We love it here!

We have stayed here twice and hope to come again. We love the proximity to both beach and gulf. It is clean and there are plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for our annual cousin trip. We love it here!

Sweet Retreat

The house is 5 bedrooms the layout and open floor plan of this property is great for big families. The weather was a bit cool but we were able to sit on the porch at the bayside of the house and enjoy the view with out the wind. I would definitely recommend this property.

Exactly what we needed right now!

The trip and the house were just what we needed - private, remote, quiet, with very easy access to the beach and water. The house was very large and nice - just some tiny things we might suggest - since the house sleeps 10, maybe a larger outdoor dining table to accommodate more people, and maybe just a bit of updating on the living room furniture (the armchairs were super comfy but needed to be repaired or reupholstered). Nothing that took away from our trip, just some details that would help! Overall, we all - parents, kids, and grandparents - had a wonderful time!

Family vacation

Enjoyed our stay. The home fit our family well. Sunrises & sunsets were amazing from the back porch. Beds all slept good. Extra fridge was helpful. Fishing was slow and home was dusty. No hand soap or cleaning products provided like we have experienced with other rentals. We also had to purchase batteries for 2 tv remotes.

Great destination and stay with a few small issues

Overall, this was an great stay. The management company was 1st class. The views of the sunset were awesome, the house was well maintained, the furniture was quite comfortable, the amenities such as TV, games, were great, and the kitchen appliances worked better than expected. For my parents who spent most of their time upstairs, it was a great place to enjoy the weather, the views, and the beach environment. It was right by the beach, overlooking it in fact, and if it hadn't been for the old wood and metal dock debris in the water presenting fishing hazards in front of the decaying sea wall, it would have been a great fishing spot as well. Like I said the furniture upstairs was great and comfortable but also the furniture on the deck was good too and contributed to our enjoyment. Great views of the other docks. The furniture on the lower level however should be retired. One of the chairs was already broken and another broke through normal use; maybe salt water damage. Overall however, we had a great time and these issues I mention were minor compared to the great experience we had at the property. Thank you for a great stay!

Friends vacation

Enjoyed our time (6 days) ...the guys could fish and crab everyday right there, even though they did 1 charter with a captain we had used the year before...we will definitely revisit

Not up to par

As someone that inspected and evaluated “readiness” for homes - it was not as described. The paint on the walls did not match patched portions of the walls. The ceiling had damage from previous leaks. The window seals were nasty and rusty. The dryer did not work properly. Took multiple rounds to dry clothes. The floors were awful. Then planks were spaced out and cracks in between and looked awful. The beds on the lower floor were incredible uncomfortable we stayed a week and hardly got sleep. The stair well on the right side of the house was incredibly unsafe and shifts when walking on it. Railing moved as well. The fridge in laundry room stunk and is rusty. Not as expected. .

Home needs a deep cleaning

Bathroom floors had dog hair and sand on all of them. No top sheet on master bed, microwave vents greasy and dirty. Floor under couch very dusty, looked like couch has not been moved and cleaned under for some time (I didn’t clean it but we did clean bathroom floors upon arrival). Vent on bathroom ceiling covered with dust. Found a huge dust bunny by hall table in entryway. Boards on deck, gulf side, loose. Dishwasher doesn’t clean, did the dishes by hand.The area was perfect for us. The home just needs a deep cleaning and some TLC on deck, esp the area by outer steps at side of house.

Celebrating Christmas 2021

The grands received kayaks from Santa, and this house is perfectly located for easy launching and smooth paddling in the sound. We all enjoy cooking, and the kitchen had a plethora of pots, pans, & baking dishes. The dining table for 8 was perfect for us. too. I was told it had a propane grill; it did not. There was a charcoal grill; not a bad thing, just a surprise. Since the first group to arrive discovered the need for charcoal, the last group was able to stop and get supplies before getting to the island. Fantastic week!

Absolutely perfect!

This was a beautiful house, perfectly located on the bay side with easy access to the bay side beach, fishing right off the pier, and a 2 block walk to the Gulf side! Lots of room for everyone in our group of 10, with 7 adults and 3 kids ages 4-8. We have definitely bookmarked this house for future stays!

Lovely stay

Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us! Very well appointed, and met every expectation. The kitchen is extremely well equipped, and the views are amazing! The home offers a very private feel from the deck, with fantastic sunsets and abundant wildlife to enjoy...the Porpoises And Pelicans kept us well intertained! Highly recommend, can’t wait to return...

great spot, beautiful views!

very comfortable home with beautiful views! Just be sure to bring what you need with you ... Dauphin Island does not have grocery stores or boutique coffee shops (of course some of it might be closed due to COVID19).
