5 others. Easy walk in sand to beach with your own path.

Wonderful time!

Very nice place to stay. Location and views were excellent. Very short path to the beach. House was clean and spacious, well maintained and stocked. Beds were comfy. Lots of beach toys/equipment, too. We enjoyed the kayak and boogie boards. Screened porch a great place to hang out. Cargo lift is such a plus when hauling supplies in and out. (We ordered groceries to be delivered from Greer’s Fowl River.) Host very responsive.There were 18 of us, 8 adults, 10 children ages 2-8 and this place was perfect for us. We hope to come back again!

Spring break trip with our family and friends.

We spent our spring break here with our family and two other families. This house was so accommodating, there was everything that we needed. We all loved sitting on the screened porch drinking our coffee in the morning, and watching the sunrise from the observation deck. The beach was just a short walk and it was nice that our older kids could go out to the beach and we could still see them from the porch. We would stay on the beach until we were worn out and then everyone was able to relax and watch movies and play games. We are already planning to come back next year and we are still driving home!

Great location/ has everything you need

We loved our stay at beach funk! We spent a beautiful October week there. Easy access to the beach and all the beach towels, chairs, tents and toys you need! We even used the kayak! The wagon was such a help. Our toddler and infant grandchildren used the two pack n plays at the house-so nice not to have to bring those. Lots of toys , books and games for them, too! The house is large and has everything you need. We loved the large dining table and living area. We enjoyed sunrise and sunsets every day from the screen porch. We will be back!

Great value on the beach!

We had a great family trip at this home! The owner communication is excellent and she was quick to fix any issues that came up. Property is a little dated but that is reflected in the price making this a great value.

Great place with plenty of room for a large family

We had a great visit to Dauphin island! The house was great and well laid out to accommodate a large family with children of all ages. We only had to walk a short distance to the beach and we were surrounded in white sugar sand. Highly recommend this place to anyone interested

The porch

Spacious for our family to have their own space. Kitchen was big enough for all to roam around in. Now the back porch was the high light of our stay. Nice breeze coming through screens with no bugs to bother us. The kids played under the house in the sand when they had enough beach heat. Overall a very wonderful place with all we needed

Good Location/Honest Review

Our extended family spent our vacation on Dauphin Island June 8th-15th. There were eleven of us and our dog, and the house had plenty of space for us all. Some of the positives of the house included having the large screened in porch, and we also enjoyed the observation tower to look at the stars. The house is well stocked for families with toys for younger children and things to take down to the beach. The kitchen is also well stocked and the washer and dryer were great. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. Unfortunately, when we arrived at the house we found that the house was not in the best shape. First, there were two exterior doors on the screened in porch where the screens were ripped out and away/broken. An adirondack chair on the deck with fin was broken. In the upstairs bathroom the hand towel ring and toilet paper holder were hanging by a nail and extremely loose, and a cabinet for storage had one shelf that was broken. I let the owner know about the damage and she stated it was done by the previous guests in addition to the two garbage bins that were overflowing outside when we arrived. We found a pool of grease in the oven as we preheated it. Overall, the house is in need of a deep cleaning and fresh coat of paint and we felt for what we paid, it did not meet our expectations. Theresa, property owner, did respond to our concerns and offered to send the cleaner and maintainance person and also an HVAC when the A/C broke on Thursday.

Great house for a family vacation

The house was located on the beach with a beautiful view of the gulf. It was well stocked and offered most things we would ever need. There is a second bath located in the 1st floor master that allowed our family a 4th bath. We appreciated the children’s dishes, multiple pack and plays and toys for the younger children.

Room to spare, very short, easy walk to beach

We enjoyed our stay here while in town for a family wedding and some R & R. The house had plenty of room for 7 adults and a two year old. Location was the best. Close to our family beach house and restaurants. My overall rating of 4 stars only reflects the wear & tear of the property. Some updating would bring rating up to a five. Owner responded immediately to a few very small issues we had. Property seemed a little pricey for the quality of the place. Having said that, if you’re looking for a large house, close to the beach with covered parking, great views and a screened in porch, this is your place!

Spring break fun

Home is very spacious. We loved having plenty of room for the family. Short walk to the beach area. Teresa was great at responding to my questions/text messages promptly. She was very helpful and kind. I would definitely recommend this property if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing retreat.😊
