Jill is the best host, she goes out of her way to welcome and accommodate your every wish.The place is lovely with the mot amazing view and so very convenient for walking to anything, the beach, the strand park and restaurants..The ocean front private patio is a great place to enjoy a bbq, cocktails, morning coffee while watching the surfers and boats right out front.Would stay there again in a heartbeat and now consider Jill a friend.Beth

Excellent GEM of a vacation spot!

We loved our stay at Dana Strand! The view surpasses the Ritz Carlton—pictures don’t capture its beauty. Peaceful with crashing waves below, the two bedrooms suited me, my husband, and our teenage daughter perfectly. This beachfront gem was a lucky find! Jill was an exceptional, attentive host. 10/10, would stay again!

Mom's 89th back to childhood Dana Point

Wonderful trip and Jill went above and beyond to ensure we had a property that would accomodate my mom and her needs ( shower as my mom's mobility is very limoted and a bath tub/shower wasn't gonna work for her. Fresh flowers awaited and all was amazing.

Excellent stay!

We loved our time at Jill’s condo. The patio and view were amazing. The hike down to the beach was beautiful. The place itself was very comfortable and clean. The city of Dana Point is a wonderful place to visit with excellent restaurants too that we greatly enjoyed!

Failed expectations

The rental property is very old, need a lot of facelifting.The furnitures were old fashion but somewhat functional. There was no washer dryer ,we were offered to do laundry on the garage of the adjacent unit. The hot water in the shower gets cold when shower in the upper unit is being used by the owner cutting short the showering. The key to the front Sliding door does not work. The door of the master bedroom opens to the garage and cannot be locked from the outside, very insecure , if the garage door is opened by someone, gaining access to the whole unit.There were ants crawling . The view is great!!//

This was an amazing property with unobstructed ocean views. Close by steps to walk to the beach. Living space was so comfortable with everything there. Property owner was wonderful. So friendly and helpful with anything we needed. We've already booked our next trip

Our beautiful stay at Monarch Bay

Such a beautiful piece of our California coast and ocean ! The homeowner has created a wonderful place for her guests. Very well decorated ...comfortable....clean and easy to access.We look forward to returning :) ...The only thing needing attention is the host's phone number listed on Vrbo....it isn't accurate with the host's actual phone number. Luckily the accurate phone number was available in the rental.

A beautiful place with a beautiful view....

This place couldn't have been located and planned any more perfectly than it is. A beautiful view of the ocean, the sunset, and the coastal area of our beautiful California coast. The owner has it decorated wonderfully and very clean and well-kept. Much attention to comfort and ease of living as well. Plenty of privacy in each unit also. A beautiful getaway :)

Property as pictured. View was stunning and location was good for walking and coastal activities. Jill was helpful and easy to work with. The property could use a deep cleaning. Sheets could be replaced. The kitchen has basics but not equipped for other than simple cooking.

Amazing and super clean!!! STUNNING!!!

By far the best place I have stayed at!!! And I have stayed at many, many places. I could not have picked a better “home” to visit. Jill was an amazing host. She gave us privacy while at the same time was readily available for any needs we may have needed. The place is beautiful, had ALL the amenities you would ever need. And the view!!! Stunning!! The balcony was huge. The description of this unit does not do it justice. Thank you Jill for an amazing visit.! We will be back!!!

Perfect location

What a wonderful place with a view that is 2nd to none. The unit was very well appointed with everything we needed for cooking, laundry, and cleanup. Each bathroom was stocked with body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and skin lotion for use after a long day at the beach. Easy access to both the path to the beach as well as the entrance to the cultural trail (a must see that is an easy hike). The owner was always available and she made the the arrival/departure process seem almost as if we were family coming to visit. Both units are the same comfort level and cleanliness. If you are looking for a relaxing, quiet place with an unobstructed view of the Pacific, this is the place to book. We will definitely be back again.

This property was absolutely perfect for our "sister retreat". It had the most gorgeous view in all of Dana Point. My sister and I loved sitting out on the balcony sipping our hot coffee early every morning and breathing in the fresh ocean air and watching the surfers and the dolphins. At night we could hear the waves which for us was very soothing. I was happy that the beds were super comfortable and we liked the fact that there was a large smart TV in each bedroom and in the livingroom too. The kitchen had everything we needed to stay in and cook our meals and there was also a gas grill out on the patio for cooking. Jill was an awesome host and such a talented artist with her artwork on display throughout the home. We definitely want to stay on this property again. We loved it!!! Thank you Jill!
