The first time we have ever met our host(s)! This wonderful home was just what we needed to take a family weekend away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy the water, nearby Christmas scenes, and local cuisine. We met the host on night one, who cordially showed us the home and was kind to ask if we ever needed anything, not to be hesitant to reach out. That small gesture goes a long way - just like the small town, family friendly atmospheres of Daphne and Fairhope exceeded our expectations. This was just the experience we didn’t know we needed. Highly recommend you come stay and enjoy this little home!

We stayed for a week over Thanksgiving and enjoyed this home tremendously! We had everything we needed. The hosts were gracious and it was clear that our comfort was a priority for them. They respected our privacy but made themselves available if needed. Dave made great recommendations for local restaurants and places of interest. The location was central to all the places we wanted to explore around the bay. It is less than half a mile to the Eastern Shore Trail connecting Olde Towne Daphne and downtown Fairhope. Great for biking or walking. The house is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood and, although there are other houses around, we always felt secluded. Very relaxing and serene. The interior is beautifully decorated and uncluttered with thoughtful design and local artwork. The king beds and bedding were extremely comfortable! The large screened in porch was our favorite space for playing cards and relaxing on the porch swing. It was the perfect spot for morning coffee and for winding down at the end of the day while taking in the spectacular sunsets on the bay. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here!

Beautiful little cabin tucked into the trees overlooking a tiny pond and the bay - just perfect for 'porchin'. The hosts have thoughtfully and meticulously curated a hip and stylish experience that is bursting with character and attention to detail. The interior design is spectacular. We were mostly in and out of Fairhope for late-week event and really didn't even scratch the surface of what the property has to offer. Nonetheless, we were thrilled with our stay.

This cozy property was the perfect home away from home for a quick, two-day getaway with my husband. Our hosts were extremely hospitable and easy to work with. Dave showed up on day one to give us a quick and friendly tour, which helped take the guess work out of where to find light switches and modern conveniences. He had an amazing coffee maker and even had creamer waiting on us in the fridge! He pretty much had all you need for a short or long stay and the place was immaculate and clean! Definitely check out Dave’s restaurant recommendations - they didn’t disappoint! Our favorite restaurants were Southwood Kitchen, Pearl and Sunset Pointe. The back porch was our favorite part of the home. We pretty much spent all of our time there and the sunsets were incredible! We can’t forget a shout out to the good Lord for the spectacular show!

This place was perfect! The house was immaculate and everything we could possibly want. We had never stayed at a property like this before and I can say I'm spoiled being this close to the beach. Dave was absolutely the best to deal with, he came over when we arrived and gave us a short tour and checked in with us later to see if we needed any supplies. Check in and check out was a breeze. The sunsets were amazing and best viewed from the couch swing on the porch. Be sure to hang around after dark for the frog symphony. 10/10 recommend.

Loved it!

The screened in porch is absolutely amazing. We were on a girls trip and spent most of our time out there. Dave is a wonderful host, very accommodating. Close to the Grand where we had Sunday lunch and shopping in Gairhope.

The House was adorable, great, clean screened in porch ( upstairs only) wonderful.Problem- there is no bay beach front access from the bayside of this property or the house !!Instead right in front of the porch side of house facing what should be the view of the bay is a city drain off pond of shallow, Thank you ma’am stagnant water, totally overgrown full of debris overgrown and not maintained.Beside the property and fence you have to go through a gate on the side of the property to a path that has signage grass, ( and a variety of wildlife) that flows into the bay.We had no area to play or sit and enjoy the area from the yard. Only the upstairs porch.The Actual access to a very small section of sandy beach on the bay is actually a path you have to walk down beside the house and this stagnant water/pond which is an access pass for the public or neighborhood area, which others from the area also use. From the front porch facing the bay you actually cannot even see the bay in front of of you., maybe views to the sides.Objection to this is that the pictures shown on the website did not indicate or describe that thisPond area was so close to house and between the house and bay and unkept!Owner/host was very nice and while a refund was offered when we arrive -when you book a vacation and need to get away with your family,You have a car packed with food and kids - where are you suppose to go at 4:00 pm in the day?

Everything from the prompt responses from the owners to the promise of the frog symphony was on point! I arrived later than I expected and the lights had been turned on for me to create a peaceful scene after a long car ride. Beautiful property inside and out!Sitting on the back porch swing watching the sunset was breathtakingDaphne is a super cute city with plenty to do and close enough to the beaches that you can spend the day there and still come home to a welcoming spot of your own!If relaxation is your vibe, check out this property for your next stay.

Daphne on the Bay

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay. We walked the bay beach and listened to frogs on the beautiful porch. I could have stayed forever. The owners were very attentive and accommodating. I would highly recommend and hope to get back one day!
