This house is truly wonderful. Many extras are included that aren't mentioned. There were beach towels, chairs, floats, fishing poles, and initial cleaning supplies (extra trash bags, laundry pods, dishwashing pods, paper towels, toilet paper, dishwashing soap, etc).It's decorated beautifully. Very beach appropriate but not tacky. The art work throughout the house is subtle yet aligned. You felt like you were at a high end beach house with taste. The beds were all very comfortable with soft cotton bedding, extra pillows and blankets if needed.The management office is top notch and we incredibly responsive if we had an issue. We were sent email reminders of any island issues (weather and possible flooding) and the upcoming trash days. Two times a week is perfect for a rental stay.As a chef, I was very worried about what tools were available in the kitchen. I packed my own but was very pleased to see almost everything was already there to cook everything from a simple to gourmet meal. Although not a huge fan of plastic glassware and plates, it's a rental and I get it. The saute and sauce pans could be better but most people eat out on vacation.The only drawback (and we believe it's an island issue)...the wifi and tv situation was really, really horrible. We could not watch tv, stream, make phone calls or listen to music because it would stop after a few minutes. We missed importand phone calls, fun football games and movie nights due to shooty wifi.

We had a great time. The house was very spacious and nice. Loved the easy access to the beach! Plenty seating at the table and sofa for my whole family. A few minor things that I want to mention, Dead roaches on countertop and bathrooms. While i understand a lot of people fish there, the refrigerator and freezer smelled very fishy. We bought baking soda boxes and cleaning supplies. but not much help.All in all we had a fantastic time and would definitely stay again.

Great Beach House for family

This house was perfect for our family vacation. With 5 bedrooms & baths everyone had their own room & bathroom. The views from the deck were beautiful . The kitchen was fully stocked except for a blender but that wasn’t a big deal . Close enough to west end beach to walk. Felt secluded & non-touristy which is what we wanted. You do have to carry everything up 2 flights of stairs to get it inside but luckily we have younger grown up kids to help with that. Would stay here again.

Great place

This home was very clean and located right on the beach. The home was unlike other vacation homes in that it had plenty of accommodations like towels, dishes, tolietry supplies, laundry/dish supplies, and even seasonings/coffee. Would 10 out of 10 recommend this property!

Relaxing Getaway

The accommodations were great for three adult couples plus a single. The 3 Master Bedrooms each have a king bed and their own bathroom. In fact all 5 rooms have their own bathroom. The heated pool was a hit and this is where we spent our afternoons. In the evenings, we watched the beautiful sunsets from the beach, just steps away from the house. October was a great time to be there. The weather was great and there were no crowds. I would recommend this house.

There were problems with the cable TV and the water in the pool. The cable was not fixed, the pool water was corrected after 3 days. The oven had not been cleaned in at least a year

Excellent

The house is absolutely spectacular. But more importantly, the management company bends over backwards to make sure you have the best time at Dauphin Island. We loved everything about it. We could be on our own or we could be a family. Some stayed inside and read and watched TV, others went to the beach, which was only a few steps away, and others spent the day in the swimming pool. I highly recommend not only this house, but especially the management company. They are beyond belief efficient, personable, and just all around great people to deal with. We have already booked for next year and can hardly wait.

Island Star sparkled!

Loved this home! The layout was perfect for our three families. Step down onto the gulf beach, enjoyed the gulf views and sounds from the spacious deck. The pool was nice as an option also. Would only suggest a larger refrigerator.

Stay on the sand

This home was everything we expected and more! First, it was so clean, especially for a dog friendly property. It accommodated our large group so well, we loved the huge table for dinners and games and there was plenty of room for everyone. The location was quiet and the beach was practically private as you were on the West End of the island. We loved the bike lane outside and easy access to the beach. The pool was a huge hit for our kids and was shaded in the afternoons so it provided a good break from beach time. We would absolutely rent this property again!

Great place with a beautiful view. Plenty space for everyone, included all we needed for a week stay. Beach was awesome. Offshore fishing was close. Great time by all, we would definitely return.

Great location and quick access to the beach! Family enjoyed! House is a bit older and could use a few amenities updated. Got to do something with those bedroom sliding doors..hard for most to open.

Dauphin Island Stay

Spent a week here 6/18-6/25/2022 and it was an amazing stay. The week was extremely hot; average temps upper 90s and the A/C worked great!! The close proximity to the beach of 100 Yards was awesome and it felt like a private beach with little traffic. The views of both the beach and the bay was fantastic. The deck pool was an added plus for afternoon and evening dipping. The spacious deck was awesome. With 10 people in our group, the 5 BRs provided enough space for all. The openness of the floor plan was ideal for gathering, eating and playing games. Our group was prepared for nightly cooking as the island has very limited restaurant options. This was ok with us. We did venture to Mobile (40 min drive) for dinner one night to Wintzell’s Oyster House (a must do!!) and the food was amazing. As for property Mgt we had one need after hours and they were very responsive; thanks. All in all a great week and we will return. Some minor suggestions: we rented a deck umbrella as it was needed at the pool or deck. With the price of this rental; owners should invest in some deck umbrellas for shade. Also the kitchen area was great and for the most part kitchen cookware was adequate. Suggest some bigger pots and pans for larger group cooking and also in need of Tupperware to store leftovers in fridge. None of these are deal breakers but would add to a great property. Thanks for sharing your home. Awesome!!
