The house was beautiful and spacious! It was very clean. The bay side beach was a joke. Nasty, with a toilet still on the property after many reports in the reviews. Luckily the public beach was a short drive away and it was wonderful! The ice maker doesn’t make near enough ice for all the people staying but that was an easy fix with some bags of ice. The driveway! Ugh, it’s horrible. I don’t understand why you can not add gravel to accommodate the FIVE cars that are allowed on property! The stairs going down to the beach are dangerous and have got to be fixed! Overall it was a great weekend but we probably won’t stay again.

Fantastic stay for multiple families! Very large central area, great size rooms, comfortable beds, plenty of storage in rooms and kitchen. Check in & check out was seamless. Would have loved to have a water hose on the ground level to wash things off. There’s also a toilet on the bay side shore right behind the house that was a bit of an eye sore and an odd sight. But all in all, a fabulous stay!

I’m not going to go into a ton of detail here because there is too much. Stairs aren’t safe, wobbly, pulling away from their support posts by an inch or more. Roaches and antsBathroom sink doesn’t drain wellBunk bed supports are bent and on the verge of collapse, almost collapsing while we slept. WiFi doesn’t workAll the lights randomly turned on in the bunk room by themselves at 10pm one nightThe bay side beach has an old toilet and a trash can on itNo deck furniture except a big picnic tableNo hot water to kitchen sinkGood things: beach side is pretty nice but very shelly, so you need to keep shoes on. The layout of the house is great for big families. The kitchen is well stocked. Most beds are comfy and bathrooms are nice.

House is nice, but no where to clean up except on back porch. Started seeing cockroaches the second day. Sent a message never heard anything. Drive way is terrible, had to have van pulled out by neighbors on the first day.

driveways!

The first thing I did was get stuck in the sand, and I had to be towed out. The driver said they sure need more gravel on the driveway. It looks as if the right side has washed away. Anyway, the floor is warped, and there is paint missing on the window sill and cabinets. I say this because I don't wish to be dinged for damages. Overall, we had a great time. The home is lovely, and dishes, towels, etc were all plentiful. I would rent it again if the driveway were fixed and there was no swing

Beach stay

Overall excellent house. Very clean and very private. Only suggestion is for the outside deck- the provided plastic chairs are very cheap and uncomfortable - also the hanging swing shown in listing no longer there. For a house this nice more appropriate deck furniture should be purchased Would come back again if that is updated

Wonderful home, but false advertising!

The house was great! It had all the amenities you would need like kitchen gadgets, towels, washer/dryer. The issue I had with this listing is it claims to be “beachfront” which is not accurate at all. It’s “bay front” with a small laughable beach. The gulf front (actual) beach across the street is also VERY small. There is public beach access not far from the listing. The reason I booked the listing was because I thought we could walk out the door and onto the beach which wasn’t the case. It was more difficult with small children not being directly on the beach. Dauphin island is wonderful and we will be back to the island!

Beautiful home. Peaceful location

We enjoyed our stay! There was plenty of room for our group and the kids loved the bunk bed room. It was a great location with access to beach on both sides of the island. It is close to the park with extensive undeveloped beach at the end of the island. We will stay here again if we are in the area!

Beautiful home

The home was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay. A few things that would be helpful for future visitors: another step on the back deck stairs; there wasn’t enough dishwasher detergent, toilet paper, paper towels or trash bags for 15 people for 4 days. It would have been nice to know ahead of time that there would be 1 roll of towels, 3 dishwasher tablets, 2 trash bags and 8 toilet paper rolls so we could have brought more with us. A few cosmetic things like door stoppers missing, light fixture globe missing, non working ice maker.

Great Beach House

We give it 6 Stars, Very spacious, well built 4 bedroom with comfortable beds. Extremely clean. Has most amenities. The view of the bay is spectacular. A great place to catch up with family and friends. The bathrooms are great, water pressure, non-slip floor in showers. Very much as described. There are a few quirky thing. Ceiling lamp over kitchen island should be raised 6-8 inches. Toilets are a little close to vanity, they also should be taller, not the squaty pottys. Please more than 1 tall garbage bag. A chair in each adult bedroom would be great along with a side table on each side of the king and queen beds. But overall very comfortable!

The unit was overall more than we expected. Very clean, & spacious. Parking was very tricky

I'd advise the property owner to add more gravel for more vehicles, as my car got stuck. If we had not had a truck & toe strap we would have had to call a wrecker.
