Five stars is an understatement. My husband and I were in Woodbury for our daughter's wedding. Our son and his wife and then my niece and her husband join us after the first night. We celebrated two birthdays prior to the wedding as well; my nephew and daughter in law. This home is spectacular. It has every amenity and more. It's furnished with pieces you would love to know their origin and their history. It's decorated with pieces that amaze you and leave you yearning to know more about them. The home and the grounds are immaculate. My favorite room was a glassed in sunroom that offered a beautiful place to watch the light of the sunrise light up the trees above the morning fog. There are multiple places to just "be".But most of all, our host is an amazing person and a talent beyond words. We are grateful and fortunate to have met him. We look forward to another visit. It is and will be, our home away from home. In closing, one of my family members summed it best. I "hit the jackpot of vacation rentals"!

We needed a home to stay for the weekend of our daughter's wedding. This place was more than advertised and was very comfortable. Alot of thought has gone into this property and the owner has a keen eye for detail. I would highly recommend this property if one needed a stay in the area.

I had the pleasure of staying at this home, and it was absolutely incredible. The house is beautifully decorated with so much care and attention to detail. It’s spacious enough to easily enjoy both quiet, private moments and shared time with others.The back garden is a true retreat—so peaceful and relaxing, it became one of my favorite spots during my stay. The location is fantastic as well, making it easy to enjoy everything the area has to offer while still having a serene place to return to.What really made the experience stand out was the host, who is exceptionally kind, thoughtful, and attentive. Guests feel at home the minute you step through the door.This property is truly a gem, and I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and comfortable stay. The location is so good I almost don’t want to tell the world. Seriously, don’t book when I want it

Unbelievable

What a fantastic home. Douglas was the quintessential host. The property was visually stunning with beautiful terraced gardens, hummingbirds, sculptures and a true zen feeling. Various well thought out spaces to gather inside and out. The beautiful art inside and out contributed to the great ambiance of the property. The gourmet kitchen was a joy to work in and the bedrooms worked well with our family. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back next time we are in the area. Bravo for a fantastic place and stay!

Great host and property!

Douglas was very accommodating and organized! The house is fully stocked with everything you would ever need. The check in process was seamless. One of the best checkouts ever…all we had to do was turn off the lights and leave the key! Beautiful grounds and garden. Highly recommend if you are in the Woodbury area!

Beautiful home

The place was spotless. It is a warm and welcoming home. Many places to gather for breakfast, cocktails, dinner. Garden is in perfect condition. Beds are very comfortable. The manager even agreed to send things we left behind!

Lovely, spacious, welcoming

This home is well situated to take advantage of the mature landscaping and backdrop of a lovely rock garden. We found everything to be beyond our expectations. Well equipped, pleasant floor plan and comfortably furnished, we were able to relax, invite family in the area to join us for a meal, and enjoy our stay. Host offered early check in which was a great help to my daughter and her toddler who had flown in earlier. Host was helpful, kind, and exactly the sort of person you hope for in this position. We discovered that the home was filled with his own sculptures as well as a lot of other interesting pieces. The House book listed so many great options for activities in the area and in general was very helpful. Honestly, we enjoyed everything about this lovely home and hope to return soon.

From the start, our host was amazing! Very helpful and welcoming. The place had everything we needed to cook a meal for our Mom’s 80th birthday! The house was well kept and a great layout for larger gatherings!

Wonderful family stay!

Doug's property was absolutely beautiful, both inside and out. The location of the property is right near the town center, so shopping options were conveniently located. This property perfectly accommodated our party of 6 adults, a teenager, and a toddler. Doug was excellent with communication and was very accommodating to our needs. We will definitely consider this property again if we come to this area.

We enjoyed our stay last summer so much that we came back again this year. The house is beautifully decorated, spacious, immaculately maintained, and well stocked. The host is very responsive but maintains privacy. I'm sure we will be back again!

Quaint home with garden views near top notch antiquing

Douglas is a fantastic host who is attentive, responsive, and went above and beyond with friendly hospitality. We rented for a weekend family bday celebration and had a lovely time grilling, playing board games, antiquing and relaxing. The home is comfortable and spacious for 8 people. Douglas has a wonderful collection of artwork as well. We hope to stay again in the future!

Beautiful getaway!

We had a wonderful time. Everything was “just so” - a gorgeous garden landscape and well appointed home with many thoughtful touches. The place is immaculate. It’s like staying at an 5 star inn , only better! Our groups loves to cook, so we enjoyed the cook’s dream kitchen. If you don’t cook, Woodbury is full of good restaurants at all price points. Enjoy!

Wanted to see New England leaves. The house was amazing. The location was quaint. The art in the house and thoughtfulness to deocration were so thoughtful. Douglas met us on our arrival and was so kind. There are so many spaces in the house to enjoy. If I could give 10 stars I would.
