Upon arrival, the property had dirty dishes in the sink as well as dirty dishes in the broken dish washer. There were two garbage bags full of trash, empty liquor bottles on the bed, tv’s were still on, dirty bed linens that had been slept on, broken dishes in the cabinet. Vacasa sent a cleaner on day 2 who was extremely rude and did not call to arrange like we requested. She placed dirty underwear that wasn’t ours on our bed with our belongings. We have yet to speak with anyone. Only text messages claiming they will refund the cleaning fee but we have not received it yet! There are only certain roads where you can access the beach. The back view is of the bay and it’s infested with bugs so don’t plan on enjoying the back yard.

Aside from being short on supplies and the top rack of the dishwasher being broke, we had a great stay! Pool and hot tub were amazing! Rooms were spacious and beds were comfortable.

Nice bay side house. Will list pros/cons experienced during our stay. Pros: Excellent communication with Vacasa/local staff regarding issues. Good size home and layout Plenty of patio room Nice pool Great location Cons: Hot tub was not working. (Literally the only reason we booked was because it advertised pool and hot tub.) Grill did not work and was replaced with a new one on our third day there. Back pool gate broken and safety issue with kids but was fixed on the fourth day of our stay. Bugs inside. With this being our first stay here not sure if this is normal but there was bugs and roaches inside the house. Flooring of main trafficked area broken and sticking up does not feel good hitting your feet.

We enjoyed our stay. Dauphin Island is a unique place, but it's important to note that there's not too much to do there. If you're looking for a place to just hang out on the deck and enjoy the view, then it's a great place. The house is relatively new, which is nice, but we had a few issues. The refrigerator had some cooling issues, the ice machine didn't work, the pool wasn't very clean, the grill needs to be replaced, and there were a lot of mosquitos. The last comment is the nature of being on the island but it's worth noting. Bring plenty of bug spray. Also, the curtains don't provide much privacy at night. With all this said, the management company was responsive. They sent someone out to clean the pool and followed up when I asked questions. Overall, we enjoyed our trip and the house. It would be even better if they could work out a few of the items mentioned.

Great house for dogs (and family). Plenty of room for family and extended family (6 adults, 3 teenagers) and 3 dogs. Very peaceful area of the island.

Came for a few days to celebrate a significant family birthday. Everything was excellent and it was a great get away. Definitely stay there again.

This bay side property has all the beauty of the wild life, natural grasses and bay beach with total access to the gulf side just across the street. The pool and hot tub were fantastic additions for our guests (cleaned and serviced weekly). Home and amenities were as advertised—clean and well-maintained. Appliances were all nicer than builder-grade often found in rentals. Because the property is maintained by a management company, you’ll find fewer personal touches you often find in private homes (e.g., leftover sun screens, beach towels, local recommendations). That said, a fantastic island location and really enjoyable property!

The rooms were much larger than we had expected which was nice for my family of eleven. Very clean and tidy. The back deck is awesome with the pool and just a short walk to the beach area. A couple of things needed repair but it’s to be expected in a rental property. Would’ve liked a few more kitchen towels. Internet seems to be an issue but that just may be the island and the property manager was quick to call someone out to check on it for us. It didn’t get much better for long during our stay but we weren’t there to be on our devices. I would say, overall, a super nice property on a really neat little island!

We had a pretty good experience in this house. Our main complaint was the cleanliness of the property and we were concerned about the construction of the stairs. If someone is planning a trip to Dauphin Island, please understand that there is very little to see and eat on the island.
