Breezy Decks lives up to its name. We enjoyed many evenings on the deck, looking out over the ocean. The home was comfortable and totally sufficient for our needs. The house was stocked with ample paper towels, toilet paper, and laundry detergent for 6 people staying 9 days. The furniture was comfortable and clean. The views from inside the house were nice. The bathrooms were adequate. The kitchen table was clunky and hard to sit around around (heavy wrought iron with upholstered seats). The half bath on the second floor was very useful for those who were sleeping on the third floor at night. It was easy to keep the air cool on the second floor, but a little harder on the third floor. The golf cart was a welcomed must for getting to the beach boardwalk. Then, all our paraphernalia had to be carried out to the beach by hand (about 500 feet).
A few “wants” would have made our visit even more special:
1. Clarity that you cannot walk directly to the beach from the home.
2. Updated/refreshed paint, wallpaper, flooring. Beach houses take a beating and need to be updated every few years.
3. Comfortable outdoor furniture on the front porch (opposite the ocean view). Sunsets were beautiful but there was no place to sit on this deck except the deck itself.
4. More information about what is available at the home (outdoor fans, beach chairs, beach towels, games, books, paper and cleaning staples, etc.).
5. Advertise the ground floor apartment as overflow only. We didn’t need to use it and we were glad. It was not a place any of us would have wanted to stay.
6. A few other niceties that we left on a notepad for the owner. Nothing major - just would have made our stay more comfortable.
