From booking to checkout this was a 10/10 experience. I cannot say enough about Krissy Roberts, she was so knowledgeable, calm when I was not lol and extremely helpful. Always reachable via text & made our stay easy & relaxing. Logistics getting on & off island can be tricky & stressful - Krissy made the process so much easier. The property is gorgeous, clean, well appointed, comfortable & serene. Several times while enjoying the island I would comment to my husband - "or we could be in a hotel!" No comparison & worth every penny. Thank you for a lovely stay on Daufuskie Island as first timers.

We loved our stay in this cottage. It is bright, airy, beautifully decorated, and very clean. We especially enjoyed the screened porch. The sunrises were just stunning. The beds were comfortable, and our communications with the management company were handled promptly. We hope to return!

Heaven on Earth

Steps away from the beach!! Waking up every morning to the ocean. I love Daufuskie and I love this spot in Melrose. Golf cart was to notch. I was glad to see that this year they upgraded the beach chairs, that helped us be more comfortable on the beach. Thank you for a great stay!

Awesome island get away

We spent our honeymoon on the island! Everything was amazing. Only small bad thing beds were not that comfortable. Could be replaced soon but outside of the amenities included in the place is to no avail we had it all. Great place will come back again.

Getaway

We came here to decompress and slow down. We calmly watched the numerous wildlife and strolled the wide, clean beaches. We took time to watch the moon rise and the sun set over the ocean. Simply breathtaking.

The Perfect Escape!

My husband and I had a fantastic stay! The house was BEAUTIFUL and so relaxing from the minute we stepped inside. We loved spending time on the back porch enjoying the view after a fun day at the beach or exploring the island. It was our first time on Daufuskie and the hosts were very helpful as we prepared for our trip. We’d recommend this cottage to any couple or family visiting the island, and can’t wait to plan our next stay!

Private, quiet upscale beach cottage experience

We loved every bit of our 3 night stay here. Upon our arrival, we were felt welcomed by the open space floorplan. The cottage looked like a magazine like experience except that it was all real including the amazing ocean view just steps away from the cottage. We had a small hiccup when we checked in as our golf cart was not at the property when we arrived. The management company quickly fixed the issue within 30 mins. The minor bump in the road was quickly forgotten as we immersed ourselves with the history and charm that the little daufuskie island had to offer. What we loved about this cottage was that it was centrally located as nothing was more than 15 mins away on the golf cart. Beware of oversleeping here at the cottage as the bed and the sounds of ocean waves will easily make you not want to wake up early in the morning. But you must, as daufuskie is beautiful in the mornings and you can spot dolphins swimming in the crystal clear water. If you are on the fence about booking this spot, don't be. Pack light as the cottage has almost everything you need except for beach towels.

A FIVE STAR EXPERIENCE !!

The property exceeded our expectations. It was spotless , beautifully decorated, comfortable, and ideally located. The property Managers Deborah and Karen were very helpful during our stay. They both came to the house to see that we got settled in and ensure everything was perfect…. And it was. We talked with several people from the Island ( including some who owned rental properties there) who knew of this rental home and they all commented that it was a great property and was very beautifully decorated. The word is out 92 Avenue of Oaks is THE PLACE TO STAY on Daufuskie. We hope to return in the Fall and bring friends so they can experience the beauty of the Island.

Best Vacation Ever

The property was simply amazing. The updates throughout the residence are awesome and totally our style. The beach being just steps away from the back porch was breathtaking. For a public area it felt very private like we were on the island by ourselves. We are hoping to come back again soon.

Loved it!

Perfect home to relax on Daufuskie! Was our second time at the property - Vrbo s time stayed a few days longer. Hosts are wonderful - quick to respond and very helpful. You can’t beat the location and privacy - at times Melrose Beach feels like your own private beach. It’s quiet and peaceful and enough to do on the island if you want a break from the beach!

Beautiful rental property

This gorgeous home is super clean and well decorated. The location is perfect with the beach just steps off the screened in back porch. The house had everything we could need. The property manager, Lisa, was super friendly and easy to get ahold of. Daufuskie island is truly one of a kind and we can't wait to come back someday.
